As someone who also has OCD, it's so hurtful when people make fun of weird OCD behaviors and habits. It's a source of pain for us, and it only increases that pain when we're told how strange, dumb and crazy we are
My brother has OCD and it has been incredibly debilitating for him most of his life. As his sister, I can sometimes poke fun at some of his OCD quirks (and he pokes fun at my ADHD quirks), but mocking someone or degrading them for something that is beyond their control is so not okay. OCD is also a super misunderstood disorder because people think it just means being a neat freak and so they casually throw it around like it isn't a serious mental disorder that causes a lot of frustration to the people who live with it. When my brother was a little boy, he had to press EVERY single button he would find if we went into a store that had buttons (esp hardware stores). I thought he was just an eccentric kid at the time, but we realized it was an OCD compulsion for him. Understanding people with OCD is so important. I'm sad that Alex chose to demonize and degrade the condition on his platform when he's clearly ignorant about it.
I wish at this point people would stop trivializing and making fun of OCD. It's a garbage illness that makes life hell sometimes.

@Daisy Shayne late response lol but basically Howie Mandel (a comedian w ocd) has been having a rough time during covid due to the fact that his ocd manifests in extreme germophobia. He’s had to move to a sperate house from his wife and kids and seems to be coping through his misery by trying to be funny and stay positive (cuz he’s, ya know, a comedian) usually by making tiktok. Some of them come off a cringy, but it’s clearly just a guy struggling to get through his days trying to have fun. Alex made a video basically not just making fun of him being cringy (which would have been fine tbh), but literally making fun of his severe ocd. He said shit like “his weird ocd thing” and “he’s completely lost his mind” and “he’s officially crazy”, which are superrr ducked up things to say to someone clearly dealing w an anxiety disorder. Hope this helps :)
I totally agree I have OCD as well and it really hurts when people see it as we’re being crazy or overreacting this isn’t something that somebody would just choose to live with and I really wish the stigma around OCD would just go away

Its irritating because I know that I would probably like their content because I'm a fan of each of their channels but given Alex's current track record I can't bring myself to actually click or watch them which sucks for the rest of them because they're automatically associated with him in my mind now. There's only so much you can stay silent about and bury under the rug.

Question (random): does anyone else feel like commentary channels are seemingly obsessed w dunking on typically harmless teen trends, of which girls’ interests are usually the target? And then also their obsession w calling out female youtubers? Not to say that their problematic content shouldn’t be called out, but c’mon. People were upset that she want taking individual responsibility for her actions. Now I haven’t seen attacks on her age and in no way shape or form saying that they weren’t there. Katie Hope, people tend to attack teen girl trends because it’s popular and they know it will either get views or people will listen to them. I can’t honestly think of a popular boy trend that has a mass following. If females creators did something wrong call them out. Their gender has nothing to do with their actions.

I used to genuinely love Alex. I watched him, Slazo, and all the other British commentary channels. But since Alex showed his true colors, I can’t look at him (or really any of them) the same. I can’t even watch the others, either, after the injustices they served to iNabber. It’s just disappointing.

I was emotionally manipulative and jealous because I was so insecure and he was emotionally distant and reckless. I've worked hard to stop being emotionally manipulative even in jokes and things that don't really matter and he's a sensitive and thoughtful guy now.

i never cared bout alex til the day he crossed his longtime friend ( they even shared a flat) inabber. I'm kinda surprised that uncle didn't mention this sh*tty move that alex and his other friends did to poor guy. He was (it's confirmed on tw) the founder of an idea of them collabing and having commentary channel, but later he was abruptly scrapped from the crew, probably of his least from the crew members amount of subscribers...
he’s the type of guy who would befriend you immediately or ruin your whole ass reputation if you say a joke about him or maybe even criticism. I don’t know what happens behind the cameras with his friends and all but he seems so defensive. I had a friend like that once, if I share any criticism about her or even a simple joke aimed towards her, she would get angry with me and act so defensively. He probably used his fame as some sort of revenge and I’m very glad this guy is getting cancelled.

Then I found out about the Slazo situation and immediately unsubscribed from him. His humor and the content of his videos has really gone down hill.

As for the slazo part: I do think he’s valid in his want to not want to be friends with slazo if his actions made him uncomfortable. But I do think people with platforms should be careful about what they say, and realize how they’re words can influence others.
Can we please keep in mind that what alex and slazo were referring to was from when slazo was 16? I know that slazo is only 20 now, but like what?? I'm not saying all 16 year olds are little shits, but he was a MINOR at that point and is now an adult. I've definitely done dumb crap when i was a teen. Slazo seems like he is truly sorry for what he did AS A TEENAGER and hasn't been in controversy since. @@noahn9717 Summarizing, iNabber was the one with the idea of a group channel, he was constantly pushing for it to happen, and then they just cast him out, stole his idea and made the channel without him... I think Kavos did a video about it.
@@camiloheraso inabber confirmed that they talked about it and he agreed. Frankly he didn't really mesh with that group either and he admitted his work ethic wasn't great at the time. I don't think the whole thing wasn't shady but I also don't think it's as shady as everyone says, either. The other shit he did is tho damn

The one case that Alex was involved in but continually gets away with is how he utterly destroyed one of his early internet friends, Zaptie. He did so much damage with his accusations against Zaptie on Zaptie's own shared podcast that he ran the guy completely off the internet. The internet's response was so bad there was no window of opportunity for Zaptie to clear his name until Turkey Tom and Nick Deorio took the time to debunk the whole thing and turn public opinion several years later.

Remember he was the one who stalked Lady Gaga for a pretty significant period after the end of their friendship and tore her down viciously because he was trying to be buddy-buddy with Madonna to the point where he had sent Gaga a Photoshopped image of her in a wheelchair with a gun to her head and blood all over her. So I wouldn't put it past Perez to be predatory towards Charli D'Amelio (sorry if it's incorrect in spelling) since that's his past.

My issues with Alex really started when the James Charles drama happened and Alex went on a homophobic rant for 20 minutes basically implying that "it's disgusting that gay men hit on men they are attracted too and he would feel sick if a gay man hit on him"
