I always wanted to do a cover of this brilliant song. Best to watch in 720p.
I planned a version somehow between the P.U.L.S.E.-version, the studio track and the Dar Williams cover.
I apologize for any wrong notes or mixing mistakes. None of us does this professional.
Thx for watching.
Simply great! Always a pleasure to see young people honoring the heritage of those old and immortal songs ...
I just love everything about this cover. At 4:28 is just amazing. The girl brushing away her hair seems to me that she's preparing to witness something that will never happen again then comes the soulful solo then the other girl's black and white picture looking frozen in time just watching.
The fact these youngsters are covering Pink Floyd makes me very happy. Kudos
Let us not forget Stefan, who provides outstanding guitar work!
I had the total opposite reaction to BKMPictures. I found your version very haunting and beautiful.
Very nice cover. Will listen again. However, one thing is nagging at me and if you don't mind a little criticism while I did listen to this. I'm sensing and seeing a lack of emotion behind the vocals. You seem to be just going through the motions. You must understand the feelings and emotions behind the meaning and the lyrics of this song or any song for that matter. You must impart those feelings and emotions into your singing the song(s). If you are going to take up singing as a career you must understand and learn this. You'll find you'll go from oh very nice or good responses to THAT WAS VERY AWESOME to any singing you do. Other than that you have a good singing voice just put the emotional power behind it and you'll be a great singer.
I respectfully disagree. What made this cover so nice was that it was not about the performers egos, showmanship, or any other cheap tricks. Can I suggest if you didn't 'see' this video, you wouldn't be making such a comment.
I half agree. Emotions are great but the thing with being so numb, there are really no emotions.
I am a massive pink floyd fan always have been from the 1960s and these two girls are awsome, I have commented on this before and never mentioned the guitarist, he is awsome never missed a beat and was bang on.....even David Guilmore messed the solo up so many times.....this is perfect and the two girls different tones were amazing
Nice 2nd solo improv. So much better that blindly copying note for note like so many do . Great job and love the tone.
Nice recording, and some nice vocal tones. But... WHY do people omit important notes in a vocal line, and replace them as if the writer didn't know what he was doing???
Hey I really like this cover, and unlike the dick-heads below who are criticising your singing, I saw Pink Floyd live. Twice. It's a really good version and I think your singing suits the song perfectly. Keep up the good work...
Good singing and original solo - different from the usual Comfortably Numb!
I only have one word to describe you guys, Totally Fuckin Awesome!...wait that's three words, I guess it's the weed, I get like this sometimes when I'm stoned, well fuckin done fellows, actually this is way more than one word, anyways....
Oke
Would of liked to hear both vocals mixed on the chorus. Great cover though!!
So nice to see these young ladies loving and preforming this wonderful classic Pink Floyd track. Really enjoyed this. Awesome!
I love Dar Williams by the way. My favorite track by her. "Mercy Of The Fallen" Hey Folks read the description to understand why I mention Dar.
Have you noticed how many 'dislikes', miserable people?
Amazing voices. I love it, especially Lilian's voice.
Massive fan of pink floyd and comfortably numb is my favorite track, someone comented that you had no emotion when performing this, but i see it in a different way, i like the toned down way you have done this be it by chance or planning. It gives it a sad feeling which is what the song is all about..... Well done....And you have both got amaizing voices, nice contrast between the two.
super d,avoir choisi cette superbe chanson avec votre super intépréation ! Ne changez rien tout est bon ! A splendid time is guaranteed for all WITH YOU ! Merci ,j,ai passé un bon moment d,écoute . Salut de France
Hey everyone, I do agree with most of what y'all are saying. But, maybe that lack of emotion is there for a reason. I think it presents a more "haunting" version of this song. What do y'all think?
I dislike things that are not real, been around since gasoline was $.38 a gal. yes,-- an old bastard. When I stumbled across this version, watching you cuties sing, wow
I discovered this masterpiece earlier this week. Shall we say that I remember when Pink Floyd first released this gem? I cannot stay away from your recording. I keep coming back. Thought it might be just me, but, I had my wife listen to it. I watched her and she was in awe. Afterward, she said that this is the most beautiful rendition of Comfortably Numb she has ever heard. You, Janna H., are one awesome young lady!
Oh...the guitar work is OUTSTANDING, also!
Just love this version....BEST cover i have heard and i am a massive pink floyd fan....your own version but nailed it totally...love you both awsome
You guys have very nice voices, but there's not really any emotion in your singing, almost like you don't want to be doing it.
shut up
adamskioffroad Well aren't we in a good mood today
***** i am in a good mood, just dont like people like you slagging others off, there is no need for it, i just played this track on my radio show, i have an inbox of mail saying how good it is, so keep your negativity to yourself, comprendi
adamskioffroad Sorry if I came off negative, I actually really like this cover... I was just giving some constructive criticism. Sonically they sound great, but performance-wise I feel like they were lacking something.
***** I am assuming you are from the usa, which would explain why you dont get the grasp of how some european accents are, I am a big Floyd fan and this is my fave track, I like how the girls have done the cover, i also like the solo's they arent exact, like the vocals, why do an exact cover, they have sung it how they want to, so i fail to see why you are having to post the comments or do you just go trolling videos for something to do!!
Dont even think about trolling my vids, i will just block you
super super super goed prachtig gezongen en gespeeld
Girl with brown hair have great voice for this song but ruined everything singing without emotions! Sad almost crying is ok but U're singing like there is no life in you!
Maybe that's because she's comfortably numb? The choruses consist of the thoughts of Pink, who at this point had become rather emotionless / numb (like there was no life in him, to use your words). The key-changes carry emotion. The chorus' lyrics themselves carry emotion, but for me, the most intense feelings in this song were drawn from the fact that as deep as one's emotions could flow with a thought such as "the child has grown, the dream is gone", the singer is no longer able to feel anything at all... 'cept that damn pin-prick.
Loved it. Loved the gentle intro and the subtle backing vocals. If I here a cover I don't want to listen to a clone. This carries itself really well. Nice driving music.
Great stuff... both girls have amazing voices and the guitarrist is excellent too.
as a musician for over 45 yrs playing pink floyd, deep purple, frampton, and many of the great older band covers, i will tell you this, your voices are controlled and lovely to listen to. i actually brought out my les paul that is older than both of you together and played along with you. brought back many memories. i do not expect any artist to sound exactly like the band you are playing, only the original band can sound like themselves. we pay respect by singing their music with respect and giving all we have. please do more young ladies. jenna, you are a joy to listen too. lillian, you are a pleasure to listen to. stefan, play on son, you have a great future. i have had the pleasure of knowing david gilmour and roger waters personally. they would really enjoy this rendition of the classic, comfortably numb.
I have a deep-rooted prejudice against cover versions and this is a song associated with a very profound and intense part of my life - it seems like centuries ago - and is therefore 'sacred'. But dammit guys I absolutely love your version!
Couldn't have said it better myself.
This song gets a new dimension when sung by women, and you've made a really nice version of it! I wonder how "See Emily Play" would be as played by you both.
This makes me happy simply for the fact that the young peeps of this spinning planet know how to recognize great music. Floyd is timeless..........this is proof!
anyone had lilian social account?
better u dnt sing anymore...
very nice, bravo! nice to see young people preforming a super classic
whay don't try with starway to heaven from led zeppelin, i see some videos of you, and i think you can. try it please!
I'm not sure if I like this? I'm glad they have done this though, hopefully it will grow on me after a while. It reminds me of what this may sound like if he Cocteau Twins did a cover of this. Still, well done girls for posting, thumbs up from me.
muinto top esse som e mais top a inda as vocalistas
Again beautiful....I am listening to it and started to like,.......Greetings from Newfoundland Labrador, Canada.
I am a serious Floyd fan and this is my favorite song on the planet. You guys sure did this song justice. I especially liked Lillian's voice here. It is unique just like Floyd.
#STRIKINGLYbeautiful! And to qualify my opinion bit more.. Pink Floyd is my lifetime's proverbial "you get only one musical band on your desert island" choice since my teens.. FURTHERMORE.. #ComfortablyNUMB is my favorite song by them too! Well done indeed.
young ladies perservere -- it's your interpretation -- i'll look forward to more and better
simply wonderfull havenly
LOVE IT
Very beautiful
Not bad. I see lots of comments saying theres lack of emotion. I mean yes it does come across as lack of emotion but maybe thats what you were going for? Someone who has become numb to everything, including emotion. When the first girl began singing, I was about to shut the window out but, it her voice had a very erie sound to it, which kept me interested. Idk thats just what I got out of the song. I would love to see a version with more emotion put into it. As a die hard Pink Floyd fan its hard for me to accept covers of such a classic. But you did very very well. Thank you for sharing :)
I have nothing to say about your talent, ability, and passion... they are faultless... however, to my ears it doesn't sound quite right when played on a short scale guitar with humbuckers. It still remains a beautiful cover version of this classic song.
Great! Shine on!
U r great musicians.. Congrats.
The best song ever....
I love "Pink Floyd"! At you very interesting version turned out, very lovely. Thanks!
Good heavens! Goosebumps and moist eyes. Magnificent! So good to see three generations--so far--appreciate quality music enough to perform it with such virtuosity and passion. I think that some of the Floyd, Yes, ELP, Genesis, Moodies, Tull, etc. music will be enjoyed and admired for a couple of centuries, along with dozens of symphonic masterpieces. I can imagine our great-grandchildren listening to Zep's "Thank You" or "Rain Song", for example. Or the Doobs' "Cheat the Hangman" and "For Someone Special". A few Beatles' and S&G songs come to mind, too. I also hope some jazz survives.
guitar so wrong:D
I totally agree with Heather on this one. You DO NOT turn ANY Pink Floyd song into some whinny, dreamy, POP song! BAD rendition all the way around, I'm sorry...
I never thought I'd enjoy a cover of a Floyd song, after all how can you improve on perfection?
I have listened to this song 5 times now and LOVE it.
The girl with glasses got it. It's like her own version. Amazing!
Fantastic,, so, beautiful ,, talent 4 sure!!! kodi
Guys well done!! What an incredibly brave thing to take on! One if the most iconic songs every written. I thought no way this will be a joke but you absolutely proved me wrong... I’ve heard this live 5 times and your version will be in my playlist. Bravo!
it Wasnt bad but the singing was a little slow and was kind of boring but who ever the heck did the solo was igenious so yeha keep trying the overall mix wasnt horrible but there was a tad too much gain in the solo and it drounded out too much of the other stuff but overall it wasnt bad here is a tip though that rlly helps record it on one computer and then record it into a another computer while mixing it because it comes better through the second computer just remember stay off the gain some
very interesting and excellent version of this incredible song....great to listen to. The two girls singing is perfection.......but I was a little disappointed with the 2nd guitar solo - I think if who ever is playing guitar were to perfect the 2nd guitar solo to something more realistic such as this one I found perhaps...Pulse solo .... Dan Willecke - then the whole thing would be perfection...... xxxx
For the last 20 or 30 years I've been a fan of Pink Floyd. I got all there albums and listen to them all the time. I hate to say it and it will probably piss a lot of Floyd fans off but I think this version of NUMB is up there and dare I say it, equal with Dave. Sorry if you don't agree, But I don't care.
Much as I respect what you are trying to achieve, too much of a divergence (in the wrong way) from the original. There is only so much licence you can take with a song. I really do not mean to be rude, at all, total respect for your musicality. It just strikes me that this rendition moves away from the beauty of the original.
since i have heard this cover of pink floyd comfortably numb i cant stop listerning to it i am driving every one mad i must play itat less 20 times a day i just love it and love you all its a great cover the best i have ever heard your voices are like angles and the Guitar work by stefan is secound to none i am now one of your greats fans just loved it
ok. not bad. if you want to take it too the next level ...(everyone has go through 1st level and then next when tributing...) more rounder soothing tones when beginning and ending phrases...milk the dynamics of word inflection as david gilmore is a genius at this...think of it as Microdynamics!
Some Pink Floyd purists will naturally give a ''thumbs down'' to ANY cover of their tunes. But in my opinion, this was well done. Janna, you have a beautiful voice and ''stage'' appearance too. Don't change a thing! And whoever that is on guitar, WOW, nice work dude! I'm impressed... Keep going!
Cruising music videos and crashed here. The melody and words were hauntingly familiar, but . . . . My brain exploded! This was a girl cover of Pink Floyd! Before this I would have said it would be impossible for girls to cover Comfortably Numb and put their stamp on it. And Stefan, you own that guitar!
brought me to tears ... very sweet Ladies ... very nice Solo young man ... very nice ... Bloody beautiful in every way ...
I... Oh god, there's nothing like this, it was so great. We often can read the term ''eargasm'' for smthg good but not amazing, so this word makes me angry, but here: damn, I had an eargasm. (sorry for the mistakes, if I made mistakes- I'm French).
I usually do not like Pink Floyd "covers"...especially the greatest song ever, Comfortably Numb..Most are totally hacked up....But you two young ladies did a fantastic job of performing this song...I have listened to it many times....Thank-you very much.
Very good. Definitely in my play list. Beautiful voices.
I've never heard a cover that nearly surpasses the original until I found this video. Your voices compliment this song perfectly. Absolutely incredible cover!!
One difficulty with any cover of a song from "The Wall" is that the album constitutes a hermetic whole. You cannot easily extract one song and make it your own apart from the others. Again, no disrespect.
This is a great video and the girl's do an admirable job of singing. The guitar is done very well too. Having said that, the word is "com-for-ta-bly" numb, not whatever the word is she tries to pronounce.
Nicely done ! Love to see thish great music preformed so well! Thank you ......so much....
awesome lilian
That was good!
Superb performance, David Gilmour would be most impressed I am sure.Playing it again! And again.....
The mark of a true artist(s). Humble and understanding. All credit to you girls. Would love to hear more, and if you would allow me, to offer my opinion.
Great talent. Much respect.
Maybe she got too much inspiration on that pronouncation by van Morrisons Version in the 1989 recording he did with Roger Waters ... "The wall live in Berlin". It sounds quite similar.
A very good version . Love it. Beautiful voices . The other songs y'all have done are very well done.
The best cover on you tube. Warm voices and amazing air guitar play. What about "The great gig in the sky" ? Curious to hear the guitar cover of the "On the turning away".
Uncle Frank's right - apart from the guitar this is very pedestrian! ..............
I like it too, its a great cover...BUT you need to go listen to some David Gilmour. Stefan does very well...but I am afraid he is a FAR cry from David Gilmour.
Please, so please...I need to ear to first woman, she is amazing, she has an angelical voice, AMAZING, REALLY, thanks so much...she sings more songs? please, answer me.
From Argentina.
Wonderful cover of a wonderful song
Great job
And great les paul although the original song is a Fender Strat
Excellent!!.....and the video is great as well. Congrats guys.
Good job all around..no offense to the ladies but your guitarist really smokes this one. Damned good job all around from a Pink Floyd fan..............
what a cover! Actually if this wasn't a Pink Floyd song you'd have a huge hit.Would have been good if you'd used a Stratocaster instead of the Gibson.
The first singer does a better job, the second singer should have given it more punch, it got boring, but I really liked what the first singer did.
brilliant
Very interesting version. You all did a wonderful job. I'm liking this allot.I have watched all your videos. They are very well made.I'm impressed. Any chance we could see more of you doing more Pink Floyd stuff ?
Thanks
You have a strange way to say "Although the majority of listeners considers this an excellent recording, IN MY OPIONION this is no good cover."
If you see my "critique" below, please do not take offence. I truly recognise you obvious musical talent. My point is quite separate from that.
Holy crap, is this a bedtime song. Why are they not putting in any intensity to the song. Way off. Why would you butcher a pink floyd classic?
Yeah, the vocals are pretty dull unfortunately, but the second solo was excellent. The vocals during the solo were a nice touch too
TOP !
this song is meant to have a soothing, lower mans voice. nice creativity but doesnt really fit
The backing is from a site hosting Floyd-backings that does not longer exist.
There are, however, several more of them on the net :)
Congratulation for this version of comfortably numb. Your voices are envoutantes, and the well worked solo of guitar, still bravo!
At 9 seconds in...I was completely OUT.
Sorry... but this is a song designed for a man to sing.
Truly one of the greatest hits of all times. You two girls did your own twist on It, and it worked. Not the best vocals I have heard. But it was your own. I enjoyed it very much and have added it to my play list. Would be interested in hear you do some other greats by pink Floyd. Maybe "Time or "Wish You Were Here". Or maybe you could do "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Z.? Just a thought. You got my two thumbs up!
Wunderbar. Wirklich bewegend. Vielen Dank
Hearing a girl singing Gilmour's part, that's great! Always thought it was more powerful with a female voice! Well done anyway!
yep
