Great video, Jay! I just got a LS with the 32 transducer this winter. Amazing what I've already learned in the handful of times out. Using it alongside a sonar or flasher is eye opening also. My boys definitely love watching how the fish come in also.

Great video Jay. I recently purchased the Livescope plus and it’s my first foray into live imaging. Thanks for the advice on settings I think that will help fine tune it. I am struggling a bit with forward view deciphering what is a fish. I will keep at it. Thanks again for another great video.

I just used my megalive today and it definitely helps to have panfish like crappie for focusing what settings are best. I just wish I had as good of luck as you!

I have had livescope for 4 years now, I too like the blue color scheme, my settings are pretty similar to yours. I just cant get over how gold colored those crappies were though! Wow. I must have an old version of the summit pole, yours looks a little better than mine, I'll have to go check out their site.
The hdpe is the same stuff used on jetboats for sliding rocks on the river. Also used as slides for the bottom of ice sleds. Super strong stuff and can take a beating
That new shuttle is so slick! Looks like I’ll need to upgrade after 2 months 😂

I think the 8610 is their best unit. Bought mine 3 yrs ago and love it
I use y 8610 with Livescope Plus system in a hard shanty connected to a 27” monitor via hdmi and also connect my aqua-vu to my 8610 with av connection. This way I can split screen Livescope and aqu-vu and record it all with the Garmin active captain helm feature. Additionally, I can add a third split screen and wirelessly connect my garmin VIRB ultra 30 action cam. Love all the connectivity of the 8610
For a sec I thought your new thrive visuals model had sleeve tattoos all the way down to finger tips, but it was Jay carrying the shuttle with camo gloves on. 🤷🏻♂️🤣🤣

Great Video Jay. Honestly though go back and watch Uncut's White fish slay day and tell my why anyone needs anything more than a PS-22 Panoptix transducer for jigging fish.. especially in deeper water.
Do you find that pressured fish get spooked by the high power of this transducer?
I see lots of fish with mine (and catch more because of it) but we’ve caught even more fish when finding the fish via livescope and then using a low power mode flasher or camera only vs fishing under the Livescope.

Hey jay, Maybe you already got some videos or maybe it’s almost impossible to do ice fishing, But I think it would be crazy cool to use a live minnow fair size weight so it can only swim around like a 4ft radius in front of your camera. I’m thinking about getting a live scope so I know very close to nothing about them. So would I have to buy the live scope and a transducer or does the transducer come with the purchase of the 8 or 10 inch screen? And do I have to have all the extra wiring like you did in the video or is that just for recording videos?
Hey Jay what chargers do you use for your lithium batteries?
HDPE is same material used for fiber optic cables, the inner duct pipe is HPDE high density poly ethylene, super strong, won't Crack in low Temps.

Do you prefer the AVerMedia capture card or using the active captain app to record the livescope?
Of course I just got their 3d printed one 2 months ago haha oh well it's still a really great product.
While convenient, I’ve found over time that screen recording from Helm on ActiveCaptain can be hit or miss/unreliable sometimes. Some clips glitch, hurts to have it glitch on a good Livescope eat. I may have to give the screen recording device a try on my 1243xsv. I’ll be curious to see how it works out, I know Clayton uses one too
What are you using on the pole for the cable retainer?
i think you should put the shuttle out in the cold bring in and do the same test ...cold temps make big difference with plastics
Can you use the normal lvs34 transducer for ice fishing or do you have to have the If model for ice fishing?

The Dakota charger has alligator clips. How did you adapt the charger to work with the port on the Summit? Thanks for the help

Great overview. It would be awesome to see a video using the lvs34+ for fishing small lakers and small baits at 70-100 fow. I find the lvs32 loses small baits around 40-50fow. Nice to see the chase even when using crappie tubes for 45cm lakers. Also turn off TVG for lakers otherwise your bait gets filtered out of view near the surface. All the best.

I used the large bag, it's tight..but I prefer having the slightly smaller overall size.
Try the blue color scheme in night mode, really cool looking!
How do you get into night mode?
@@AnimalJones_outdoors just hit your power button one time and should be a drop down menu! Only scheme it effects is yellow and blue. But just something different.

How much time do you realistically get on the 23ah Dakota lithium?
I get about 8 hrs with that battery with my livescope plus setup but it depends on brightness etc
So that transducer with the different cord you said is for ice fishing, would you not use on a boat or is this the new cord for all seasons?
It would be fine to use all seasons! Just a bit more friendly for winter use compared to the non ice fishing version.

Not exactly about this video but I use a kdrill 7.5” and have lvs34 now. Will my livescope fit on the 7.5” or do I need to get an 8.5”

I feel like at some point those livescope ducers will have a built in gimbal like a gopro so u dont need the shaft and use it like a typical flasher ducer.

If humminbird didn’t have the clear SI/DI and lakemaster, it would be trash. I run 2 birds in my boat but have a stand alone garmin unit for live imaging because it’s head and shoulders better than humminbird, also have you ever thought about trying a 16v battery? They say it provides a clearer image.
While the imaging on Garmin is superior, Humminbird's shuttle for their mega live (and 360) bundle is way nicer than the Garmin branded one. Hence the need for all these aftermarket ones.
Arclabs shuttle and pole blows away Summit , Garmin and Humminbird’s shuttles and poles. You want plastic or nice aluminum. Only bad thing about Arclabs is good luck trying to get one. I have in waiting since Mid December for mine.

Doesn't feel so stupid being a boy when you out fish your rich friends grown livescopping ass. You don't need a live scope to catch fish. They're just nice to own. Usually rich people who don't know how to get a fishes attention need something like this.

Wish I could decide between Mega Live or LVS34
The 34 is the best in the market right now. But if you are married to hummingbird the mega live will work too. Just wont be as good as the 34.
^^ This. You can find lots of fish with either, but the LVS34 is definitely better.
Garmin has better imaging for sure. However, mega live gets the job done. And if you have lakemaster chips and are used to Humminbirds settings and especially if you want to get target lock or network to existing Humminbirds on your boat, mega live is the way to go.

No comparison Garmin is and always be years ahead of any other manufacturers. Livescope was out 2 to 3 years before Humminbird put out mega live. Garmin already working on the next upgrade to Livescope.

Not a fan of these shuttles, i did an ammo box build for under $50 diy livescope pole $20. Id rather see ways others are making diy shuttle and pole builds.
