Kristin my dear, you chose the right live performance. I think of my late dad every, single, time I hear this song Eddie's haunting vocals are tremendous. I'll ride the wave, where it takes me.....tears come to my eyes.
This was a gift.. really i never heard or saw this before... but i love and have worn out Pearl Jam TEN.... Thankyou for reminding me .. i would have gotten to it...but it was the perfect nudge to get to it!! and i was rewarded w one of the best most heartfelt performances i have ever seen... I keep telling people this is his best vocal performance but everyone only praises his Black Unplugged performance.
You have to admit, though, that Black unplugged is incredible too. They both affect me, but in different ways.

47 times......wow....I haven't even been to 47 concerts total, lol.
As a 23 year old in Seattle in 1992, I thought I had the inside scoop when I was able to pay $40 for a VHS copy of this show. Not sure how many times it had been copied and copied and copied until one made it's way to me. But even with the "tracking" issues it was worth it and I still have it in a box tucked away. I hope kids today realize just how lucky they are to be able to type their favorite band's name into a little search box and have everything available to them. (Ask you parents about tracking issues :-)

Lyrics that have meant so much throughout my life along with the Emotion and Passion that Eddie brings is simply Amazing....... Black, Comeback, Corduroy , Wishlist, Who We Are , Indifference... Etc.... No Band has done it Better!!

Although this is about his father, I always think of my late sister, my only sibling that died in 2018. Eddie just touches my soul with the words, emotion, raw talent, etc. You can tell he feels every single word he sings.

Excellent choice in song and for certain an experience not just a song! Well said indeed. Vedder’s vocals here are unbelievable! So raw, so dark and deep, so alive and spilling over with emotion. And, in a heartbeat, he pulls you in... insane talent!

I'm so glad I grew up in the 90s for my teen years. We were right in between that weird whatever the fuck the 80s was and whatever the hell this crap where in now.
Should be way more reaction vids to this epic song. One of the best grunge artist songs ever, and shits all over Nivana, imo. Maybe a little harsh, but it's true. Pearl Jam is THE greatest grunge band ever. I would have danced with ya to this one!

I love PJ and they've got the longevity, but for my money Alice in Chains was the best of the grunge bands. Their story is sad, but filled with some of the best music ever made.

Try the version from The Orpheum in Boston, 1994. It'll blow you away. Acoustics and percussion are amazing. They recently released it on vinyl.
