Cheers! I forgot how much I rolled off the bpms but it was primarily to accommodate the insane bass line in the middle of the tune, but that let me dig in a bit harder to the shuffle feel so I think it was a worthwhile tradeoff!
Thanks! This is one of the few games from that era that was good enough to play alot that I've never beaten, the difficulty really took a jump on the last stage!
It's crazy to watch online playthroughs now, when you see how to get through a tough part of a game, it's like that would've been nice to know 30 years ago!
It's pretty funny, whenever I think of this song, I think of trying to keep that enemy on the side of the screen so it clips itself off, but when you can just see it's front hand, it jumps almost in time to the song!
Ha! The trick was always to clip them off the side of the stage so they either disappear or don't start jumping forwards, but if they do get the opportunity to jump forwards, major PITA!
Thanks! Some of the NES songs can be a bit of a chore to learn, but this one in particular was super fun, that main lead melody line is a blast on guitar!
I haven't actually ever put any of the audio tracks for these videos out anywhere. Covers kind of reside in a legally dubious territory for distribution, I'm kind of just happy youtube doesn't take them down!
Ha, that's what's so crazy about some of these soundtracks! I think the limitations of only having three channels for melody, one note at a time, really made for some unique compositions. Sometimes limitations are counterintuitively great for creativity!
@@thesosomusician Some of those NES music composers were on a different level. I'm all about spreading good music, so I'll be sure to get the word out about your channel. Mastodon cover was on point.
It's a fine line with the videogame covers, there's usually lots of room to take a spin on the original arrangement, but it's super easy to get carried away too
@@thesosomusician There is compositor of this sound track is Naoki Kodaka, he is genius, what use high tone line for bass line, listen him sounds in nes game Journey to Sirius - it's mastepies
For some reason I always thought there were several composers for sunsoft NES games, but it'd make sense it was one genius! I've been a big fan of the Batman, Blaster Master, Fester's Quest, and Gremlins 2 soundtracks for a long time. I just discovered Journey to Silius a few years ago and actually did two songs on this channel, might do a third at some point too, the whole soundtrack is killer!
I can't believe I finally found a good remix
Thanks, much appreciated, especially knowing how many covers of songs are out there these days! Cheers!
One of the best musical themes in the game. Great cover!
Thanks! Definitely a stand out tune on a killer soundtrack, I'm a huge fan of all the nes Sunsoft soundtracks!
This is fantastic 👏
Thanks! Sunsoft games on the NES have some of the most consistently great soundtracks. This one's great for guitars!
Nice! The main melody was played perfectly to the note. I also like a little slower tempo. Well played.

Awesome game. Super hard to beat. Fantastic video. 😎🤘✌

@@thesosomusician YEah, the last stage is pretty brutal. I am rather proud of the fact that I have managed to beat it. But it is hard as hell.

This legit sounds like old school Testament. Love it!
Cheers, I'd say maybe 80% of the Testament sound on this is just how heavy the original arrangement is!
I remember big crab enemy jumping all around, so annoying 😁
It's pretty funny, whenever I think of this song, I think of trying to keep that enemy on the side of the screen so it clips itself off, but when you can just see it's front hand, it jumps almost in time to the song!
I think this actually has some 70s Genesis feel to it. Besides the double-kicking, that is. You even have Phil's 70s hair and beard.
I definitely am a big 70s Genesis fan! The mix on this one is unintentionally Genesis with all the guitar reverb too!
Dual Guitar rocks! Double pedal too
Classic tune! This one was a blast to put together, the main melody is so epic!
I love this score.
Every song is awesome on it! Not sure if I could pull off any other tracks though, the other tracks always have some part that's just insane to play!
This theme has lived in my head for 30 years
I've definitely had numerous of these tunes stuck in my head for the same time period, makes it extra rewarding to learn how to play them finally!
Same here.
Absolutely killer
Cheers!!!
Awesome, man. Thank you.
Np, cheers!
que buen cover, te felicito, te quedo espectacular.
Thanks, such a great tune that's also fun to jam out!
Man how do the hell do i kill those big jumping enemies
Ha! The trick was always to clip them off the side of the stage so they either disappear or don't start jumping forwards, but if they do get the opportunity to jump forwards, major PITA!
Very nice...🤘
Thank you! Cheers!
Hell yea this is dope
Thanks! Great song from a great soundtrack, real fun to play on guitar!
Incrível 🇧🇷
Cheers!!
This guy is amazing. You by chance from Detroit ? Very Detroit sound to me
Ha, thanks! I'm NYC based actually.
For you to even... REPLICATE this musical score!? SALUTE. My favorite stage music from Batman.

This sounded a lot like the version the Minibosses played.
Ah, I didn't know they did any Batman tunes, they're the OG of NES covers in my book!
@@thesosomusician Ooh, check out the "Vantam" track on the "Brass 2: Mouth" album.
Great recommendation! I always want to do Streets of Desolation and Laboratory Ruins, not easy tunes!

NES music is extremely sophisticated, many soundtracks are three single note voicings of straight up insanity! Much appreciated, cheers!
Nice request honor. Also way to not do a literal transcription. Would prefer to see a slightly new take than a straight cover any day.

temp some high in origin
take a like
