- History seems to always be telling us that the Model T was truly the first real production car. While it may have been the most accessible to the everyday person the first production car was actually a Mercedes and it came much earlier then you might think...

I didn’t even know people thought the model T was the first car until recently
Yeah. My teachers told me it was and I looked it up and I didn’t find anything about Benz till now
@@chemeofficial sad that that many people actually think the model t was the first car

He didnt create the assembly line
It was invented by ransom E.Olds
@@bingusclub69funni yep he got the idea from meat packer plants
@@sinceninetyeightysixgustof8122 Oldsmobile used the assembly line before Ford but Ford perfected the assembly line
..history never lied to me. Who said the model T was the first car?
nobody has ever said the model T was the first car.
For real dude lol I never heard that, not really. I think most people are aware Ford built the company but was technically in competition with many individuals who wanted to be first!
Speak to my second grade teacher
@@officialxitlali damn American education is piss poor isn't it 😂
The Model T was the first American production vehicle
That’s all they’ve ever said…
Mass produced**
That’s not even true lol
@@jackarmstrong7285it is
The Curved Dash Oldsmobile use a production line well before the model T.
I can’t recall anyone who said the model T was the first car through school. I clearly remember them saying how it was the revolutionary production process and cheaper price which made it famous.
Glad your school taught you right! Very few think it was the "first car" ever made, but I have heard a lot say it was the "first production car"
First car was neither Ford T nor Benz, it was Cugnot steam car in 1769, shame on you@@captaincrankshaft
Bro this was on my final exams
I actually needed this yesterday
I didn't know there are people claiming the Ford T was the first model
americans☕
@@fcredness11 As an American I have literally never heard this.
@@AstralPulse8yeah I heard more like he was the first to made the assembly like and mass producing something which is fire
Model T was the first affordable car. Mercedes invented cars.
Ya but the Americans took all credit for developing cars.
@@ABanRocks No?
@@ABanRocks I don't think i have ever seen an American claim America invented cars. my saying, the car was invented in Germany, refined in the USA, given it's style, in Britain.
I think the reason people say that is it was the first car to go public most cars include the Mercedes was too expensive the model t was one of the first cars that was commercial that everyone could the Mercedes was mainly owned by companies for a long time I think it is the first car not by production standards but by public standards because it was the first car almost anybody could get a hold of
Model T was the first Mass PRODUCED car!!
Ford Model T is not the first ever car, but it is the first ever mass produced car.
I think most people knew this was the first car ever made
People need to seriously research their automotive history. The Ford Model T was introduced roughly twenty years into the automotive industry. America alone had almost 1,500 separate auto manufacturers.
New York City used electric automobiles for it’s taxis at the turn of the century. The Model T wasn’t even the first mass produced car. The Oldsmobile Curved Dash and De Dion Bouton were among the first to see production in the thousands.
The ford model t was the first car to be made on an accembily line
Nobody ever said the Model T was the first car, it was the first mass produced car.
I was taught this in school. There were many automobiles produced in the U.S. before the model T, including some from Ford. These cars, however, were produced for people who had the income to afford high-priced cars. Cars were basically hand built at this stage, and labor was a huge factor in price. The manufacturers also relied on outside sources for parts, not making them in-house. Ford approached the new Model T as a simply made car for everyone. One that could be repaired easily by the owner. The chassis of the Ts could be easily converted for many uses. They could be used to power everything from farm equipment to washing machines.
American car manufacturers at the dawn of the automotive introduced them the same way electric vehicles are produced today. Sell the most expensive and high-priced in the beginning, building up capital, and then develop lower priced vehicles after. It worked for Tesla, and other start-ups are following the same approach. Lucid, Rivian and others.
That look sick I would drive that
History didn’t lie I read a book in like fourth grade about The history of Mercedes’ Benz anxx so it says it in there 😂
Actually the car has one third of a horsepower😅
The actual first car is the 1700s cugnot steam wagon
History is a concept an idea. It doesn't have it's own consciousness , or power of deliberation. History hasn't lied , the people who perpetuate history may have lied but not history itself.
Dude everyone knows this
Man cool
*insert iPhone ringtone meme*
First car was invented in 1885 by Mercedes tf you talking about 😂🗿🗿☕️☕️
Who thought the model t was the first production car? I've never heard anyone say that. It wasn't even Henry ford's first production car. And Oldsmobile invented the production line. I think u were the only person to think that about the T
No way. The model T was the first American car. Chrysler?
That is a tricicle
Bro, this wasn’t even the first automobile ever built it was in 1769 the cugnut steamer was built by Joseph Nicolas cognut it was the true first automobile
Instead of Mercedes, Back then was Benz.
I knew it cuz I made a project on the evolution of cars at shcool

Dude i already fucking know this. Who the hell thought the model t was the first car?
Benz was a tuk tuk . LoL 🤣😆🤪
Model T was the first car ever said nobody.
The model T wasn't the first production car but it was the first production car made by assembly line
I thought the first car was a crystler
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Sheesh a whopping 1.5 horses
The Model T was the first mass production car.
Cars in low budget be ilke:
I knew that
who the hell thinks the model was the first
How is it so cheap if its 100 years old
The Model T was the first MASS PRODUCED vehicle. Henry Ford invented the assembly line. He was then capable of building cars faster than anyone else at the time.
It’s peageot
I don't think they ever claimed the model T was the first car to be named it was the first mass produced cause Ford made them cheap so the average person can afford a car
Is there anybody in the world who thinks Ford was the first car? Is this some kind of joke?
By the way, the first automobile built was the french 1770 Cugnot fardier à vapeur with steam engine.
I knew it
Who gives a shit, give America credit thank you Mr. Henry Ford....
But the ford T wast the first mass produced care fore the masses right? Like everyone back then could afford one. Correct me if I’m wrong 😊
Lmao. American and Germany are two diff countries. Before you speak know what you are talking about. And karl sold his company few yrs after to his best friend when Karl's daughter Mercedes was born. That's where name came from. When his friend had money and funded the entire factory and production. He sold name to him if he used Mercedes as the main name and he kept Benz for the purpose of friendship.
It got discountinued so it doesn't really count they broke down easily
That my grandpas car
Some facts about the car is that the person who made it rode a bicycle and he wanted to combine a bicycle and a horse carriage but without a horse
Yea they was serving out model Ts like new papers..seems like that Benz was only meant for elites
The wording has a fine line. The model T was the worlds first mass production car, take note the word mass. around 25 benz motor wagons were produced. the Benz Velo was indeed the first production car, with 201 produced. However such a small number does not make is a mass production car. around 15 million model T's where produced making it the first mass production car. it was not until the 1970s that a car out sold the model T and the car that did was the WV beetle.
I don't ever remember history ever saying the model t was the first production car that's some weird clickbaiting my guy
Americans🤦🏼♂️
first massed produced car is by ford
90's : nice car
My generation: wHaT thE heAlllllllllll oH mY gOd nO wAyaaaaahhHh😂😂
Is not the first car
Electric cars were first
We have all known this since 2016
No shit
whi said the model t was the first car
Who the fuck said that the model t was the first production car lol. It was the first affordable enough for an average wage worker to ever think to buy
Correct, I would more say it was the first mass produced vehicle but not the first in production.
Why do people keep saying this it's bullshit they say that people think ford was first but literally every person I have asked was never taught that at all just that ford made the assembly line. Benz always has been the first
I don't agree with you
He, like many today, lie when they say we've all been lied to.
History lied in way worse ways than that lil bro
