Aliya's 2012 Olympic journey is an inspiration. An Acl tear just a few months before the Olympics, her comeback was so fierce that she left as the most decorated non-swimming athlete of the London Olympic games.
Imagine what she'd have done if all the pressure wasn't only on her... oh and the injuries! She'd have won multiple gold medals during olympics. A class act
After her injury she became from maximalist to “thankful to have this opportunity” person. I think this mentality helped her to have long and successful career in comparison to other talented gymnasts. Don’t agree with pressure statement because according to her coaches Aliya was start+ athlete which means she performed better in competitions than in training.
The ACL injury was the biggest thing. She proved she was masterful at handling pressure, but without the Amanar vault the AA crown was basically out of reach. She still managed to pull out TWO AA bronzes though, which is remarkable.
A truly Queen, she was artistic, classic, elegant, balletic style, a beautiful gymnast.... counts when really counts.. a cold mind... A great Champion...
Crazy to think all this happened AFTER an injury that has ended the careers of so many other athletes. A torn ACL is a nasty injury… and she only got BETTER. As much as it did take away her shot at the AA gold (no more Amanar vault) it honestly made all of her gymnastics- bars especially- just spectacularly well executed and clean. Legend.
My favorite gymnast.. She's amazing an icon and is now one of the most successful female artistic gymnasts of all time. True Champ Aliya Mustafina🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🏆♥️
I feel bad sometimes because i was not able to see her on rio, and i live in brazil. But i am very happy person for having see this legend athlete in her era, in her moment. Mustafina is forever.
A queen 👑of uneven bars and a strong woman we all love ❤ you 🥰(aliya) 🥰. She is the reason started watching gymnastics🤸♂️. you are phenomenal, great and my favorite gymnast forever. "The queen Aliya Mustafina"🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
From a pak salto (high to low) she immediately connected it to a stalder shap with a half twist (low to high). A transition connection she helped popularised that almost every competitive UB finalists have that kind of transition. It’s mesmerising to me because she looked like a mermaid jumping out of a water, the way her lines are so beautiful is just majestic.
Aliya absolutely deserves her AA bronze from Rio, and shame on you for saying otherwise. Shang came to the table with a FTY vault- at the Olympics? Not even elite level. She also severely lacked in artistry, which was pointed out by multiple commentators throughout her career. That will not win you an AA medal!
Relax, if you rewatch it you’ll notice it’s just Aliya doing her AA vault she won a bronze for. To be fair Aliya was technically the better vaulter of the two it just so happened that Aliya didn’t favour it and it was the only event Masha was exceptional at.
Can someone tell me what deductions happened in her TF bars? She got 16.1 In the AA, but 0.4 lower in team...I only saw the landing deductions, but it looked like a 0.1 deduction...so where'd the other 0.3 go?
Unfortunately that was not a possibility- for one specific reason… vault. She gave the top two 7 tenths in start value in that one event. A silver? Definitely a possibility with Victoria having had the mistake on her vault. Still, bronze after the knee injury she had was phenomenal.

She actually tore it more than a year before, but very inspiring nevertheless!
Sério? Não sabia disso que orgulho ❤

well, in 2011 all eyes were on Komova after she had the highest AA score of the entire quad
I think she had her best performances under pressure! The injuries held her back, otherwise I think she would have been even more incredible!
AA, VT (After Maroneys fall) and UB Gold.

She's like the connection between the classical, the pixie girls gymnastic, and the modern gymnastics. She's got the qualities of each eras.

You missed a word- RESILIENT 😊
The great Aliya Mustafina. She was and will always be one of the most amazing gymnasts of all time. 🇷🇺

Singlehandedly carried the russian team from 2010-2018. Wish she didn't retire 💔
She is amazing ❤
Queen! She was always clutch on her DTY whenever the situation demanded it.
Ugh! 1:36 and 10:36 That little smirk gets me everytime. "I'm the fiercest of them all"
Her focused, daredevil glare at each apparatus before beginning was iconic. Almost an “I dare you to challenge me” look.
Khorkina and Mustafina truly are legends not only on UB but on the other apparatuses too.
Never get tired watching Aliya ❤️
The reason why I love gymnastics
The way how she sticks 😮

Her TF beam score could have given her the bronze in the beam final (she was the European beam champ so she was capable of)
The Queen 👸 of the Gymnastic 🎉🎉

My queen ❤️
Aliya Mustafina is her 7th Olympic Career Medals from Russia! 🇷🇺🥇🥇🥈🥈🥉🥉🥉
Add in world medals and it’s a truly impressive list.
@@saragrant9749 Unbelievable.
The fact that you can fall but never give up and win the bronze in AA. Most gymnast men or women will most likely have given up.
QUEEN 👑
Beautiful gymnast. 👑
1:08 to 1:10 Can anybody explain what that was? That just looks amazing to me....
From a pak salto (high to low) she immediately connected it to a stalder shap with a half twist (low to high). She is definitely a queen on UB for 2012 and 2016. But Her bronze medal of AA in Rio should have been Shang's.
Shang had a FTY with form issues. If she wanted a real shot, she could've at least perfected the form issues on the already lower scored vault.
Aliya absolutely deserves her AA bronze from Rio, and shame on you for saying otherwise. Shang came to the table with a FTY vault- at the Olympics? Not even elite level. how she was able to do 2 olympics even with the injuries she sustained before london is so incredible
a maior que ja tivemos monas

Maria Paseka is the Bronze Medalist on Vault in London. Correct it.

"how much drama do you want in your floor routine?"
Aliya: all of it.
my lord and saviour

who knows lol maybe some bent arms, bent legs, separation lol
I think TF judging was stricter and Komova got 15.766 for her best UB of the competition.
Team final judging was so much stricter than AA
If they gave tweddle a 15.9 for her bar routine in the event finals i think aliya should get a 16.6 then.
Why couldn’t they just not put the music in. Like Alys didn’t have it.
a maior ♥️
QUEEEEEEEEEN
Why have they not done AA and TF in Olympic order. And AA is always after TF.
Sino quizás hubiera ganado el all a round
Unfortunately that was not a possibility- for one specific reason… vault. She gave the top two 7 tenths in start value in that one event. A silver? Definitely a possibility with Victoria having had the mistake on her vault. Still, bronze after the knee injury she had was phenomenal.

The Queen deserves better than this poorly done video
Mustafina>>>Biles
She's such a class act ❤️
you can bring someone up without putting others down yk
@@claireguidroz6623 I'm not putting Simone down I just think Mustafina is a better gymnast. Comparing athletes in sports is a totally normal thing.
@@vvs4804 agree with u
Objectively, not even close.
Miky you always speaking so BAD about russians, please SHUT UP 🐍
Kskks
This girl was dopping since she started walking. Her medals should be given to the gymnasts placing after her.
