This pedal should be called "CHORUS-FLANGER" as the flange is way more than just a additional feature to a chorus pedal. It does both very well and should be marketed as two pedals in one.
Bought this pedal based on this demo and am not disappointed. I'm learning that I prefer more subtle effects that let the low end stay intact. The crossover is perfect! Keeps the chorus from being too thick and syrupy.
This pedal is underrated. Sits well in the mix and the ambience is clear and sublime. Money well spent. I use a fender J and certainly flatters the bass as much as the J flatters the pedal. And to be clear, this channel is my source for new inspiration. Thank you!!!
I'm so torn on this of the Boss Bf-3. I've tried many other flanger pedals and didn't like. But it would be cool to have a 2 n 1 pedal like the MXR if the Flanger is good enough to pull off some Tool sounds or close to it.
I have 9 MXR pedals, my favorite company but I ended up selling this because it was way too subtle for me. Ended up with ehx bass clone which is cheaper and more noticeable chorus, even has that x-over switch.
I find that the Aguilar Chorusaurus is more neutral and appropriate for the effect I am looking for. I have a Fender J fretless and I want to keep its own sound, improve it but do it subtly. These conclusions based on the videos I saw.
For anyone with experience with this pedal: does it sound better when placed in front of the amp (in other words, before the amp’s pre amp section), or does it sound better placed in the effects loop where it will sit after the pre amp section of the amp?

Great video, nice examples of how the pedal sounds, very good playing, and beautiful instrument too!
why is that guy yelling louder than the actual bass playing ?
I have a Ray34 and bought this pedal based on your review. Love this thing. Great job, guys.
guitarist checking in here, been looking at bass vids lately, and you make the best ones!
I got one of these. It's brilliant 👌🏿
Duff McKagan bass iconic G'nR...
I have this unit,, it is outstanding.
What do you think? The this one, the Walrus Audio Julia or the the Providence Anadime?

the best chorus for bass
I actually like the flange mode on this pedal more than my boss bf-3 flanger. Tbh I use the flange mode more than the chorus mode lol
Mxr , the bass pedals are the good, latest, best for solos playing. Sound great .x .over buttons and flanger 's .....sounds value added .
