Godzilla VS. Hero Zero was one of my most favorite comics when I was a kid! I still have my old issue to this day! Hopefully someday when I get into my career of becoming an actor/filmmaker, I would LOVE to make a film based on Hero Zero. I mean, sure he may be a mix between Iron Man & Ultraman...but he just has some great potential!
Me too, I had it in those small Omnibus collections Dark horse did back then, I didn't even know who were hero zero was but the concept was cool, and eventually I read some of the dark horse heroes books and got to know a bit more about that character. Pretty good for a dark horse superheroes, he was no ghost or x but just under that I'd say.

In "A Nightmare on Elm Street," Nancy is watching "Evil Dead" on television, meaning in Freddy (and Jason's shared) universe, Ash is a fictional character. But no, everybody just wants to do stuff cause it's cool. Storytelling matters. Apparently, no adults were minding the candystore at Dark Horse.

Seeing you review this brought back so many memories and I would love for you to do the rest of them. I forgot the specific names for the issues but I know in the collection he fought monsters such as Geckido Jin, Bagorah, Cybersaurus, and there was even one where Goji was back in the Prehistoric Era and he had to fight an alien monster simply called "The Invader" I believe that's what it was called. They even bring in a fresh take on the original King of the Monsters story of Godzilla first appearing and even have other monsters like a giant bird and locust appear as if it was some prophecy. These all including the Hero Zero issue that was in the collection hold a special place in my heart and I hope you find the time to review them as well.

I have read a pretty good fanfic where Shinji becomes zone fighter . Though the tittle escaped me .

I really quite like the sense of consequence this comic has. I mean, when in a Godzilla film have we seen a character who another character cares about be killed during an attack? I don’t mean in the backstory, but like in the actual film, and a character we’ve actually been following and come to care about during the film, not a random background person. The only example I can think of is Joe Brody in Godzilla 2014, but in that case he should’ve been kept alive. Plus the fight was good. The Dark Horse comics were quite great.

Hey MIB, fire content as always! I was watching your video game videos, and I watched your video on Godzilla: Battle Legends. If you hated that games story mode, I would recommend checking out "Godzilla: Kaijuu Daikessen", this games sequel. It was a Japan-release only, and compared to this game, it's leagues better (in most aspects). You get higher-quality art work for both the monsters and stages, each monster has SO MANY more moves, the has so much more depth and strategy to it now, and each kaiju is as accurately represented as they could be. Hell, I would even say this game has the most accurate video game adaptation of Showa Era Mechagodzilla! However, the price to pay for these amazing upgrades is a bit staggering at first: the roster is essentially cut in half, to 9 kaiju + 2 unlockable bosses, and the sound quality is a bit lower than Battle Legends due to it going on the SNES. But honestly, the cost is fair enough, as Godzilla Kaijuu Daikessen is not only my favorite 2D Fighter, but it's slowly starting to become my favorite Godzilla game ever. I read that Mask World Tour comic years ago and wondered who or what Hero Zero was. I thought he was a gag character that was from The Mask's comic book universe.

I’ve got a copy of the first issue of the Marvel Godzilla series in storage somewhere, I really need to track it down. Also it’s kinda weird to have Godzilla posters up in a universe where it is established Godzilla exists and more than likely has ravaged Japan/the Pacific islands and probably has a skyrocketing body count in his wake. Seems like it’d be like having a poster of the nuking of Nagasaki or a Nanking prison camp.
