Great reaction. This is a compilation video with clips from different shows / venues and it can be confusing sometimes, but it isn't always easy to get a single full performance video up on YT. This was Black BABYMETAL (just Yui and Moa) with their black metal song - I guess if you've heard other black metal songs or music like that in movies it will sound familiar. Yes, they are angry at and berating lazy boys (maybe a lazy brother) - most of the translations apparently water down some of the language or phrases they are using ... when they recorded it Yui and Moa have said they couldn't stop giggling. The huge stage was at the Tokyo Dome and centre of the arena with 55,000 people on all sides around them. There were 3 coffin shaped walkways stretching out into the audience with moving platforms. The main stage where the Kami Band were was circular - and the outer ring of the main stage also rotated (as did the inside hub where the band were standing). Above the main stage were the huge wrap around screens ... big crowd, huge arena - they needed huge screens so the people at the back could see what was happening too. Above the screens was another stage - or more accurately another 4 stages - one centre top with steps down to 3 smaller stages around it. The girls were hopping into a lift / elevator between songs (or, in a couple, during the song) to go from the main stage to the top stage (or vice versa). The top stage was something like 6 storeys high.
The title of this song is an homage and play on words to Metallica's "St. Anger". The girls are basically saying they want to hurt crappy guys that make them mad with their horrible selfish ways. "I will knock your ill-nature into shape. I will burn down everything with flare of anger." BLACK BABYMETAL (a nickname when a song is by just Moa and Yui) songs are the heaviest of all the BABYMETAL songs, and in my opinion, this song is the heaviest and most lyrically aggressive so far. Even their choreography is aggressive with its kicks, punches, and angry looking moves.
the stage was from tokyo dome 2016, 55,000 people two nights in a row. that is a performance. two nights no repeat songs. also that stage they went to the top where there is a stage up high. and then what you saw was three legs that went out so the girls could get closer to the fans.
This particular video was a compilation...as you noticed...you might consider using videos from the following channel - ua-cam.com/channels/I6VCZx5ux46V6ZGSTd403w.html - which has provided MOST of the songs from specific concerts and put the logo over it. IMPORTANT - if you use this source, they link a non-logo version in the video description for you to watch during your actual reaction while you put the logo version on your video to get past the YT censors.
What you can't really see from this video is that on top of the giant screens at the Tokyo Dome concert is another two-level stage. If you get a chance to watch the entire Tokyo Dome concerts (both nights), it is an amazing show.
Yes your absolutely right with being a heavy and aggressive song. When looking at the lyrics it’s about why they don’t like guys being all full of themselves and they need to stop being that way
has anyone mentioned they also sing on the top of the screen? and 3 long coffin shaped runways... I loved the outro by the kami band at the end... playing guitar behind the head....
Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 The sub-unit in BABYMETAL by Yui & Moa, the two evil girls (😄), called "BLACK BABYMETAL". The words used in this lyrics are harsh, aggravating and brutal especially for girls. But the combination of such overstated aggressiveness and their facial expression (overly serious and a little smile) indicates they are trying to encourage boys and inflame their guts. That is why the guys at the venue chant to the girls' moves smilingly and happily. I love their girly and benign sideward kicks not intending to hurt anyone. And the scene at 05:36 in your video where Yui & Moa spread their arms and shrug cutely their shoulders saying "what shall I do ? (to guys begging them for forgiveness)" is lovely.
I miss Black Babymetal and Sis Anger is the "hardest" of their songs. I have read that they have brought Black Babymetal with Moa singing accompanied by 5(?) dancers each in a different Babymetal era costume. The dancers are likely from Sarkua Gakuin. The idea behind this was to give Su a break, as Su's solos give a break for Moa and Yui. To understand you have to either attend one of their concerts or get a DVD of their full concerts several of which are available. The venue you were so impressed with the Tokyo Dome, capacity 55,000. You know you have made it in Japan when you play the Dome. They sold it out 2 nights running, each night a different concert. Its normal use is as a baseball stadium.
So far the biggest and more outstanding venue for me is Tokyo Dome but Budokan, Saitama Super Arena, and Makuhari Messe are top notch venues and the most shocking productions from them, there are even drones around filming i bet makes you feel like you're in another planet or something lol and yeah this is fan compilation from different shows. Keep riding this journey bro anytime you want, we'll be here. Peace! \m/
Good reaction, thanks! Probably their heaviest song: brutal instrumentals and some rude lyrics but it needs to be this way just to balance Moimoi's extreme cuteness. And everything is better with blast beats :) And yep, the Tokyo Dome setup is one of their craziest ever. Until next time!
Yes, this clip is made from recording the same song on both nights of concerts given by Babymetal at the Tokyo Dome. In some shots, Yui and Moa are wearing red tutus, while in others they are black.
Really enjoying your BabyMetal reactions... Can I please suggest the Trinty of Lights trilogy, which consists of (and in this order) Starlight, Shine, and Arkadia. I'm a relatively new member of "The One" but the trilogy is about loss, acceptance, and looking toward to future. I'm sure that those more knowledgeable than I will correct me if I'm wrong. 🤘🦊🔥🖤
I love this song mostly cause of how heavy it is. I'm a sucker for fast songs like this. I wasn't too fond of the vocals at first, but they grew on me very quickly. If you react to Dissonance (actually Distortion 😄), I hope it's live at Download 2018.
Yes!!! My favorite song of Black Babymetal ever!! Is simply Amazing and the most heavy song of Black Babymetal. Do you watch Onedari Daisakusen live or GJ?? See you in the next 🤟🏻 🦊 🔥 🔥 🔥
The song is about guys behaving badly and they don't like it. One of the line is how they're going to burn your ill nature with flame. So yup its not one of their more happy go lucky songs. They're intentionally being down and mean. Thus the minor keys. It does help when you know the lyrics. lol. I had to see the translation. I did like the dark vibe it gave. Something different for Babymetal, Surprise. It's said Yui and Moa laughed when they read the lyrics. They say the language is a bit more adult for their age at the time.
Reaction to BABYMETAL? I watch it, I like it, I subscribe 🤘🦊🤘 I think this is the darkest song of BABYMETAL, it trully fills the BLACK BABYMETAL name really well.
💀 💕 / 🔥 😡 😡 🔥 "I will knock your ill-nature into shape. Burn! Burn your anger hidden inside!" - Sis. Anger The song is about being mad. Mostly at dumb boys. : ) Most of that video was from the Tokyo Dome concert (Black Night) in front of 55,000 people, with additional footage from another show. The song was kind of controversial, and the lyrics are a bit rude, especially coming from young girls. The equivalent would be using an expression like "dumb bastard". This is one of the four songs from "Black BABYMETAL", just Yui and Moa without Su. Su also has four solo songs without the other two, not including one time covers. Even though the music is not at all similar, the title is thought to be a reference to the Metallica song 'St. Anger'.
Great choice! It's from two performances but it's put together well. The best Metal song ever about why boys can be dicks sometimes and need to shape up. Here's a version with subtitles in case you want them - worth a look as its quite funny seeing what they have to say! ua-cam.com/video/dd4I04bmTs4/v-deo.html
The part that remind you of something from the movie must be from a zombie movie 28 days later or something where that one guy leave his family to the zombies.here's the link to that part it's not exactly the same but it sounds soo similar ua-cam.com/video/Z3d7y1YrPvg/v-deo.html
Hi! Can you react to SB19? They are from the Philippines. They just uploaded their latest MV entitled WHAT? the leader wrote, compose and co-produce the song. the youngest is the creative director and all of them choreographed the song too
So this reminded you of something you can't remember, you have a problem with the notes on the scale, but you liked the stage. And " The vibes were almost like down". I really hope you have a job on the side, because what you have to offer here is presumtious, to say the least.
This song ranks pretty low on my personal ranking of BM songs. But I'm somewhat happy to admit that there's a BABYMETAL song that's almost too heavy for me. :-) Tokyo Dome in 2016 was their biggest show so far, with 55.000 fans in the audience, and the same number on the following day. The stage was indeed fantastic, and there was a particularly epic scene at the end that always leaves me with an open mouth. If you get the chance, I very much recommend to watch it in its entirety at some point. Unfortunately, there are many BM songs that are only possible to react to using compilation videos, hence there are quite a lot of those around. Personally, I don't like them, because the visuals play a huge role in BABYMETAL's shows, and these videos just don't make for a coherent experience in that regard. I guess sometimes it's better than nothing (but sometimes they really aren't).
Oy mate! Hate to break it to yeh but songs in minor keys, scales simply don't sound as pleasant as major keys, scales. Sis Anger is sung as a negative commentary on foolish, annoying, poseur men or boys. Cheers!
I think pleasant is not very accurate, more like cheery. major scales sound cheery. I tend to prefer pretty much the sound of stuff made in minor, though.
@@tackle47 No it isn't. The reactor is robbed of an honest experience. Example being the confusion halfway through where he's trying to comprehend the different staging. **Original full video can be used from off-site, if it's adequately watermarked.
