- In Chechnya, LGBT people share their stories of being abducted and tortured, often hiding their sexuality from their own family. The police say the idea that gay people exist in Chechnya is an insult. “Nightline” gained rare access to a Chechen prison with the republic’s head of police, General Apti Alaudinov. ABC News’ James Longman revealed to Alaudinov that he is gay while at the prison.

He's surrounded by press and The British would know where he's at. Now if he did this without anybody around him, and just a chechenian civilian who happened to admit that then heck yeah!

Someone could have followed him after he concluded the interview and attacked him when he was alone. As a matter of fact, he explained in a separate segment that he propped a chair against the door of his hotel room.

You have to remember that certain religions completely ban LGBTQ ideology, so depending on what your religious background is, this is seen as a sinful act against the teachings from almighty God. Some of your Gods may allow for this while others say this is a sin. All I have to say is that if you are not treated how you would like to be treated, go move to somewhere where the people will treat you as you wish. There are no more than 2 genders, but there are multiple sexual orientation. It is a biological fact. Gay people are born gay and don't choose it. We should never treat them like aliens of someone bad, atleast they aren't a part of Taliban or isis. Hitting others for their sexuality is not ok
