I think that might very well be the Fastest Funjet on UA-cam. I think that's the record to beat now. Amazing flight! Makes me want to start flying mine again. I only put a few flights on it, and it's still in perfect shape. It has that Grayson Hobby setup that was popular for speed way back. I LOVE the Green! Something I forgot. I remember someone way way back put a small Jet Cat turbine on his with landing gear that was fast. I'll have to look for the video again.
@@AnythingEverythingRC-rc1yc it’s definitely the fastest Funjet I can find, I looked for a good while to see what the fastest was, few claimed it but never showed any MPH. So as far as I know it’s the fastest Funjet ever built and 16mph off the fastest electric flying wing ever built. Don’t worry! We will go faster!! The Funjet is such a fun plane and great design. With modifications it’s a beast! You should get yours going again!
20/20 vision, lightning fast reflexes, and nerves of steel required. Of course a spade and bin liner if it goes wrong 🤣🤣. Great video and good luck with the model. 😎
@@All_things_RC. Thank you! Yes, you definitely need lighting fast reflexes and 20/20 vision as well as great muscle memory! If it goes in it will be a fireball and nothing left lol
What an inspiration, makes me want to put my Funjet kit together. If you ever do another build, it would be awesome to show us how you glassed and hinge it.
I’m definitely going to build another one. This one has been crashed multiple times repainted four times it’s a pound overweight than what it should be. Plus I have some ideas and improvements for the next one. I did ALOT of modifications to this airframe other than just glassing it. But I’ll cover how I build them in a video!

Thank you! I appreciate it, yes! Slowing it down from 300 mph is a pain lol biggest issue is it’s heavy! As long as your flat and level, it will glide pretty good but the minute you tried rocking it up one way or the other like in a turn, it falls like a brick. Normally I use the motor to slow it down. At an Idle The drag of the prop slows it down tremendously, but the last landing was complete Dead stick so I didn’t have that option. lol

Lol that’s crazy…my funjet kit still sits there weight in the right motor esc combo that someone tests for me. Looks like yours may be it.😅 I don’t need 300 mph but want it close and something that lasts.
The funjet is a great airframe and been around along time. This one has been highly modified with a lot of different things done to it to achieve the speed and handle it. You can get 170 mph with a very cheap set up and stock air frame. I do recommend going to solid Elevons or reinforcing them. So I don’t normally recommend power set ups lol because especially at this power level, every run is a risk of burning something up. Of course I take that risk trying to push the envelope and go faster and faster. But any 36 mm motor 1900 KV on 6s is a good 170mph plus setup.
@@WigglfingerzRC get the same ESC I have listed in the description and go to Amazon and get a surpassed hobby 3674 1900kv motor (made for boats but I’ve done 200mph on that motor) APC 7x7 prop and CNC small parts motor mount. Great cheap setup for 170mph plus.
