I have a Helix 7. Actually, the boat I bought has two of them so I am really thinking about going to where it is stored and getting one of them. Is there any chance my Helix 7 won't have the option for the ice transducer or setting it up as you have it?
Are you sure it won't fit in a bucket? My Helix 7 measures 10.5" across. Most buckets are about 11 or 11-1/4" ID. I'd love to try your option rather than buy a Humminbird shuttle for $400 but it has to fit in a bucket or no go.
@@nickdimott8658 nope I still just fish it as is. The only downside is transporting it cause it doesn’t fit in a 5 gallon bucket. The helix 5 would be nice for that reason to fit in a bucket
@@JacksonBaumgartOutdoors yeah I figured that it wouldn't if the arms were shorter it would I'm sure o was going to maybe cut them off and make a couple really short brackets and try that

You should be able to look in settings “switch to ice mode” to see if it’s an option

It fits a standard one. Just barely can fit the norsk lithium one in there.

I believe it will yes as long as the brackets are the same width
did you ever try to throw this in any soft case after this? Humminbird's, Vexilar's, trophy angler's soft cases?
I have not. And it doesn’t fit in a 5 gallon bucket so that definitely is a danger of it getting damaged

6.35 inches to be exact
