My Iso certified dive watch is a Citizen and quartz and it's the last watch glowing on my watch wall. I've a few Tissots but not the PRX and I'm not likely to get one. Similarly, Casios but not that one.
The Casio World Time is such a cool watch. I did a video on that one too. The Tissot PRX is also a great choice. People I know, when asked what watch they were wearing, used to say “it’s just a Tissot.” The PRX changed the image of Tissot. Sadly, people are asking $1000 for a SKX on eBay now. Great watch but not worth $1000.
Oooo, got me on the Royale. I still want to pick up a PRX at some point to check out, but I missed the bandwagon on the SKX. I got a 5KX in the house but never quite connected with it. The DressKX on the other hand is a different story, love that one.
1 out of 3 for me. This is a good "3 watch collection" for most. I feel like you've got an odd love for the Tissot PRX, I just don't like them, any of them, I fall asleep they're so boring - but that's how I feel about most "go anywhere do anything" watches, I feel like they don't do any one thing well. The Seiko SKX and Casio AE1200 I can absolutely agree with, for their versatility and value. My AE1200 now has that SKXMOD case upgrade and sapphire crystal, and cannot be faulted. I never had an SKX, but I've got a 6309 "turtle", and I'll never sell it; I do think the homages to it are probably better value nowadays, and without the fear of any harm if you actually wear them out. Great video, and it's always fun to know what others think in the comments.
Hi Jody. I only have one of the models you present. The famous SKX (navy and black boy “J”). The Tissot doesn't interest me, I would prefer the cheaper Tsuyosa. And I also prefer one of my G-Shocks rather than the Ae1200. Even if in metal I find it cool. Happy Holidays to all. 🎉🥂🥳
2 out of 3 for me. Although not quite the SKX, my SRPB11 Seiko Blue Lagoon Turtle has been a huge personal favorite and gets a lot of wrist-time - especially on the ocean. It cost me appx. $500 at my local jewelry shop -- first watch that I ever purchased at a jewelry shop --- and it's selling for the same price used today (crazy!). Also, although not quite the Royale, the Casio World Time AE-1000W-1BV cost me $17 in 2014. It's still going strong on the original battery! Tremendous value and no regrets. Can't say that about every watch in my home.
0/3 for me. I would have bought an SKX at some point, so jumped on an Islander from Long Island Watch, when they came out! The same dimensions with interchangeable parts as the SKX, and infinitely better specified - mineral crystal, solid bracelet with screws and milled clasp, and a Seiko movement with hacking and hand winding. So perhaps it’s 0.5/3 instead 👍
Got the SKX171, I’ve only ever seen one other in the wild. I cut the old strap off and wear it on NATO now. Also PRX auto. Never owned an AE1200, but the more I see them, the more I’m tempted. Already got about half a dozen other Casios and g-shocks.
Two out of Three Jody. The Seiko SKX had and swapped by the Turtle. I have the Royale. The PRX technically not but I presented the gold 35 mm to my better half so almost 3 of 3. Thanks for the video. Take care!!!
I bought the round version of the Casino Royale from Amazon for $19 USD and love it. And my first watch on this list wouldn't be the discontinued SKX but the Casio Duro.
Well 2 out of three ain’t bad ! Have an skx011j and the silver AE1200, never been a fan of the Prx though. I do have a Citizen NH8350-59L on a brown vintage colareb strap which I think looks great and a good choice for a cheap dressy auto.
One out of three, many SKX's over the years and plenty of other Seiko's, all long gone, never jumped on the PRX train,... plenty of Casio's but not that one, I prefer the larger display Casio models W-217H , keep up the good work love your vids Jody.
3 for 3! SKX 013(moded with a coinedged bezel and Lumed sapphire insert), PRX powermatic 80 (sold it because it was too big for my liking), silver unmodded Casio Royal :]
I have that casio royale golden display with green map. I just love it.. i have other casio g shock like squares and casioaks, but royale feels different on hand.. very light weight and comfortable and so many functions that can actually help you to get rid of smartphone addiction by play time game😅. Anyway thanx for the video.
Really ENJOYED the video, i have the SEIKO but instead of the PRX I got myself a CITIZEN TSUYOSA but i dont have that CASIO! HOPE i will get in FUTURE someday and I dont like it that much!
3 out of 3 for me; my first automatic was the skx007, and it's still one of my favorites in the collection after 10+ years with me. Also, the quartz prx because I think it's just a better offer than automatic, and, of course, the Casio full resin 😎 really good 3-watch collection if you can stop there 😂
Two out of three for me. For some reason I never added a PRX to my totally out of control watch collection. I do have the Tissot Gentleman which is another excellent option. Fun video. Thanks
I have just received my Pitzmann II and it is a beauty. WOW this is a lot of watch for the money. Materials, finish, and design all top notch. Thank you for your review, I only found a few, it was very helpful. I wouldn’t even know it was out there. My favorite microbrand in my collection. Also 0/3 on these, Oceanus and G-SHOCK Casios, however.
SKX liked it since I got interested into watches. Didn’t pull the trigger but now I realise with that 7s26 movement inside they weren’t a necessary buy. I proudly own two early days Snk series and been happier. PRX didn’t caught my appeal anyday. I would love to have other underrated Tissots powermatic 80 powered than PRX. And that royale I’ve been proud owner for 3 years 😊
0/3. I had considered a Seiko SKX009 solely because of the Pepsi timing bezel on my first foray to watch collecting, yet I ultimately went with Seiko’s first Turtle reissue - the Seiko SRP789 that I got second hand - as my first automatic watch because of the 4R36 movement alone. While I can afford a Tissot PRX brand new, I cannot really justify a new wristwatch from a Swiss company from where I live (I have since then amassed 3 vintage Swiss watches..if you could count one of them as a Swiss watch, ironic). Still haven’t pulled the trigger on the AE1200 oddly enough, that might change. My girlfriend recently gifted me a DW6900 on my birthday not too long ago that curbed my Casio hunger. Great vid, those three are affordable classics!
1 out of 3. But then I started collecting watches this summer. I have a Casio Royal with a comfy leather strap from Vario and I actually wore it on Wednesday this week.
I like dive watches, integrated bracelet watches, and digital watches. I have no issues with the 3 watches shown, I just happen to prefer different dive, integrated bracelet, and digital watches.
I wanted the SKX but I didn’t like that it couldn’t be hand wound. I like the PRX l, but instead I bought a vintage Tissot Seastar from 1971, which has an integrated bracelet and I love that watch, it was a great price and was in nearly mint condition considering the watch’s age. And as for the Casio AE1200 I own two, one on bracelet the other on the resin strap, thanks to your reviews of that watch, the AE1200’s are a lot of watch for very little money!
1 of 3 for me! I've owned the SkX013, 007, and 009, and still own the 009. I've never owned the PRX, but had the larger version on my 6.5 inch wrist and didn't like it. Maybe the small one someday. Haven't owned that Casio either, but only because it doesn't do anything my square G-Shock doesn't already do.👍
1 out of 3 for me, the ae1200 stainless. I just re-bought one as Argos had them on offer for £22. I've never seen them lower than that in the UK and Casio's own UK website has them up for £60!! For some reason they are now also harder to come by from UK retailers. Never had an skx, especially at today's inflated prices. I settled on an ssk gmt instead.
Yes to two. AE1200, modded with a SKX Mods case, green 40mm quartz PRX but the nearest I get to the SKX is my SRP605K2. All great, but always room for Just One More Watch!
0 for 3 for me, but I'm close. My diver is an Orient Mako 2, my integrated bracelet is an RZE Resolute and my G-Shock is the GW-M5610. Great vid, as always. Merry Christmas
2 and 1 love my SKX now that it has a sapphire crystal, and my AE1200 goes with me every time I cross a time zone. The PRX never quite struck my fancy. It seems like a 70’s fad that is back for a few minutes rather than the classic I would rather spend my money on. Keep it up Jodie. 😊
1 out of 3 for me! I love my AE1200 and I purchased it, Jody, after watching your review of this little marvel. I also love the fact that it’s a genuine functional perpetual calendar, with its 10 year battery, because the date will remain correct even over the life of two leap years without intervention. (Let’s face it, automatic perpetuals will power down and then you have to re-set the calendar.) I may have to put a PRX on my list but I’m not a dive watch guy. I don’t understand purchasing a watch with a big bevel that you don’t really utilise unless you’re a diver. Plus, I prefer the classic watch look. I accept that his probably puts me out on the perimeter of watch enthusiasts. I was half expecting the Seagull 1963 to be on the list (purchased after watching Jody’s review). I have a quartz Tissot that’s gold - band and dial. And my Seiko Age of Discovery World Time is a real “show off” time piece. That’s the one that goes to special events. Phew - I see how it must be hard to limit yourself to just three!
I think you should’ve gone with the Orient Bambino, as when I first started getting into watches 6/7 years ago, that’s what everyone was making videos about. SKX, G-Shock, Bambino. Perfect affordable 3 watch collection.
I'm one for 3....and I'm OK with that. My favorite beater is the Casio. I have nothing but distain for the integrated bracelet look. (I may have no taste, but it's my no taste!) But, as a consolation, I did get the Tissot Gentleman, and enjoy it quite a lot. And I'm too new for the SKX, and frankly you can get better spec-ed watches with any number of microbrands, or even Orient...so I don't honestly think I missed anything that exciting there. (I know....to some, that's like saying the Beatles were just another band.)
1 out of 3, funnily enough I bought my Casio Royale way before getting into watches, recently I got it a stainless steel case upgrade and some strap adapters after a pack of puppies chewed the hell out of it. Still one of my favorites and it will get a lot more wrist time for sure.
Hi and thank you for this interesting video. Great job, as always. Since you asked for alternatives: -SKX: Yes, it's an icon, but I don't think you should pay 600,00 EUR or 700,00 EUR for a 200,00 EUR watch. Those who don't have an SKX now just missed the train. I personally sold my three SKX (007, 009 and 013) and replaced them with a Citizen Promaster NY0040-17L (you made yet another great video about this specific model, if my memory is correct). Better dimensions, updated movement and a great value for money. -PRX: It's totally subjective, but I really don't like this watch. Neither the design nor the wear. For an automatic, I'd suggest any Seiko SRPE and for a quartz, any Seiko SUR. Some Casio Edifice are also worth a look if you want to save some bucks. -Casio Royale: I want one^^ For now, I've got a W-800H with a similar case and it's a joy to wear. Since resin Casio do not count in the collection (everyone makes his own rules :-p), I think I'll get one soon. With a Promaster, an SRPE and a W-800H, we're still in the 500,00 EUR budget for what I consider a relevant 3 watches collection. Thanks again for your work and for this fun game.
Not a bad little 3 watch collection. I’ve got the AE1200 in metal and I love it. The others are frankly out of my price range but I do have a nice, sterile dial Tandorio SKX homage in orange and a fabulously cheap PRX homage from Skmei. I like the homages but would never shell out that much cash for the originals.
1 out of 3. I've been collecting for a few decades so I have an SKX, & had more. Still got the yellow dial one & still wear it. Still waiting on the 37ish mm PRX but then I don't have a real UA-cam channel & I already have a handful of integrated bracelet sports watches from the 70s. That Casio never quite floated my boat & I have a handful already, & since I'm not as much of a Casio fan as yourself I've just never bothered. Fun video I expect a few others to copy.
My modded SKX is the favorite of my collection and I was clever enough to keep an unmodded version in my collection. It's an important watch to me and my watch collecting journey, but I'd argue it's important to a lot of others for the same reason. It's got such an appeal that was universally appreciated.
I did own the SKX053 very early in my collection journey. In fact it was the first watch I ever bought online from a forum member in Australia via WatchuSeek. It came with the original rubber strap, and later, I put a Seiko jubilee bracelet on it. Needles to say, I really enjoyed wearing it. The PRX I kinda like but it has yet to be included in my watchbox. I have a 7" wrist and prefer the smaller automatic version. I am in the stage of reducing my collection size and only have enough slots for eight good pieces. I've got my eyes on a few other models that I really like so we'll see if the PRX eventually gets a space or not. I really like the AE1200, it's got lots of useful functions, it's cheap and it looks really good too. I bought the steel bracelet version and I love it. Did tinker if I should mod it or not but I think I prefer to save up for other watches that I hope to get later down the line like a Sinn 857 UTC maybe, a Nomos Club Campus 703 and maybe an Oris ProPilot. Great video as always!
Have the Casio, tried a friend's SKX and it didn't seem right on me but I see the appeal. As for the PRX, well, I have an original run Melbourne Watch Company Burnley so not in a hurry to get a PRX, but that Ice Blue is really growing on me.
1 out of 3 I am wearing an SKXMOD upgraded AE1200 as I'm watching this video! Don't have either of the other two! But just bought a brand new Accurist Signiture 200m Diver with sapphire crystal for £69. Think that will scratch the dive watch itch for a while.
Hi Jordi I’m also 0-3 but the Casio is on my radar and if I put into a Walmart I’ll probably pick it up Got an Orient Kamasu which ticks the SKX box and I don’t like integrated bracelets but overall agree with the thought process here If I had to start all over again 4 years back I would have probably picked up the SKX 009 I may still do There you are Agree with you and 2 out of 3 ain’t bad
I have the SKX Jody, I had the quartz PRX but dropped it because they didn't bother their arses lining up the seconds hand, in fact they seemed to have put effort into ensuring that the seconds hand hit NO markers whatsoever. I do also have the Royale . 2 out of 3 ain't bad !
1 out of 3, the Casio is a great workhorse, I take it abroad regularly as I’m in vastly different time zones, the quick button press to check the time back home is superb. The PRX never appealed, and neither does the Royal Oak or Nautilus. The Seiko looks great though, but the Alpinist is my pick of the value kings.
I’m now 1/3 as I sold my Casio World Time as never wore it. I have the Tiffany PRX and love it. Never bothered with an SKX as the prices suck now for what you get.
8:50 I have the silver one modded that exact way after seeing your mod video of it! But, the other two watches are ones that I've avoided because, 1.) I don't like the SKX dial design, and 2.) The PRX is out of my price range.
1 out of 3 for me, I truly love my SKX, I’ve never felt anything about the PRX in any of its forms and as for the AR1200 I don’t know why I’ve not got one, maybe a Christmas present for myself then! Great video as ever Jody.
1/3. White full lume dial PRX. I swap between the rubber strap and steel bracelet. My wife has the green Powermatic. For the money, especially the quartz, it is a great watch. I usually buy much more expensive watches but the PRX made me reconsider cheaper watches again.
wait what this is such an unexpected time for a JOMW upload 😮 ah shit looks like im joining this list for xmas. a PRX is on the cards... missed out on the SKX because i got into watches after its discontinuation. but i do own 2 seikos that combined would sort of be its successor. a prospex diver and a 5 GMT. might still join the AE-1200 train.... now that im dipping my toes into casio modding...
Well that’s a pleasant surprise getting a JOMW video in the middle of the day here in CA. I’m ashamed to say I don’t own any of those but then again, I started collecting after the SKX was discontinued. Plus I know if I buy an AE1200, I’m going to spend 15x the money to mod it. 🤔.
Late to the game but I just picked up the silver mod kit from SKXmods for the AE1200. Speaking of the AE1200 I agree that it is possibly the best watch ever invented.
2 out of 3 for me. Currently wearing my beautiful gold 40mm auto PRX. Blingy! Also bought a Casio Royale but didn't really gel with me - but I gifted it to a friend and he's wore it every day since. I came late to watches so never got a chance for the SKX although I've owned a 5KX GMT and a DressKX.
2/3. I have the AE1200 but hate wearing it because it’s too easy to change modes unintentionally while wearing it. They should’ve protected the pushers in some way
I'm 1 for 3. I have the SKX ( actually the 007 and 009) The PRX just doesn't click with me, and while I never went for the Casio Royale I do have a respectable honorable mention in the G Shock 5600
The Seiko is really nice. Looked at the Tissot digital until i did a spit take with the price. Did manage to go on an adventure with the missus to get an AE1200 near us. Really good functionality from a small piece. So 1 out of 3 for me. Thank you for showing the trio.
The W800 is a similarly great watch like the AE1200. Similar case, similar functions, but a little bit different. Only one alarm but it has a sneeze function. There are guys on youtube who hacked the PCB and got the countdown timer too (it's not there by default). All in all a great watch, mine is runnig for almost 13 years with the same battery. Okay, I don't use the hourly signal, rarely the alarm and also rarely the light. The silicone strap broke, but I rather bought some dirt cheap NATO straps (18mm), got a metal file to make the lugs longer - filed down some plastic from the case, to get pull through the the NATO, but it is okay, it is a beater watch, not a ballroom shoe.
2/3 here. I have the SKX007J1 on a silicone rubber strap and the AE1200 in silver on a Vario leather strap. I came close to picking up the PRX but never did.
AE-1200 is the only one I have. I came too late to the watch collecting party for an SKX to be a viable purchase for my collection price wise. As for the PRX, I have been on the lookout for a good price on a quartz. I do own a Pagani Design homage of the PRX chrono but it doesn’t get much wear to be honest 🤷♂️
1/3 - I'm not a dive watch person generally, and I've got a CasiOak doing digital beater duties in my collection. That said, interesting idea for a list and an admirable effort to narrow it down to 3, I think things like the G-Shock and Bambino could have made compelling arguments for a spot.
I'm 0 for 3 on this list. In my opinion the SKX became prohibitively expensive for what you get when they discontinued it. The PRX and the AE1200 are on my list for the future though. Great work as always Jody.
0 for 3. Almost thought you got me with the last one being the F91w. Almost bought an SKX a few times, but never have. I was expecting either an Alpinist or Khaki King on the list!
Interesting list, Jody. Instead of the SKX, I bought the Seiko Padi Turtle. I do have the green dial Powermatic 80 PRX. But for some reason, I've never had a casio.
Great 3-watch collection! Jody, how do you determine watches "that are legitimately part of my collection?" Serious question, because I've got some junkers and crap in a drawer and I don't think of them when I think of "the collection."
I agree with the Illuminator but not the world timer version. I’d say the Solar Illuminator is better as it’s a version of the watch that’s a bit bigger and is round for those who aren’t as fond of a square case and with the solar movement it can last pretty much forever. I have one from my father going 10+ years of serious abuse from my dad and it’s still running super accurately with the only issues being one side of the watch has a few little bits missing from being beaten, but the water resistance still holds strong as its bits taken out of the plastic. And the glass/ plastic cover has some scratches I need to polish out. Plus while not a world timer it still holds multiple extra time zones and a stop watch function. For just 10 more dollars at roughly $30 US it’s a great deal.
The thing I like most about the AE-1200 is the perpetual calendar. Never have to reset the day/date at the end of the month or new year and the day is always correct. It act as a base line for all my other watchs.
2 of the 3. I wasn't committed to watches when the SKX was in its heyday and feel like i have really missed out there. Not enough to pay the elevated prices people charge for them now, though!
Well I have 10 AE1200s right now, so 10/3 !
😳😳 That has to be a record? Anyone got more than ten?
That's mental! But also respectable. 😲
You‘re a sick guy. And i love it :-)
0/3, but only because I much prefer the A500.
I only have two, but my two AE1200s are in Resin, and Metal respectively.
0 for 3 for me. I've considered an SKX and PRX, but never bought them. I'm surprised that the Casioak/Gshock GA1200 didn't get a mention.
@@zibel5007Glad you did it, I can pretend im not that nerdy😂
@@jamesblonde2271 I know right, there's gotta be that person
@@zibel5007 😗
haven't owned one of them 😁 doubt I will 😉
My Iso certified dive watch is a Citizen and quartz and it's the last watch glowing on my watch wall. I've a few Tissots but not the PRX and I'm not likely to get one. Similarly, Casios but not that one.
I’ve got the Seiko SKX in both flavours, 007 and 009.
I was going to get an SKX, but creation had such a great deal on a Turtle for about $60 more than an SKX.
Love my silver look Casio Royale on a Vario brown leather band. The band actually gives it a classy look, well, a little bit.
Casio royale, orient kamasu, and then seiko cocktail time or a gshock depending on your activity level would've been my pick.
2 of 3. Had a mechanical prx but sold it. Got the casio today, and i have to say its a competitor to my the citizen and grand seiko

1 out of 3 for myself. Got a SKX009 from the wife for Christmas years back. I do wear it but also baby it, it's still pristine.
I went with the Gentleman instead of PRX. Started collecting after the SKX was discontinued. Looking to get a G-shock gwm5610
I thought ugh wonder how close I've gotten this time, and smashed it with all 3, 3 of the best ever watches. Keep up the great content Jordy.
Boom! Give yourself a round of applause!
I LOVE my Casio Royale! Great travel watch, and the retro-cool design with the loose James Bond connection are just a plus! 😎❤👍

2 of 3. My SKX is the gateway watch that lead me all the way to a Rolex 39mm Explorer. I picked up the casio along the way and love it too.
3 for 3! SKX 013(moded with a coinedged bezel and Lumed sapphire insert), PRX powermatic 80 (sold it because it was too big for my liking), silver unmodded Casio Royal :]
3 for 3 for me Jody! My ice blue PRX gets the most wear of the three. Keep up the great work!
I have that casio royale golden display with green map. I just love it.. i have other casio g shock like squares and casioaks, but royale feels different on hand.. very light weight and comfortable and so many functions that can actually help you to get rid of smartphone addiction by play time game😅.
Anyway thanx for the video.
2 out of 3 for me. I have a quartz PRX and 2 AE1200s. No SKX (I bought a Citizen NY0086 instead of a SKX009), but I did recently purchase a SRPE
And that royale I’ve been proud owner for 3 years 😊
I bought my Casio Royale after i saw your review a few years ago. Its still going strong and i wear it almost all the time!
3 from 3 for me Jody. Although it’s more like 4 from 3 as yes I’m the rare breed that also bought the PRX digital. And yes I love it!😍🤤👍🏼
I just got a Citizen NY0040-17L
1 out of 3 for me. I have a SKX. I haven’t thought about it for awhile but I just might dig it out and wear it today.
Thanks!
Erebus watch just arrived. WOW...simply WOW! Even the curved link niggle isn't. Band lays flat. GORGEOUS!
(Let’s face it, automatic perpetuals will power down and then you have to re-set the calendar.)
I may have to put a PRX on my list but I’m not a dive watch guy.
It's probably not all that surprising, but I have never owned any of these... However I have owned homages of two of them though 😉
I think you should’ve gone with the Orient Bambino, as when I first started getting into watches 6/7 years ago, that’s what everyone was making videos about. SKX, G-Shock, Bambino. Perfect affordable 3 watch collection.
2 out of 3 for me.
Been considering the PRX as my first Swiss watch.
I own the Tissot PRX mother of pearl and the Seiko SKX007. Love them! 😃
Hi and thank you for this interesting video. Great job, as always.
Since you asked for alternatives:
-SKX: Yes, it's an icon, but I don't think you should pay 600,00 EUR or 700,00 EUR for a 200,00 EUR watch.
Another great video. Never took to the PRX craze, but I own a modded AE1200 and about to mod the AE1300 as well. Amazing watches for the money.
0 for 3. And I’ll never improve on that. Happy with it too.
Yes, I have a couple of SKX's, but no PRX's, or the AE1200, but I do have Casio G-Shock 5600/5610 which are just amazing VFM and so reliable.
1 out of 3 I am wearing an SKXMOD upgraded AE1200 as I'm watching this video! Don't have either of the other two! But just bought a brand new Accurist Signiture 200m Diver with sapphire crystal for £69. Think that will scratch the dive watch itch for a while.
I've got all three! Modded my skx to look like a sinn u50, have a gold quartz prx, and a basic black Royale
1/3. Have the PRX P80. Never got a SKX but I did get a King Turtle for the price of a Seiko 5, so that should count!
I’m now 1/3 as I sold my Casio World Time as never wore it. I have the Tiffany PRX and love it. Never bothered with an SKX as the prices suck now for what you get.
8:50
I have the silver one modded that exact way after seeing your mod video of it!
I usually buy much more expensive watches but the PRX made me reconsider cheaper watches again.
wait what this is such an unexpected time for a JOMW upload 😮
ah shit looks like im joining this list for xmas. a PRX is on the cards... missed out on the SKX because i got into watches after its discontinuation. but i do own 2 seikos that combined would sort of be its successor. a prospex diver and a 5 GMT. might still join the AE-1200 train.... now that im dipping my toes into casio modding...
I have 2 SKX 007 and 009 wearing the 009 now. No PRX. I have Casio Royal. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.
I tried a F91W - too small. Got a W-800H instead. I'm in love with it. Anyhoo, Cheers!!!
2 out of 3 for me. And I can attribute both purchases (and pretty much my whole journey into the hobby) to you and your channel. Cheers!
Good selection 🙌🏼 but they were just on the fringes for me. I went Seiko Alpinist, Casio F91W and waiting for the 38mm PRX 🤗 🇺🇸✌🏼
Happy Holidays 🎅🏼
Well that’s a pleasant surprise getting a JOMW video in the middle of the day here in CA. I’m ashamed to say I don’t own any of those but then again, I started collecting after the SKX was discontinued. Plus I know if I buy an AE1200, I’m going to spend 15x the money to mod it. 🤔.
Ha! Try it mate, no need to mod it if you don't want to. And thanks for tuning in from Cali!
2 of 3 for me. Don’t have a PRX but I did gift one so pretty much 3 for 3 on a technicality.
Got gifted a white dial quartz prx couple a days ago, and I've been loving it since!
The Seiko is really nice. Looked at the Tissot digital until i did a spit take with the price. Did manage to go on an adventure with the missus to get an AE1200 near us. Really good functionality from a small piece. So 1 out of 3 for me. Thank you for showing the trio.
Spot on I've got something right...an SKX & 2 Ae1200 now for PRX.....
Merry Christmas Jodie, thanks for a great year 🎅
Two out of three. Guilty as charged. I've also just got a Royale as a Christmas present for my son 😉
1/3 - I'm not a dive watch person generally, and I've got a CasiOak doing digital beater duties in my collection. That said, interesting idea for a list and an admirable effort to narrow it down to 3, I think things like the G-Shock and Bambino could have made compelling arguments for a spot.
I agree with you about the Bambino…
I'm 0 for 3 on this list. In my opinion the SKX became prohibitively expensive for what you get when they discontinued it. The PRX and the AE1200 are on my list for the future though. Great work as always Jody.
2/3 for me SKX & Casio Royale. PRX type watch will be in my collection one day for sure but there are so many that are ahead in the line.
I doubted I’d have any on the list but ended up 2/3. I’ve had two SkX’s years ago and have a PRX but not a Worldtime. My cheap Casio is an A168!
