- Grace VanderWaal began her iconic sold out "Just The Beginning Tour" on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the historic Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. In front of frenzied fans of all ages, the assembled media, and music industry heavyweights, Grace delivered one stunning performance after another and wowed the audience with some amazing new covers, like this one, an iconic torch song from 1933.

This kids got super soul chops, wow! And she did this one at 13! I see this style in her future.
This is the song my daughter was recording after I ran out of space on my phone...only her phone was having difficulties all day and this song got interrupted, and Grace got scrunched down to a wide, oompah loompah version of herself! 😁
At the end, as she was putting her mike back on the stand, I asked her if there was anything she couldn't sing. She got embarrassed! It was cute!
Ha! That was you then, shouting at the end? That completes the performance so nicely.
This song is beautiful and old and Grace has the ability to sing old songs and knows it's good, because of this musical strength, this power of interpretation she transforms the old and gives a new tonality is simply spectacular, congratulations and "always success" ! !!

The audio isn't perfect and unfortunately, the acoustics at the Troubadour can be a little "Boxie", but I can see why Grace put this song in her lineup. On listening to it a few times, I can see that Grace has a feel for this song and could really knock it out of the park with even just a slightly better set-up. That being said, I'm sure it sounded better live, and I would have loved to have been there. Love Grace Vanderwaal.
