I come to this anew. Comments are old. As a retired wishing to learn, your presentations are great. Thanks.
I use a Bridgeport everyday and i've learned several things I didn't know.. Thank you
You are One of the best instructors 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That was fascinating ! I just got a big old industrial milling machine and am now looking how to use it. Didn't realize it was an hour long though...2:16 am, oops!
Absolutely fantastic video and clear explanation. Thank you
This was about 20 years of shop experience boiled down to an hour. One suggestion I see my peers doing - have two matched vises (Kurt seems to be great holding a standard tolerance making a double vise setup viable).
Yeah. Having a matched set of vices can definitely save you a lot of headache.
@@problematicpunk I'm a novice. What does matched set of vices mean?
You are missing one very important part when you are clamping a piece on one side of your vise....you need to put a spacer on the other side of your vise so that you don't ruin your vise plus it will hold the work piece better.
Thanks for another great video!
These videos are so helpful.
Cool! Lots of great stuff!
Very helpful video. Thank you for posting.
this video is so helpul i did not know how to use a drill thanks stache
very informative videos and easy to follow!!
ah so they do make angle fittings to machine and grind horizontaly with a vertical mill, I wondered if they made them like that, would save money on a horizontal mill and be able to slice on the side with one of those slotting blades that look like a sawblade, heh sweet.
thank you for the information in a clear but not too simplistic mannor that get to the heart of the matter but still explains why the mill is set up a certain way and how to get it squared up, even if the video is a little older it is still clear, and modern enough to have listed many of the features of the newer mills by bridgport and other turret mills for metal.
and I see you did indeed use the angle cutter with a slotting saw, thank you.
Thank you so much!!😊
Thanks for the video, please, I want to knowing the length and shape of the screw that connect the profile holder, because I lost the screw ,In the piece right angle attachment .
Very usefull tips Thank you!!
yes! great videos!
min 28:00 the "direction" of the screws should be labeled on the Right Angle Adaptor at the factory.
make that min 23:00 and Right Angle Attachment
Great info.
Thank you.
good job
Thank you for this video and the others in the series! Quick question. At around 36 to 37 minutes, how do you collect the coolant that is running down the work piece and table?
+Justin Mynatt Most of the milling machines have sinks at the base of the body. But this way you cannot reuse the coolant.
Are cnc machines making these absolete now would you say ????
20:05 what kind of clamp is that?
Kant-Twist
fucking helpful a whole hour of my life i wont get back
