Glenn Close has always had the best and most accurate portrayal of Cruella. The voice, mannerisms and overall attitude she brought to life for this character will never be replaced. She kept that true authenticity of Cruella being a very English woman and also that she will speak every thought she has and doesn’t hold back from being blatantly rude. Glenn also kept the charm that Cruella has when approaching people she desires to manipulate and she made Cruella’s sense of style and passion for clothing, interior design and glamour seem completely genuine. In my personal opinion no one will ever top or come close to Glenn Close’s portrayal of Cruella De Vil.

Glenn Close definitely makes this movie. The rest of the cast does well, and that parts without her are good, too, but whenever I watch this movie and she's not on screen, in the back of my mind, I know I'm just waiting for her to appear again.

Here's the funny thing: this was the first movie I saw with Glenn Close on it. After that, every other movie I watched with Glenn as character, I was like "Oh my god, it's Cruella Devil!"
I also love how between this movie, the Borrowers, and Mouse Hunt, one can clearly see the influence of Kevin's antics from the "Home Alone" film series, just a few short years prior (my, how time flies! lol)

Like the fact that they made Artie a gay man in the movie, despite in 101 Dalmatians he marries Anita. The most perfectly cast villain in all cinema. Glenn Close was PHENOMENAL as Cruella.
As a kid, this wasn’t just Glenn Close dressed as Cruella. This WAS Cruella! I was amazed and a little terrified, but all for it!

I'm living for this resurgence. This movie was underrated for the longest time. It's nice to see it getting some recognition even if it is all about Cruella. A new generation and even an older one are seeing this for the first time. I've always loved it since I saw it when it first came out. It's nice to see it in the limelight again.

Watching this and Cruella (2021) back to back, I have to say Emma Stone had nothing on Glenn Close. Glenn's portrayal is haunting yet the perfect amount of insanity that makes Cruella the character we know.

Me being a child from the 90s, this movie was the one that introduced me to Glenn Close. And she was iconic as Cruella!
This is THE Cruella, this Cruella cannot be topped or defeated, I doubt I'll ever see a performance that can top this, no argument needed.
Cruella de Vil is a mix between her fellow Disney villains the Evil Queen and Ursula.
Here's the funny thing: this was the first movie I saw with Glenn Close on it. After that, every other movie I watched with Glenn as character, I was like "Oh my god, it's Cruella Devil!"

Like the fact that they made Artie a gay man in the movie, despite in 101 Dalmatians he marries Anita. Not to mention the fact that for some reason, Pongo and Petrie are siblings in the Cruella movie, despite the fact they become mother and father of the Dalmatians in the original story. Jasper and Horace are Cruella’s older adoptive brothers, which is also just as weird. Lastly, they made Cruella a super villain with amazing thievery skills, and we’re expected to believe she gets outsmarted in the future by Dalmatians.
YOU clearly haven’t watched the movie, either Cruella or the original.
She somehow acts even more of a cartoon than the actual cartoon character. In fact between Glenn Close in this and Jeremy Irons in Dungeons and Dragons, I can't decide whose chewing more scenery.
