@@philipwatson8110 Yes bro. As financial and administrative sides are necessary for the establishment of a venture, we can say Charles Rolls is one of the founders of the brand. But, the name of Henry Royce is not mentioned in the video.
Thank you! This is such a fascinating subject for me, that I even have a web site catering for car manufacturer names and history. (At the moment I am having to rebuild the site, but I am happy to cooperate with info etc. if anyone wants). For starters: I believe (happy to be corrected) Alfa was actually founded by Ugo Stella or similar. He bought Darracq's Italian facilities and licences. Darracq was French and networked with Opel, Talbot & Sunbeam, but an Italien facility should produce pure Italian cars. That was the vision and start of ALFA. But despite the excellent network, to then turn pure Italian was probably a contradiction and such wasn't financially viable. What the abbreviation ALFA stands for is absolutely correct. But it was Alfa and the logo showed Alfa Milano. Only later Nicolas Romeo bought himself into the company and also changed the name and logo to Alfa Romeo. Next there are a lot of names missing, but I quickly figured the system you show it only allows for 1 name per company? The video's way is far better to keep track for new fans, but sometimes it simply leaves gaps. I.e. Rolls Royce was not only founded by Charles Rolls, but by Henry Royce as an equal partner too, of course. Same with Renault, it was not only Louis Renault. He formed Renault with his Brother Marcel Renault. It was the French that formed motorsport to marked cars as "nothing to be scared of". Apparently especially Peugeot started motorsport because they already did bicycles and raced them. But then Marcel Renault died in a motosport incident and Louis carried on alone. At about the same time Panhard co-founder Emile Levassor also had a fatal motorsport crash. So this was when French Peugeot and Panhard started to invent motorsport regulations, the start of the FISA or FIA. And indeed also the reason why many motorsport names are French as i.e. parc fermé and the often seen spelling of Rallye with an "e" at the end. Most intriguing nowadays maybe is that the first motorsport events compared steam, electric and petrol. Petrol was the newest development and won over steam and electric. At the same time Karl Benz's "Patent Car", the Patent was not at all about automobiles, it was about the combination of auto and petrol. Today with EVs Mercedes is cheating their own history! Not enough with that, Benz did not want Gottlieb Daimler to sell his engines to France and here to Panhard and Peugeot. So Daimler sold his licences to William Lions of Jaguar! This then clears up why in UK is/was a company called Daimler. It is indeed Jaguar who has the rights to the Daimler name and not Mercedes at all thanks to an argument between stubborn Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler! Trying to keep it short (you are welcome to ask and discuss, there are so many variables....) I do LOVE the subject of WHERE DO NAMES COME FROM: André Citroen, Armand Peugeot, Henry Ford, it nearly starts getting boring that company names are as simple as founder's surnames. But August Horch is an interesting one. First of all he started the luxury car brand Horch. That went bankrupt and was sold. Then he restarted but now there already was a car brand named "Horch". He had no rights to his own name any more and Audi simply is Latin for Horch. Even more curious today is that Audi uses the wrong brand logo: The 4 rings are for the 4 brands that made Auto Union: DKW, Wanderer, Audi and eventually Horch again! NSU only came later. But 4 rings for 4 brands? Audi's REAL logo is actually an oval with the letters, very similar to Ford, only in Burgundy rather than Blue! With Skoda, it was not only Vaclav Laurin but also Vaclav Klement. The name Skoda curiously came after a take over from Skoda Pilsn, which to the day is an independent company making busses and trains. This makes it quite ironic that after VW takeover Skoda kept its Skoda name instead of returning to L&K. Skoda really has got nothing to do with original Skoda, which still exists as a maker of electric busses! Opel is another interesting one when talking how history and "equal rights" changed. Adam Opel handed over the company to his sons even before they turned from sewing machines to cars. Interesting is that Adam Opel had a daughter Irmgard, and simply because she had the wrong sex Irmgard received no shares in the company. In protest Irmgard then started her own business and went into crisps and biscuits together with her two sons. Anyone knows the crisps, biscuits, cookies company CHIO? Sure everyone has heard of Chio Chips? But did you ever know what this stands for? That the O in Chio is Opel? Carl, Heinrich, Irmgard Opel is CHIO! For finals, my favourite brand name in the meaning (by not just being a surname) is Datsun, today one of the most boring car brands, sadly! Again it was more than one founder. Datsun was founded by not only Rokuro Ayoma, but it was 3 of them, Kenjiro Den and Meitaro Takeuchi too! The initials of Den, Ayoma & Takeuchi made the DAT! The Sun is to make a clear link to Japan, after the Sun as the Japanese flag! Hope you enjoyed. There is a lot more, feel free to ask or discuss.

@HeavenHell89 bro why are obsessed with japan
That's very nice and excellent, also you need to add Horacio Pagani from Italia, he's the founder of Pagani
He's from Argentina but is of Italian descent like most Argentinians in the Rio De La Plata
Argentino brooo
Ok boys, thank you 🙂
Ettori Bugatti as well he is from Italy but later moved to France where he started his company
@@randomcub922 Ettore bruh
What program do you use to make these videos?
I would argue that Henry Royce was just as important, if not more, as Charles Rolls in the foundation of Rolls-Royce.
Adam Opel is the founder of Opel Company, that's true but Opel started building cars 4 years after he died.
Adam Opel died 1895, Opel started building cars in 1899.
Opel Company was founded as a company for sewing machines.
His Wife Sophie and his children converted Opel into an automobil company
Edit: Adam Opel bought months before he died a car; It was a Benz Phaeton with 4HP.
Benz aka Mercedes-Benz

Very fascinating. Would love to have seen the year the company's were founded.
Henry Ford becoming famous not about building the cars, because he didn't, he became famous because of "mass productions" #HistoricalFacts!
Next : Pop-Folk Singers From Different Countries.
The first car I owned was in 1998, and it was a Ford Marquis
After that I changed cars
But there is nothing like Ford cars because I am from 2010 and because I do not have a lot of money, I only buy Ford cars from the used market. All you have to do is keep the radiator water and engine oil
Now I own a 2008 Ford Explorer, but unfortunately there are not many spare parts in my country, Salalah, Oman, for American cars
I was surprised when I saw that Esemka was on the list. I just rarely see that car here in Indonesia.
You have one mistake, Škoda from Mladá Boleslav has been developt by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, but Škoda from Pilsen has been developt by Milan Škoda
That was Emil Škoda!!! Milan Škoda is a football player.

Ive noticed that in the Czech hockey league, they have the Skoda logo on their ice rinks.. Kinda weird
How could you forget Gottlieb Daimler. He was even more important than Karl Benz for the contemporary Company Daimler AG which produces mercedeses. What about Ettore Bugatti?
You missed from Spain, Seat (Spanish Society of Automobiles and Tourism).

@@ruteando5365 También, pero Seat es más conocida.
Creo seat fue fundado por el instituto nacional de la industria con fiat, es decir no la fundo una persona como tal
Brazil 🇧🇷 had national car brands, such as Gurgel, founded by João Augusto Amaral Gurgel, born in France in 1926, but came to Brazil 🇧🇷 and died here, in the city of São Paulo. A pity that the Brazilian government does not give importance to national car brands.
Well, I dont know what have you meant by all this, but at least for Ferdinand Porsche, he was a CZECH, not GERMAN, but ofcourse, thanks to the history being in favor of Germany, he had moved there and thus we lost Porsche forever :/ . At least we have still his house.
Choosing to invest in Btcoin is the best
decision anyone can make with the
right approach. it works.
Well... I will advice everyone should
stop trading on their own, to avoid
loosing and start trading with the a professional broker Services.
Yes...its totally true, you should contct
a professional broker like Mrs Stacy Griffin
she is the best broker. I was
sceptical about her at first but after I
got paid, I always invest over and over
again because she understands the
trading market very well
Many people are afraid to invest
because of the scammers in the
business
Farley Yes they are scammers in the business just like it's in every other business but they are also legit brokers out there too
Mrs Stacy Griffin is sincere. trustworthy
and legit. she's a professional broker
and account manager who is good at
what she does.

Sakichi Toyoda had no idea what a massive empire of reliable motor vehicles he was creating.
Definitely back when Toyoda was the maker of sewing machine in the 20's and joined Japanese National Automotive Club as a hobby. Toyoda got a war contract for staff cars and armored cars for the Chinese campaign and the rest was history.
