Stevie Wonder's music is timeless. I know it's just not the genius of Stevland Morris but the God that resides therein. Cudos to the late Glen Campbell for singing this great song of Stevie's.
This reminds me of riding around town with my dad and my brother when I was a kid. He had a cassette player in the car, and had bought Glen Campbell's A New Place in the Sun album on tape, along with others by Johnny Cash, Bobbie Gentry, and Jerry Reed. We listened to all that music a lot, probably more than my dad really wanted to. Whenever I hear those songs, it takes me back.
For all who feign ignorance and/or harbor hatred (covert or overt): "A Place in the Sun" is a 1966 soul single by American and Motown musician Stevie Wonder. Written by Ronald Miller and Bryan Wells".
Hatred???? We don't all know this history of a song and our memories faid. Could you please elaborate? Is there something I just plain don't know about?
Engelbert sounded as if he were showing off his vocal talents. Glen Campbell sounded as if he meant it. It's what I call the "S" Principle: a simple song, simply sung sincerely.
Glen was amazing he sings and plays like nowone else.
A true legend in his own Wright and an icon his talent will never be followed and he will never be forgotten god has talent with glen at his throne
