I will visit Brazil soon, especially, Salvador da Bahia. As an African, it will be a dream come true. I'm learning Brazilian Portuguese to make my visit interactive with locals. Thank you for the beautiful visuals and presentation.

A true work of cinematographic art! Congratulations on this incredible work! I am Brazilian and live in another city in Bahia near Salvador and you managed to bring a perspective of vision about a city very different from what we are used to. It is a capital that has its beauties, yes, but it is not very safe in certain areas and poverty is a reality in the lives of many people from Salvador. These characteristics are usually the ones that stand out the most in the vision we have of Salvador. And through this video you managed to highlight the beauties and riches of the city that we are not familiar with. Congratulations again.👏👏👏

It felt like watching Parts Unknown, which is my favorite all-time shows. The spirit of Anthony Bourdain is with you in this form of content. I love the sociohistorical and cultural nexus when showcasing these beautiful people.
Another amazing video. I love the way that "soteropolitanos", the people that are born in Salvador, do to a place like "Pelourinho", before full of sadnessa, pain and blood, and now is a place with vibrant joy, culture rich and with people that are hospitable and freedful people.

This is so historical and very informative article about the culture of Afro Brazilian people. I love this knowledge, we never really get to know and understand such great historical reports of said people. I am from Panama, living in California. Thank you so much.
Angelica, I am thrilled that you visited Salvador. I have been following you for almost a year and a half on your UA-cam channel. And knowing that you are so close by is a true joy. Well, Salvador encapsulates much of what Brazil is. The mix of ethnicities that have composed this enigmatic country that is Brazil. Salvador is something inexplicable even to us. A blend of architecture, ways of living, beliefs, and manners of speaking. We can say that everything born in Bahia can be called authentically Brazilian. Obviously, it is not a wealthy city, urbanely structured where class differences, unfortunately, are very visible. That's precisely why Salvador is Brazil. In its splendor, in its beauty, in its contradictions which, paradoxically, reveal all the strength of our country. We cannot understand Brazil, and even Portugal and Angola, without comprehending what happened and is happening in the true civilization that formed along the Bay of All Saints. As my mother used to say since I was a child, and we would visit Salvador during extended holidays: "My child, Salvador is the Land of all Saints and all Energies". You are always welcome.
