There hasn't been a player like Ronaldinho since him. I know, Messi is probably more important for his teams and more skillful in many ways. But Ronaldinho at his peak was just different, pure magic. I still get goosebumps watching his highlights.

One of the greatest in my book. He might not be as graceful as Messi and Ronaldo but he was doing it at a lot higher pace and used 3 dimensions a lot more than anyone I know. Also like Pele he has great personality and sportsmanship and always fought to keep his feet regardless of the free kick on offer.

He did not invent the Elastico, it was invented by a Japanese guy (a freestyle trick player I believe) who showed it to Rivelino who I believe was the first to do it in a game and that was 70s/80's Ronaldinho was the first player that used it a lot

Ronaldinho was not the FIRST to perform the "elastic" dribble, the first to create and perform this dribble was also the Brazilian player Roberto Rivelino in 1975 in a game between his team at the time Fluminense against Vasco in the Rio de Janeiro championship that year. Many later copied it, just like Pelé's many dribbles that many later copied and we still see today.
