Hey everyone! A few updates: - I’ve decided to include (creative) losses into the best cannon rushes. Makes the outcome uncertain and more fun to watch. - I’m still looking for a video editor or someone that can help scout content (paid) - I added chapters to the video - Is this helpful or does it act as a spoiler?
Losses Cannon rushes are fine. It's nice to see fantastic defenses too. I don't like chapters. I often pause video to do smth and this is a nighmare spoiler for me. Need to check if can I disable it in YT options.
Losses are still great! It keeps things tense, and also serve as good lessons on how to hold against such cheeses. I personally feel chapters are spoilers, so perhaps a compromise ight be to include timestamps in a comment?
Yeah, don't do that. If the title is "greatest cannon rushes" and the cannon rusher loses, that title is pretty dumb. Title it something else, "best rush holds" or something.

lol yeah but there was a time around 2018 and 2019 when the four horsemen were stlll here and i think for a couple tournaments in a row rogue and dark were the only zergs left and were eliminated early on
I think prince should of recalled his probes to Maru’s base instead, with a the star gate he would of had more play but probably would of lost any way, maru god
Would love to see highlights of PartinG canon rushing Solar and Ragnarok in GSL and IEM making it look ridiculosly easy. I also remember sOs canon rusihng Maru at Blizzcon and beating him!
why did Prince not transfer his probes? that was very strange. he had a lot of cannons up defending the new base and had denied the 2nd base of maru. it looked very winnable
Amazing to see how bad pro players were back in the day, my god. Imagine in the last game if zerg built a singular macro hatch in order to fill up the mineral mining or even just morphed a dropperlord to circumvent the cannons and get another base (back then you could morph into dropperlords if you had only an evo).

blizzard should not remove loliship and change the protoss maping. All those "new features" are essentially industrial garbage. for example "count down feature" like come on Its only a progress for those who got paid.
The 8:20 Game...drops are great counters to cannon rushes, its easier ot sotp their expansion, and hydralisks if I remember are very good at destroying structures in rapid succession, ten hydras would of won that... but since its so early... I think going lair so you can use trasnport over lords, can allow you to scout and place in, but often cannon rushes to go air, there is a lot of things that can happen.. but in this case... when the wall went up... an overlord trasnfer would of won that game for zerg or atleast delayed, the probe... 14 minute game, hte other protoss, had the option to cancel and build another nexus, and base in another corner. Since static structures are lite a terminal investment. by doing this you can take the building loss, which typicall is the same.. you trasnfer your probes when the other nexus finishes, and you ahvea gateway up, but typical you want to tech up before you lose your tech'd strcuture paths, so this way you can go straight into void rays or airtoss as a coutner, since cannon rushses are static and expensive, so by the time the other player attempts to expand or use more time about two more minutes of investment. you cna have 3-4 void rays done nad be building around your 5th voidray... you just have t odo the math... even getting two star gates is a great idea... they might switch to stalkers, but you can coutner and take back your primary spot... the other option is more mineral intensive, but its stalker gateway, blink/ 3 and you build as many as possible... stalkers are not as mobile or strong , another interseting thing in the 15 minute game, is that does he want larva or creep control, I htink tumour in this case is more important because it can deny protoss for movement, so I would of went creep spread ot deny cannon encroachment, also lair andusing overlrods ot createa defensive build mesh is another zerg anti cannon rush that slows them down, since you cna just go outside the range, adn it forces hte protoss to slowly build one cannon one unit at a time and hten you jsut move bakc and generate creep again... Cannon rush surprises typically you need a few minutes seconds ot change gears... to coutner it... Surprised he didn't use 75 for a spore crawler sincei t has one more unit of range. He didn't mutate 3 ravagers which could of helped sniping sentires and the pylon... hmm.. Lair.. upgrade would of been done nad again drop lords can move half his army out of his base and then run around to the opponenets base or surround the base... cost would of been.. lair and 25/25 super cheap, so deny yourself one roach for utlity... At ten minutes 3-5 ravageers would of solved that, not sure why in ten minute he hasn't amde a drop lord or other means, so the player fails to utlize other base units, is he meming at this point.. the protoss player is technically way behind.. since his one base all in was mostly staic buidligns and htus going around is the logical player and denying static expansion... hmm it is frustrating... I htought .. I don't udnerstand the zergs position... bring back the drop lord, literally super cheap and fast.. cannon rush ,expand creep slow rush, take 30 seconds ot move 30 serglings or 12 roaches... and make an assault... over at minute 7.. lol.. those sentries wcould of easily been overwhelmed for hte price of alir and overlord drop... no ravagers was confusing.. lmao.
If Dropperlords were so viable against cannon rush then pros would have made it a standard response don't you think? Also in the last PvZ, it was played on HotS so Ravagers weren't in the game yet. In PvP a good cannon rush hits early enough that a Cyber Core is less than halfway done. There will definitely not be enough time to wait for it to finish to get a Stargate. Defense will have to be with Gate units and your own Forge to build cannons (meaning no minerals for a Nexus). If instead you try to abandon the main and proxy a Nexus then the opponent will just cannon rush that location too while it builds plus you will have no units to defend since you used those minerals to build the Nexus.
Read the pinned comment. A cannon rush can still be great if it’s very creative. Plus including losses makes the viewing experience better (not knowing what happened)

Lol it was 10% maru and 90% terran having stupid immunity to cannon rushes because of lift also super sturdy SCV's help
