Absolutely stunning backdrop once again. This is such a unique channel between the scenery, the stories, and mostly Chris's stortelling abilities and humble demeanor. Very happy for you Chris on 100,000k subs and know it will grow continually as the consistency is of your video chops and your friendly demeanor speaks to many!✌️
Right!? I’m born and raised in NYC, 47 years, rarely traveled outside of it, but when I did it was only to other cities. I would NEVER into the wilderness. Anyway, point is I’m not wilderness guy nor a wilderness channel guy, but I randomly came across this channel and I just liked this guy’s chill demeanor and Subbed just off the strength of that, just cuz he’s a one cool dude. I’ll Sub to channels I know I’ll probably never watch again just for the support if I see they’re just regular everyday people tryna do their thing, even if it ain’t my thing, and they’re not a big company. Anyway, this guy just pulls you in, he really paints a picture. And the beer of the day thing!? Love it!
My father was hunting in the cascades and came across an elk carcass. He said it was odd because the marrow was gone from bones that were intact, and the skin was neatly peeled off, not torn. He also said he felt like he was being watched and heard noises as he was high tailing it out, but he never saw anything.
A friend of mine went on a day hike, in an area he knew well. He, too, became lost. He is fine. But he said, he heard what sounded like a women or child in distress, and followed the sound. He never found what made the sound, but he became very lost, disoriented, and felt like he was being watched. Scared the life out of him. He finely found the road he drove in on, and his truck, very early in the am. He sa8d he got the H out of there fast! Never follow those sounds!! 😊
Another great one! We live in South Reno, near McCarren and Skyline, and my wife saw a big black bear walk through our complex out our kitchen window. She's from the Philippines, so it was really exciting for her. Kayaking down the Truckee River I imagined what it would be like to see something in the trees. I have a kid's imagination still, even at 53. It's the unknown that keeps life interesting.
Oh, a tale from earlier this year. I work for a transportation company. I dropped a client off at his work in one of these industrial parks we have in the area. They're very woodsey... just clearings in the trees with the business and some parking... then it's solid trees until the next sign and driveway. Anyway, it was around 7:30pm, pitch dark, no street lights, just some lights on the building. I pull in, drop him off and have to back directly out. I get back onto the road, still in reverse, and as I'm stopped before I change gears into drive, the motion detector behind me starts going off. With the pinkish hazy light from the rear lights of the vehicle I see movement behind the van in the side mirrors.... I could smell the odor of wet dog and unbathed human.... I put the van in drive and left.... I don't work later shifts anymore. 😳🤔 whew!!
Hey Chris, Just wanna tell you that I love your channel. Everytime I see that you posted a new video I get a smile on my face, and I know I'm not the only one so keep up the good work kind sir, stay safe out there and we'll be with you!! Cheers.... Kyle PS... Im way jealous of the life you're seeming to be living and channels like yours is making me want to get back out into nature more often, so again, best of luck to you!
Same :D. Chris usually puts out a new video on Sundays. I discovered his channel in my feed one morning when I was up early getting ready for work, last Fall. I was captivated. I think I've watched most of them now.
I know that feeling. I used to hike a lot when I was younger living in Ohio. I came across some unusually large canine tracks in the woods on one occasion. They were the size of my hand and fairly fresh; I'm not a small man. Not long after finding those tracks I noticed how quiet the woods sounded. About that same time, I got this creepy feeling like I was being watched. It got so bad I drew my hunting knife and did some kind of ninja walk the whole couple miles out of the woods. I had my head on a swivel the whole time. This was the only time I ever felt this way in the woods. Later, I learned that my uncle and cousin had similar separate stories in these same woods.
Morning Chris from South Australia. Another good recount of someones close encounter. The stream was just lovely but after you mentioned the footprints and Bear Scat I was looking around your location. I hope you go to these spots prepared for the unexpected. That poor Elk, I cant imagine its fear and pain. Im glad Matt was able to get back to the Ranch though. The little wildflowers on the way in were pretty. 🌼🌸🌼 Thank you again for a great story. Have a great week. Stay Safe.❤️🇦🇺🦘
CONGRATS ON 1OOK SUBS, CHRIS!!!! We love ya, keep up the great work! Not for nothing but I love the beer selections, have seen lots of NV, Cali, and Oregon brews, would love to see some more Washington beers...give Elysium or Pyramid a shot, those are my two favorite labels!!
Hi Chris! Thanks for another story!!! This one is so creepy. I love these stories so much but would never enter into the woods or forest! 😂 I don't know, on the other hand, if I were with a group of people..... . These stories fascinate me because in the realm of possibility, there are other things out there that we really don't know about. I'm open to strange occurances and sightings. Why not??? Be safe out there Chris!!!
I love those camp stories 😊 Although I find the idea of Bigfoot fascinating, various scientific investigations and field studies have been conducted to search for evidence of Bigfoot, including footprint analysis, hair samples, and wildlife monitoring. Nonetheless, these efforts have not yielded conclusive evidence to support the existence of Bigfoot. Not even a shit found, literally. Not A single hair. That's unlikely if not impossible. But great stories. Why am I grabbing a beer at each one 😆
I graduated Bend High School with the Owners of Deschutes Brewery. A friend feeds a Squatch family that comes in his back yard on the Oregon Coast Range....
Wow Chris !! This story was really creepy...That bull elk was being ripped apart when Matt came upon the scene and being pursued by those monsters... Yikes! This is one of my 10 Ten Best stories!
All I could think of was that poor old moose. I luv animals and hate to hear about these things hurting them and I was hoping for a phone interview too. You kind of spoiled us Chris. Haha Keep drinking that good ole beer and stay safe.
Chris your videos relax me so much in a world thats going to hell. I am so happy for your videos and I appreciate everything you go way beyond to tell us the story

Great video! As always! I live in Elko so it’s great to have a UA-camr so close to home that tells these amazing stories! Keep posting and keep Hiking!!
That poor elk must have been suffering so. A strange and frightening encounter for this guy. I wouldnt want to stay in that cabin either. Glad he made it out safely. Another Sunday night chiller, Chris. This one certainly went bump in the night. Take care.
Kind of reminded me about life and the evil that is out there. You don't know what people are willing to do. For the most part, you stay away from bad situations or places but it's the moments you can't fathom that get most people. Not the forest, but a gas station for instance, where you could be car jacked for example. Let's face it . Life is short you begin with and any of us could be swipped away any given moment. So my point is to enjoy life, be smart, and live each day as a better version of yourself.
@@trackrunner11people kill a hundred thousand elk or more each year in USA. There's nothing evil or weird about this. Squatch kill probably more than we do. And always have. And they probably don't hurt hunters often, not because they have guns, but because we take trophy elk. Which are too hard for them to fight. They're.not stupid. We take the big ones, and leave them plenty of scraps. And then they can hunt smaller ones.
I live near Cody. There have been Bigfoot sightings near the East gate of Yellowstone, seen from the road. Same road to access Mandy’s ranch since there’s just one main road going up to the Northfork of the Shoshone River😮
Chris. As much as iui enjoy the stories, my mind kept on focusing on the Bear or Bears because of the bear tracis. Please be careful you shouldn't be there especially when tracks and poops are fresh. I so enjoy the stories but Your more important kin keep safe..Aloha and GOD Bless You 🥰⚘🙏

Wow that was a chilling encounter that guy had , great story telling Chris I was on the edge of my seat , your channel with the magnificent scenery so awesome, all the best from Queensland Australia 🇺🇸🇦🇺
Good story. I've had a few encounters in my childhood, many years ago, but I wasn't pursued by anything. We lived next to a wooded area and we'd see something staring at the house at night from the woods. We lived in Ohio at the time but my parents sold our property and moved us all the way to California. Careful w the beer in the woods, Chris. I once took a beer in the woods to drink and had a black bear come up the hill after smelling it. It got within 10 yards of me, then I had to belt on my whistle in many varying tones in order to confuse it enough to turn around!
Chris, I'm so captivated when I listen to you tell these stories. You truly make me feel as if I were there experiencing such terrifying encounters. This story really was really creepy. Please keep telling more!

I live in Cody and I have to confess... it was me. I'd been drinking that night and hadn't eaten much, and that elk looked delicious. Didn't mean to scare the kid, but like I said, I'd been drinking. Anyway, the elk was tasty, I got a shave and a haircut, and I'm feeling much better now. 😂 I've spent plenty of time in these mountains and never run across anything mysterious. It's the not so mysterious stuff that's scary... like grizzlies prowling around your camp at night or a mountain lion stalking in the shadows that can make your hair stand on end. Great story though.
Another great story Chris...! Thanks for sharing it...! Part of me would love to be put in a situation like that and the other part says No thank you...! lol
My favorite part of the day . Thanks Chris , loving seating for the story . Thanks you for keeping us on edge .. keep Hiking 🥾 Love from Camarillo, Ca . 😊
Hi BCC, I just discovered your channel a few days ago and have been enjoying your past videos. Thank you for these interesting and entertaining stories.
Chris, because of your channel & gift at relating harrowing & unnerving stories sent to you by others I can now feel that primordial love that I always had for the great outdoors come surging back with a magical & primal delight, as that desire to go camping in the vast wilderness & to live as my primitive forebears did for a few weeks has returned, bringing forth these various sensations that beautifully reinvigorate & rejuvenate. Your storytelling has that amazing effect upon me. Few do it as well. Looking forward to hearing this captivating tale! Told by one of the best in the business.
That's funny that you say "It startled Matt" ,like it was a spider . Like my Dad used to say," The only one to know what happened would be the laundry".

I believe Mandy has had some possible encounters of her own hopefully the two of them will one day be able to discuss it
14:30 i wonder if that last loud sound was the elk hollering because they attacked it again? Or just the bigfoot hollering?
After David Grusch came out with Alien spacecraft- anything seems plausible! Great story!
Appreciate your kind words!! Very inspiring!⛺️c

Glad you enjoyed it Debbie! Thanks - Chris🐻
That's funny that you say "It startled Matt" ,like it was a spider . Like my Dad used to say," The only one to know what happened would be the laundry".
