      I almost want to buy one, but have a rifle or an anime gun girl printed on it for the meme.
      It would redefine keeping a gun under your pillow.

      @ReadySetGoPictures 4 роки тому +33

      @@yjkoh3399 inferior can mean so many things. Is a Lambo an inferior car to a Bugatti? Sure; but that doesn't mean its a bad car. All depends on what you need. No need to spent all your money on additions or improvements that won't make a difference for your and your use of the object.

    • @yjkoh3399
      @yjkoh3399 4 роки тому +27

      @@ReadySetGoPictures Yeah no.
      Keymod is weaker mounting system, shears easier, and even Noveske the contributors of the beginning keymod are building M-lok systems now.
      No new manufacturers are building keymod rails or accessories. This isn't Lambo to Bugatti, this is Betamax to DVD. Except that in this scenario, the DVD system is both superior strength AND more prolific.
      If you buy cheap keymod and don't intend to change a set system that's very sane. But I would never suggest a new shooter to go into the keymod system.

    • @ReadySetGoPictures
      @ReadySetGoPictures 4 роки тому +10

      @@yjkoh3399 Have you ever had keymod break on you? Probably not. I agree, dont start there if you're just getting into guns, do with what's being used. But if you have a built rifle with parts that work or want parts that are on sale, who cares. You'll probably be fine in the lifetime of the gun unless you're really putting it to use, which most people don't.

It has performed flawlessly and maintained its water resistance for over two years. I use CR123A batteries which don't have great life but you could also run a single 18650 rechargable battery in it. I wouldn't hesitate to run a Streamlight on a rifle.

    I use a 4x scope. And instead of an RMR for close range, use a very small lightweight visible laser, zeroed to 10-15 yards. Just much easier and quick than trying to find your dot on your rmr when its on top or offset. Its work so much better for me, especially for medium game.

    I love my 12.5" "RECCE" build. Went with the noveske crusader barrel. A bit heavy but it makes up for it by its accuracy and it actually chronos a bit faster with 77gr loads than a few other 14.5s I've measured.

    You can use shrink tubing or just electrical tape over the paracord where it meets the Picatinny to protect it. If you use shrink tubing you don't fully shrink it and it will keep more of its "pliability."

    was a recce myself, we used a 5.56mm bullpup, 508mm(20 in) barrel, 1.5x optics, barrel mount IR emitter which can toggle between a visible red dot or an invisible beam for use with NVG. weapon was 4kg(8.82lb). Generally we don't engage, and the furthest distance we'll do so is around 300m.

    Shit I was using quad rails on my SBR up until today. Now I'm using Keymod lol. I'm still rocking Quad rails on my DMR. Try Velcro strips for cable management, tape will melt. I use the Velcro strips from Walmart, can find them in the TV area. Good option for a less expensive Optic is Primary Arms with ACSS. Good video brother.

      M85FSLUVR I do too my friend but I've had them melt away. I use zip ties all most of my gear if I need to semi permanently attach something. After a few disagreements with bad guys in OIF4 I found the zip ties on my light cords were melted off. Zip ties, Velcro, "Ranger" Bands, 100mph tape, Electrical tape it all works. Try the Velcro cable organizers from Walmart or wherever. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
