i have a problem: i have the same type of tap, except its only one tap not two. at 1:34, where you remove the screw and pull off the tap, i have already removed the screw. however the tap refuses to move and its stuck there and i cannot turn the tap any more. any ideas how to fix this? edit: this has been fixed (i used a hammer to knock it out) now my problem is at around 2:13 when you push the spindle down and turn it. my spindle cannot move or turn at all and i cannot press it down either.
Thank you,. I replaced the cartridge in my mixer tap, turned the valve on at bottom and no matter what position the tap was in, water would just come out. Giving the cartridge a solid push sorted the problem.
Thank you! I’ve just used this at my disabled mums house there the top of her cold water tap has come off and was gushing. I turned the water off and did what you said in this video and it’s stopped! OK it’s still going to need a plumber to replace the taps but it’s no longer an emergency call out as there are other bathrooms
Thanks for the lesson. Clear, well explained, easy to understand. My problem is with a kitchen faucet of a somewhat different design, but there is enough similarity that this will help me to figure it out.
How do you fix a stiff tap that's running (that doesn't turn off as it's stuck) please? Last time, I had to use a cloth to help close it but today it's even more stiff so I couldn't close it. The tap does not turn at all (it's just stiff and running).
Help me fix this: i over rotated a tap its one just like in the video but not for a sink, for the shower and its just rotating in one spot and i dont know why this happend before and i just changed the tap but now it happened again and im wondering if there is a fix.
@@HeatingGeek don`t worry. The problem was the grip on the tap got worn out and i just changed them.(eventually the main thing got worn out too se we just changed the whole thing with one that uses a different mechanism.)
Dude, you had a video where you draw cleanser? up inside the primary circuit by creating a vacuum via letting air out of the expansion vessel? It was genius if I remember correctly. Do you know which video that was? kind regards Robbie
When your next videos mate love to see more I have a question about a ideal mini hec28 the pin on the pump proving switch won’t come out to activate the micro switch ive changed diaphragm check for blockages also took the block out and bypass pipe out all ok only thing I haven’t done is changed the pump do you think it could be this
The tap is not powerful enough or you have cold blending into the hot. Usually this will happen in a wall mounted shower or a dush for cleaning your bum on the toilet.
You'll need a plumber when you cant remove the taps or something under the floor starts leaking or some other problem happens. Trust me a local professional plumber is worth his weight in gold
That’s not a sink it’s a basin ,yes I know I’m a smart arse .That will only work on a non rising spindle if you check the circlip it’s probably slipped out of its groove.
I have zero free time. ZERO!!!!!. I shouldn't even take the 60seconds to reply to this. I have too many other things on my plate. I have 50-100 videos filmed just no time to edit and upload. I will be back.....
This is a disease caused by a few blokes and 3/4 or so of women. The art of turning off a tap is to gently rotate it until the water stops coming out. Then about a quarter to a half turn to fully compress the washer. Most women, and a few guys, turn a tap until they cannot easily turn it further. At his point the rubber washer is past is elastic envelope and jammed against the platform of the inflow. The rubber is now past its functional range and deformed, It will begin to leak soon...... Gently PLEASE !!f

Nice fix , hopefully easy to isolate using valves under sink to change cartridge.
When you back the the tube Olly?

Awesome. Saved me hell lotta money.. 👍
So would that fix work for a long time? Or Should I replace the stem/ a different part after fixing it like this?
Replace it
Does this work the same with every tap or just this one? My tap won't turn off and its stuck, it doesn't turn at all
Do you do them on them lift up taps please
Great temporary fix - turns the water off, but when you use the tap again it starts leaking again unless you use the crescent each time after using
