yes same here! we always save all of our veggie scraps for homemade broth as well, i just keep a big ziplock bag in the freezer and toss things in till it’s full!
Aldi is my #1 place to shop. Took my husband about 6/7 months ago for the first time and his mind was blown. He couldn't believe the savings. My #1 item is chicken. It's NEVER slimy and you can't beat the price anywhere that I've seen. There are so many Aldi branded items that we love more than the name brand. You can go to my car at any time and there is always a quarter in the door handle, gotta always have that "Aldi quarter". Of course, I have to replace it a lot because my daughter loves to "pay it forward" and give our cart to someone so they don't have to use their quarter ❤
I used to shop at Aldi when my kids were still at home. I haven’t been there in years. I had no idea they were selling all that organic stuff. I will definitely be back! You got a crazy deal that was a lot of. I’m looking forward to shopping at Aldi again. Thank you for the info Kristen!
Hi, my husband and I have shopped there for YEARS! It is easy to shop. is clean and fresh produce is always beautiful. No coupons, self-bagging, and smaller selection of items all add to lower costs, I'm sure. We love the crab cakes, shrimp, filets wrapped in bacon, egg rolls, chicken salad with cranberries. LOVE,LOVE Aldi !
I would be lost without our Aldi store. Besides having great prices they have great Quality items. There is so many things that they carry for holidays and seasonal plants. As an older person it is a blessing to find most of the things i need in one place. the employees are always very nice and helpful also.
You are so blessed to have an Aldi store close by. We don't have any in the state of WA. I'm praying that they will bring one soon to Eastern WA. I did email the company to request a store where I live. The other day I went to Trader Joe's and I spent $81 on 2 bags of groceries. You got a lot of great things.
Weekly Aldi shopper here. Bring your own bags. I use canvas tote bags, that I bought secondhand and that last for years because of their durability. I keep several in my car and they can carry anything. I agree: I chop onions that are getting close to their end and freeze in a zip-lock bag for soups, casseroles, etc. The best aspect about Aldi for me, other than the lower prices, is their small footprint. I know where everything is in their store and I can shop, pay, be in and out in very little time, as opposed to huge supermarkets where I wander, looking at 2 dozen options of one item. I only buy the Aldi store brand. But even Aldi's prices have gone up.
@@kimgordon3695 I have no problem with it. It’s all I use now. If I have a red-sticker item that requires a checkout person, they always come quickly to the bell for help and cheerfully adjust the price.
Hi Kristen, what a great feeling to have your kitchen cupboards and fridge stocked with healthy food. You are an amazing shopper. Loved seeing your grocery haul this week! Happy birthday Hoffman girls 🩷🩷🩷 enjoy your party.
I have an Aldi down the street and in have never gone, here in the south most everyone goes to Publix a huge food chain. I may now have to check them out. Thanks for sharing and giving me a new place to shop. Have a blessed week❤🙏🏻
Girl get yourself to Aldi. I was a Publix shopper for years but started going to Aldi on occasion. About 6/7 months ago we decided to switch to shopping almost exclusively at Aldi and have cut our grocery bill in half (if not more). So many items we prefer the Aldi brand to name brand. My #1 item is chicken. The chicken is never slimy and you can get a big family pack for about the same or less than a regular size pack of Publix chicken.
@@Lynda_Anne thank you I will, grew up in Lakeland, Florida where Mr. George lived he and my in-laws were great friends. He was such a great man, first hand experience
@@sheilavanduynfote5539 Publix is a great company. I still work there part-time (couple times a month). I’d like to think Mr. George would still be proud of the company he built.
I drive by Aldi every week and have never gone to this new store! Only shopped at Aldi a couple times, as it was across town from me. Now I have one closer, I should take advantage!😊
I started shopping at Aldi in June 2007 when I bought a ton of fruit for my daughter’s High School graduation party. I’ve been shopping there since that day!
For those who do not know, ALDI’s brats are made by Klements Sausage Company. My son in law works there. I am not sure how big brats go over in other states but they are a big summer hit here in Wisconsin.
Hey Kristen! I thought I’d share this with you, I saw in one of your videos you mentioning that you keep getting sick. So ever since I’ve moved into my house four years ago, I have been constantly sick. I did an allergy test a couple of days ago and found out that I am highly allergic to dust mites and our air ducts are filled with so much dust , we now have to get them replaced since they’re in too bad of shape to have cleaned. Apparently it’s more common of an allergy than people think so just throwing it out there! Love your videos!! Can’t wait for the next one 💜💜
That's great that you like RED Peppers. They actually have MORE Vitamin C than an orange and LESS sugar. So yummy with hummus~ Oh and I love dipping veggies or apples in pumpkin dip ( I have no qualms about eating pumpkin year round. I buy the organic canned pumpkin puree. Mix some with pure natural pb, ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, a little sweetener of your choice and a little course sea salt.
From Texas, FRY or bake your taco shells, for sure. I fry ours in organic coconut oil from HEB . Does your cilantro last pretty long? I've been using a tip I saw, make a plastic bag tent over it and secure with rubber band. ( mini greenhouse)
My family shops almost exclusively at aldi for groceries and we love it too. Love the marinara sauce you purchased (I used to make my own). My daughter's school requests she bring a snack also and for whatever reason I always thought it meant it had to be prepackaged. It took me a while to realize that wasn't a requirement at her school since it wasn't shared so now she mostly takes fruit with a prepackaged snack thrown in every once in a while. Saves us even more plus it's healthier
I also am on a journey of choosing better foods for my family. All the stuff thats been coming to light about our food is apalling! I try to buy the best for the best price all while balancing my budget. Its all about balance! I also LOVED! How you decorate with real food! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good tip on the sweet potatoes which we go through lots and the few potatoes we eat, nice to keep a small bag in. I would like to know where I can purchase them ,I have never seen them. Please! where can I purchase them. You’re so much fun to watch Kristen!
I’m a big Aldi fan! My husband is too and will only shop there! I’m a big baker, especially during the holidays! I especially love to shop there during the holidays because they have many “specialty” items that are only sold at that time of the year.
My husband used to be a district manager for Aldi, and he said that most of the Aldi brand stuff is the exact same as the name brand. Like, if you buy Aldi frosted flakes, the same cereal goes in the name.brand boxes at the factory, then they switch over to the Aldi boxes. Their ketchup is just Hunt's, their cheese crackers are Cheez Nips, etc.
Supposedly, that goes for all stores. My brother in law worked food services in Canada for YEARS. Much like many of the the "luxury" items are made in the same factories as the counterfeit/fake products. Also, Huggies makes the Kirkland brand diapers...same factory.
I have a friend that works for Kellogg in the plant making granola bars, cereal bars and those type of items. They also package a couple other store brands. They do change recipes for items under the other brands. The store brands just contract with Kellogg to manufacture.
This is the first Aldi haul that has made me want to shop at Aldi. Way to go! Also my son just heard you say applesauce and he came over to ask for some 😂
HAPPY SUNDAY Kristen, family, and fur baby. Thanks for the grocery haul and your reasons you buy what you buy. I like Aldi too. I love your outfit. STTB
I love your kitchen esthetic I want to get my family on a more minimalist and healthy lifestyle I have been wanting to for a while but have been holding off on the transition because my kids are used to the junk food but I want to change that while two of them are still young we make a decent living but we can do better thank you for this inspiration!
People are so brand loyal instead of focusing on ingredient list. We love Aldi. We save so much money there and they have a ton of organic and clean ingredient products. We do weekly shopping at Aldi and Costco once a month $100 to get some of the other organic products that’s cheaper than Aldi.
We love Aldis, too. Many of the items you got today, we get. There's a really good pineapple salsa that is really good. It's a shorter jar than you had with a yellow lid.
I love Aldi !! I get my meat at a couple other places like Sam’s Club and a local butcher but I do like several meats that Aldi has as well!! It’s a smaller store so I spend less time wandering around and looking and they have everything we need!!!
When I have onions going bad I chop them up and put them in a freezer bag and freeze them. When I make dishes like soup or chili they are perfect to add to recipe. Great grocery haul video! Love Aldi!
LOVE Aldi....shop there every week and only go to the other stores to get what Aldi doesnt have. Produce is great and prices the best and lovely staff... we know some by name. My guilty pleasure is their garlic stuffed olives!
I love ALDIs. Their cheese selection is great too. I always grate it myself if possible but they have some grass fed cheese options too. The unsweetened applesauce is honestly sweet enough for me. I also love blending the strawberries with the Greek yogurt to have natural strawberry flavored yogurt. I’ve always thought of fruit as nature’s candy. I think it’s great you use it as snacks rather than all the processed junk I had growing up. Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious & we had it in moderation but it’s good to make sure kids like Whole Foods too. It’s mandatory for Pittsburgh Pa region, even though some grocery stores still have plastic bags and just recently they’ve been charging for them. What I do is take a few bags and my Versa Cart, which I use to shop with instead of the store’s cart.
Love Aldis but sadly, closest one is 40 miles away but worth the trip. Thanks Kristen for the helpful tips. I am super impressed that you have taught your family to choose healthy over convenient or flashy. My grands are among the chicken nugget generation. I've tried to keep healthy options for their visits but isn't making much progress.
We have one opening next month and I’m so excited to go. Been watching Aldi hauls to see what to buy but it looks like I can’t go wrong with anything I try.
Hi Kristen, how is it that two of my favorite people put out a video in the same day? 😁 I just saw Amy Fritz’s video. Wow, what a grocery haul from Aldi! We love honey crisp and Granny Smith apples! I’m like your girls.I like cream cheese on a blueberry bagel. These are healthy choices! Enjoyed the video!
I love your videos! I should have known better than to watch this grocery haul…I am no ravenously hungry! Off to Aldi I go! Thank you for your sweet and humble spirit!
Awesome video! I’m such an Aldi fan - it’s so great that we are able to buy a lot for very little money . Please make more videos like this too- thanks for the tip to put honey and vanilla extract in yogurt for parfaits. I can’t wait to try it!!!!!! Have a blessed week! Really enjoy watching your videos!
This was really interesting, I'm from the UK and we shop at Aldi every week. Some of the items are very different to what we can buy and some of the size of products are much bigger at your Aldi. Xx
I save all my produce clippings and a rotisserie chicken carcass or 2 and freeze them in bags. When they’re full, I pour them in a huge pot with water and salt and make my own broth (which I freeze in cube trays, bottles etc in my freezer). So cost efficient and yummy! I love this video by the way! Some great ideas that I’ll be trying when I’m at Aldi’s next 🙏🏻⭐️
LOVE plain organic whole milk Greek yogurt. Your sweet friend Amy Fritz turned me on to adding a little smooth pb and a tsp of baking cacao powder with just a drizzle of pure maple syrup. SO GOOD! Taste like chocolate pudding! * for "healthy ice cream, try whipping up pure havy cream with frozen berries.
In the beginning, you mentioned they have no brand names, but the locations I've shopped at in Omaha/Bellevue have items that are brand names. I wonder if it varies based on location? They have great prices & the aisle with homegoods, kitchen gadgets, etc, never disappoints! And we almost always splurge & get some of the German candy!!!
Hey Kristen! At our Aldi I find the fruit goes bad really quickly. They have beautiful meat and I do love to look at their decor section! You got a lot of food! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
Cut up/dice up the onions, seal wwell, and freeze. Good for soups or mix with hamburger for sauces, meatloaf, etc. When lemon and limes start aging out, squeeze the juice out of the fruits and freeze it.
I live in Ontario Canada, our grocery bill for my family of 6 is $200 to $300 everytime I do the groceries. It's terrible ☹ I love how you store all your produce though!! I'm going to have to try to find a place to hang my potatoes and onions! I love watching you every week, you have such a beautiful family and home❤
We have an Aldi just a mile away, my husband rides his bike there and picks up whatever we need. It is ike a neighborhood store with good prices and produce.
I just recently discovered Aldi's and I love it for fresh produce, sauces, and cheeses. I love these videos and suggestions of other items that I might not have ever tried. Tfs!❤
By keeping your fruits & veggies on the counters & such, do you get those little gnats or fruit flies? Also, don't throw your wilted herbs away. Blend them together with your onions & other herbs to make a green seasoning. It can be used on veggies, meats. I make up a batch, put it in ice trays & then into freezer bags.
I LOVE going to Aldi, yes best way to save money. Try growing cilantro, it’s so easy and at the end of season it will reseed itself. Actually sow it like once a month since it goes to seed pretty quickly. Sow some basil too, it’s great on homemade pizza.
Or your own shopping bags. If I only need a few items and I'm doing self check out, I gladly purchase the bags. Love them because they are heavy duty brown paper, very sturdy with handles, and reusable for many things. They are nice enough for gift bags. And my grands love to paint on them.
I was told never store avocados with fruit. It ripen the fruit faster. Again I always love to see your videos. You can make everyone smile. You are truly amazing!
We don’t have Aldi in Colorado. It’s a cryin shame! But when I visit our daughter in Texas, I’ll shop for her there and it’s amazing! She also said that she goes there early Wednesday mornings and their chicken is further discounted to like $1. Last year, my husband and I went looking for French sea salt (our other daughter asked that we buy some while in France on our once in a lifetime trip) and couldn’t find it at any market, but Aldi had it! I’m sure I would be paying double what you spent on your haul, at Walmart. Thank you for all your suggestions. Now, I know what to suggest to my Texas daughter next time we go shopping!
Can’t believe some of the rude comments I saw on here! Just ignore them; they don’t matter! Love all your videos! You are an awesome mom and homemaker! Love all your videos!
Hi Kristen..loved this because we love ALDIs and will try some of your ideas too. I am always amazed at how cheap stuff compared to others. I can not tell the difference in condiments. The cheeses are so good especially if you let it set out..,there white cheese round with cranberries is so good. I have not tried their coffee. I love So Good ..low sugar low carb yogurt from Walmart or Krogers. I put a drop of honey in it, I will try what you get. A little over a hundred dollars is not bad. And guess what I think whole milk is fine..My husband drinks a lot of milk and he won’t drink low fat milk. His cholesterol is perfect, as is his glucose. Happy eating and yes I pick up fire roasted often by mistake. You look beautiful as usual.. Oh do you like dates…such a good dessert . Their are a big bag for like four dollars. They are a good sweet treat. ❤❤❤❤
When my onions start to go bad I dice them up and freeze them for soups and stuff like that
That's a great idea
That's such a good idea! Thanks for suggesting that.😊

I love your videos! I should have known better than to watch this grocery haul…I am no ravenously hungry! Off to Aldi I go! Thank you for your sweet and humble spirit!
You’ve inspired me to shop at Aldi’s. Can you share your ceviche recipe? Blessings to you and your precious family.
I should! Maybe I can put it in a video!
Yes, please!
@@KristenHoffmanI don’t even know what ceviche is!
Thank you! Will do!
I've done that twice , grabbing the fire roasted instead of the diced tomatoes 😂
Would love you to share your chicken Parmesan recipe
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Will do!!
Yes, please!
This was really interesting, I'm from the UK and we shop at Aldi every week. Some of the items are very different to what we can buy and some of the size of products are much bigger at your Aldi. Xx
This is amazing! Thank you for making this. You’ve convinced me to try out the Aldi near me
Hope you like it!
Produce looks fantastic there. Can't believe the prices too, so good.
My favorite right now are their cosmic crisp apples.
So good!
Loved this video!! I have been trying to go to aldis more. Their fruits and veggies are awesome!!
I just finished binging every single one of your videos! Will you share your ceviche recipe?
LOVE plain organic whole milk Greek yogurt. Your sweet friend Amy Fritz turned me on to adding a little smooth pb and a tsp of baking cacao powder with just a drizzle of pure maple syrup. SO GOOD! Taste like chocolate pudding! * for "healthy ice cream, try whipping up pure havy cream with frozen berries.
Yum!!
CAW-CAW from the aisle of shame!! I absolutely love Aldi ❤️
Hey Kristen! At our Aldi I find the fruit goes bad really quickly. They have beautiful meat and I do love to look at their decor section! You got a lot of food! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
Oh wow!
Cut up/dice up the onions, seal wwell, and freeze. Good for soups or mix with hamburger for sauces, meatloaf, etc. When lemon and limes start aging out, squeeze the juice out of the fruits and freeze it.
Thank you for taking us grocery shopping with you. It was fun.🥰🥰
Thanks for coming
I love your videos, you aint here please us this is your family you buy for I just love that your so honest with it all. Keep the videos coming.❤
I appreciate that
I live in Ontario Canada, our grocery bill for my family of 6 is $200 to $300 everytime I do the groceries. It's terrible ☹
I love how you store all your produce though!! I'm going to have to try to find a place to hang my potatoes and onions! I love watching you every week, you have such a beautiful family and home❤
Wow!!
We pay attention to food labels and yes making better choices does save money and important for health. Great haul.
Can you share where to buy your hanging produce bags…I’ve only found the rustic basket kind that take up a lot of space. Thanks ❤️.
Also great for misc items. Sometimes I find great finds for home decor too👍! Thanks for sharing your haul. Have an awesome week🌸
Thank you! You too!
I now will have to go and try it!!!! Never have been in the store !!!!
We also love Aldi!! I loved your idea for the potatoes in those sacks on display!!! Loved this video:)
We have an Aldi just a mile away, my husband rides his bike there and picks up whatever we need. It is ike a neighborhood store with good prices and produce.
I always go for the red bag chicken it’s so good ❤
I just recently discovered Aldi's and I love it for fresh produce, sauces, and cheeses. I love these videos and suggestions of other items that I might not have ever tried. Tfs!❤
So glad!
Where are your produce bags from that you store your potatoes in?
By keeping your fruits & veggies on the counters & such, do you get those little gnats or fruit flies? Also, don't throw your wilted herbs away. Blend them together with your onions & other herbs to make a green seasoning. It can be used on veggies, meats. I make up a batch, put it in ice trays & then into freezer bags.
I must try Aldi store. The Giant i go to is outrageous prices! You look just beautiful as always!
Thank you so much!
“Y’all”! lol love it!!
I LOVE going to Aldi, yes best way to save money. Try growing cilantro, it’s so easy and at the end of season it will reseed itself. Actually sow it like once a month since it goes to seed pretty quickly. Sow some basil too, it’s great on homemade pizza.
Great idea!!
Just take the boxes to aldi when you shop😊
Or your own shopping bags. If I only need a few items and I'm doing self check out, I gladly purchase the bags. Love them because they are heavy duty brown paper, very sturdy with handles, and reusable for many things. They are nice enough for gift bags. And my grands love to paint on them.
I was told never store avocados with fruit. It ripen the fruit faster. Again I always love to see your videos. You can make everyone smile. You are truly amazing!
Thanks for sharing!!
I love Aldi! I used to go every week but I have been slacking. I really need to get back at it.
Love this shopping haul video, I just started my own shopping haul channel too ❤
Cool!!
