The movie “The devil to pay” brought me here. This is a very Beautiful song, I love it 😍.
Omg! It’s a beautiful song!!!!! The Harder They Fall brought me to “The Devil To Pay”. This song is the cherry 🍒 on top!
Me too. Great movie and lovely song.
Same here... beautiful song
Me too. It was that film that also got me here. I love this.
So many folks discovered this song at the end of The Devil To Play. I feel so lucky I learned about it at a live house concert in Maine with friends, RTR set was so wonderful and I keep coming back to their songs, but this is my favorite.
Just heard this song at the end of The Devil To Pay, a wonderful end to a powerful indie film.
5 years after discovering this song it continues to be one of the most beautiful songs I know.
I have been playing guitar since 1964 and I am asked what type of music I play. I always say I play "kitchen music". You get together with good friends and lots of instruments, some coffee or some beers and exchange songs and music. It is true living and a joy of life. You guys are fine musicians with fine voices. You play your songs with Heart and Joy and it sure comes through. You don't rush things that shouldn't be and go faster when you should. Bringing true Heart and Spirit into our world is greatly needed. All of us need to look within and find out gifts and we all have them. I am very Thankful you are sharing your Spirit and Gifts with the World. It is what is needed. Thank You! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Laurel bares her soul thank you Laurel!
A cool film called The Devil To Pay brought me here. Such a lovely song!
I met this song in the film The Devil to Pay (2019).
Honestly tho
Only time I sat through all the credits in a movie
Man I'm a fellow player too and I've never heard such soulful fiddle playing and my ears so beautiful thank you so much for sharing
Listen to the voice! There is a crazy connection between these two instruments.
If i should lose most everything
I tell you what i would do
Id pull a bow across the string
Fall away
Fall away blues
If you broke that fiddle bow
I tell you what i would do
Id start singing another tune
Fall away fall away blues
If you silenced all my sound
I tell you what i would do
Id dance all night and never sit down
Fall away fall way blues
Fall away
Fall away blues. X4
If you broke my lonely heart
Tell you what i would do
Find another when we part
Fall away
Fall away blues
Beautiful song and I've been into thrash metal since the early 80's 😆
This song is swirling around in my head every day at the moment. Fantastic singing and playing. It sounds like there are three fiddles! The guitar is nicely understated.
Acoustics. Videography is the best in their videos. This a straight shot in a room with fantastic acoustics. The instruments of the Lord are always on point.
(Lyrics from the original liner notes of "Fall Away Blues":)
If I should lose most everything,
Tell you what I would do,
Pull some bow across the string,
Fall away, fall away blues
If you broke that fiddle bow,
Tell you what I would do,
I'd start singing another tune,
Fall away, fall away blues
If you silenced all my sound,
Tell you what I would do,
I'd dance all night and never sit down,
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
If you broke my only heart
Tell you what I would do,
I'd find another when we part,
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
Fall away, fall away blues
I say, one of the most beautiful songs ever!
best wishes from Holland!
Just moved from Winnipeg 3 months ago, found these songs on YT and now find out you're playing Winnipeg in less than a week, damn my timing!
Best song of all time
This beautiful album has played daily since it's early release date, and "Fall Away Blues" has been the song playing in my head on awaking on a couple of occasions...
This is so beautiful you all are great I love the music and the lyrics
Looking forward to hearing this Saturday at White Steeple Stage in Pinckney Mi. Thank you guys for coming back to perform for us.
One of my favorite songs! And this is such an amazing performance..
Bellezza assoluta!
So wonderful, lyrics and harmony. I really love the deep soulful place this brings me to. I trace m transport to serene comfort. Thank you
I can't quite distinguish the lyrics, but the music is PERFECT. I had to listen a few times to understand why. Laurel's voice is terrific, but realisticly there are a million pretty girls with pretty voices, hers is unusual in timbre, but what makes it is the harmony by Mr. Beauchamp... not loud, just there. Then, the same story seems to happen with the violin & guitar. How you do it I have no idea but it's one of the prettiest pieces in the whole wide world.
