I remember when this guy came from nothing, playing for Grêmio. Right away he was drafted for the national team, and score and amazing goal in his first appeareance. His older brother, Assis, was also an amazing player, but Ronaldinho Gaúcho came from another galaxy. Actually, R9 was called Ronaldinho, but he became Ronaldo, to be different from Ronaldinho Gaúcho. "inho" in Portuguese means younger or smaller. "Gaúcho" mens someone from the Brasil's South, it is also used in Argentina and Uruguay, GAÚCHO is a countryside southern guy.

The most entertaining footballer i ever saw. Wether it was playing in PSG, Milan or Barcelona. Always smiling, even when he was assasinating you on the pitch. Would have wanted to see him a longer time in Barcelona. He would have had more wonderful years playing with young Messi. Dudes...Ronaldinho was the most skilled player to ever step on a Pitch and i enjoyed every game he played for Barcelona. But his peak was short lived. He was as skilled in going out partying :D so his performance could be brilliant or abismal, depending on the day he had. Messi is something else, he has been on a incredible high level for over 10 years. EVERY SINGLE MATCH! So even Ronaldinho who was a mentor and is a friend of Messi says his not on Messis level.
