Here in the USA they called your vehicle a Corolla GTS, AE86. I was very fortunate to see the brand new ones coming right off the delivery truck from Toyota. I believe the Corolla GTS came in 1985 and the Toyota MR2 came in 1986. I was a Toyota Technician then and became a Toyota Master Technician in 1990. I worked in San Diego CA and Toyota shipped new vehicles from Japan to the port in Long Beach CA. I love your channel and have watched everything during the builds including the Toyota Atlantic build. Super Cool!
I've watched a number of your build videos and just watched this one. I just finished tearing a 7AFE that I'm going to be using to build the destroked 7AGE that'll be going into my Corolla FX. your videos have been really helpful in preparing me for my build. Thanks for sharing your build!
I've loved watching this build come underway. I'm actually building a weird motor at the moment. it's a 7ac motor. 7afe bottom end with a 4ac head. The bottom end has been fully refreshed with forged rods and oversized 16v pistons. 4ac head was fully worked by OST and I also have a rare 4ac dual side draft manifold sporting twin Mikuni type r 40's. I'm pretty stoked on the build and should have it up and running here soon. For those who would ask why a 7ac? my response, why the hell not? lol
Great build series, been watching the whole series and just wanted a quick recap. I have an MR2 AW11 in need of a engine rebuild and I love venturing out into the wilder builds to see what the engine is really capable of. The whole series has been full of great tips and tricks too
Thanks mate, I love the AW11 and I hope your engine build goes well. Speaking of wilder builds I just uploaded a new video a couple minutes ago that might peak your interest.
1st vid... Great stuff definitely watching ur older videos soon... Im currently in the process of taking on a 16v build for the 1st time, so these educational videos are great.
Greetings from south africa , very late on this but better late than never. Currently working on a datsun 120y restoration and dropping a 4age forged turbo setup in it. Thank you for your video
Have watched a few of the videos, simply on algorithm recommendation. I’m working on my Subaru Vortex resto which is mainly collecting parts and refreshing a low power engine. Your videos are the right pace of customisation balance that give me a break from what I’m undertaking.
This is the first video I've seen of yours. I've been looking for info on the 7AGE because I'd like to build one to put in my Morris Minor. I'll definitely be watching your full build series on it.
I just found your channel a week ago. Really clean car, love the engine. I'm working on a TA60 Carina at the moment. 2T engine with a 4-speed, quite a moped at 75hp from factory.
Hey bud don't be discouraged the T series engines are stout I have a 1980 toyota te72 2 door and have 192hp to the wheels at 14psi on a super conservative tune.
Hey buddy, i watched though all your build and found your page after i herd about the 7age engine, i run a 4age 20v silver top in my race car and am looking at doing run a motor like this, youve inspired me really. so hoping in can get an enine like this in my ae101 levin. cheers mate, great job
Hey greetings from Chicago. I did a 7mgte swap in a 1992 Volvo wagon. It worked for 6 months till the oxygen sensor fried the igniter twice. My brother in Puerto Rico is working in his 1983 SR5 and rebuilding 7 rib block from a are 101 already in a ae86 body. He is been working in that for 15 years cause new things arise and new jobs and school and 3 girls. I always loved the truenos and by the way is thunder in Spanish. I bet now the neighborhood will start seen flashes of thunder when you pass by. That's a nice clean build. I'm in my 50 but still young at heart.
That’s excellent mate 👍 I can definitely relate to your brothers problems, life always gets in the way I also believe trueno means thunder in Japanese Thanks for the kind words bro😄
I found you through Instagram but before the beginning of the build, right now I’m working on a 71 T2 bus with my father, trying to save it if it even is possible. Great videos man, keep it up !
watched some 4ag projects and after 1 hour searching saw your video .. work on a daily project stock internals smallport RWD on corolla ke70 , completely deleted ecu.. twin 45s and trd specs handmade 38/42/45mm 4/2/1 headers!!! it aint much but its a honest bee. keep up man
I've got an ae86 i just restoed in Porsches non-metallic british racing green. Thinking of going with a similar engine build. Thanks for all the good info!
Cool build bro, definitely will keep that in mind. I have a 2001 Corolla hatch which is kinda the ugly duckling outta the Corollas but I reckon it has potential so I’m keen to go ahead and do a full build on it
That looks like a fun car. This is the first video I've seen from you, it was on my youtube feed somehow. I had a carbureted AE85 (1986 Corolla SR5 in the US) around 2003 or 2004 before they got expensive. It wasn't fast but it was very well-balanced, fun to drive, and good fuel mileage.
That sounds really cool it’s a shame that you had to sell it, I was lucky enough to stumble across a 20v ae86 when I was in Colorado a few months ago, it was interesting seeing a left hand drive one and the 5mph bumpers It’s nice to see UA-cam is still pushing out some of my older videos
This is the first video I have watched of your page and I can immediately say I am impressed by the quality and workmanship you put into your craft , I am a recently qualified petrol mechanic whom wishes to pursue my passion in cars , I am working to getting myself established in the motor trade and make a name for myself doing what you do , keep posting content please .
This is the first video I watched of yours, came here because I’m saving up for a Toyota MR2 for my first car and wanted to know some ways I could make more power later on in the build while still keeping it na. This is out of my skill level but it’s still super cool to watch! Definently gonna follow your build from now on.
Thanks for the feedback man, yeah I love mr2’s and you don’t need to go as crazy as I did 4age engines are heaps of fun even stock, I had a blast when I was running a standard 4a👍
@@NEVER-LIFT totally! The MR2 is such a wonderful Corning machine (once you can control snap oversteer) that I probably won’t even put any performance mods on it anyways and just clean up the engine and replace broken parts
Good stuff, just started watching because if the Pike's peak hill climb. Motor sound good. I still have lots of stuff from 20 yrs ago. Most of the prototype valve train have been sold years ago. But I love making, sorry loved making my own parts. I've got a bunch of stuff, not yet together to stretch that 7a to 2125cc
first time watching, im usually a field tech working on loaders and dozers during the day but i have a 93 corolla thats calling me in the night now after seeing this
Awesome videos. I enjoy na builds.. the guys racing the 4age's here put a 200 air corrector jet in the oil gallery to the cams. It helps the oil over filling the tappet cover
Heeeey this is the first video I’ve seen from you. Super late to the party lol. I’m actually restoring an 89 240sx hatchback. I’m taking the hard way out by custom fitting a late 90s accord engine into it. Running a F23/F22 DOHC non vtec engine with OBX ITBs. It’s getting to be tricky to convert the engine to be a longitudinal running engine but so far my build is part of my childhood dream and im having a blast with it. I’m 33 years old now and finally starting this build.
Hey niko, sweet build! I came here after listening to Matt's HPA podcast. Will hang around to listen to sweet 7AGE noises. I have an offroad buggy with a tweaked 4AGZE making a very stout 180hp at the wheels too, its currently eating custom axles for lunch so I need to work out how to fix that. Long term I have a dream to twin charge it for Group B esk noises, but it already wins the local races I enter :D
My future project is a 2.3l ecoboost swapped 82 mustang that came with an inline 6. Family member is gonna sell it to me. But I have a huge interest in performance 4 cylinders and Toyota has always been my favorite manufacturer. Love the 4age, 2zz, and 3s gte are my favorites. My current daily is a 1998 4runner with the 5vzfe which I just recently had to do a valve job on 😵💫
Awesome detailed step by step video mate, really love ya work and ur friend who built n tuned it, cool stuff. Waiting anxiously before I could start 2 projects of the 16v 4agze engine build, one is using 4agze stock build without the supercharger just N/A and other 7age build N/A as well to get it track run n later turbocharge it to put it on my ke30. Currently working on painting my ae100 corolla.
Wow that’s different, are you gonna bump up the compression ratio? Not sure how much fun a NA 4agze would be, you could get away with higher comp if you plan to run e85 when you eventually turbo it
@@NEVER-LIFT yeah something different, over time managed to collect as much as spares I could to be able to setup 4 different builds. Got two sets of 4age block and 2 sets of 7a block, so all will have different compression ratios, with having two 16v heads for the turbo setup and two 20v heads for N/A build. Just gonna do some fun tests b4 proving its reliable enough.
Just started watching your vids and catching up but like this one to give a brief intro to what a 7AGE is as I was asking that question. I always love corollas/AE86's and the 4AGE motor but remember back in the day didn't know or have options to do this block swap. I like torque so being able to get displacement simply is cool! I am driving a datsun 510 wagon with a 2.3 liter motor but like seeing and learning about other cars and motors as it's all intertwined.
Found your channel while looking at other Toyota engine build videos. I’ve got a 5s Camry with some mods/weight reduction that I’ll be retiring soon. My current project is a 1mzfe collectors edition Camry that’s about 85% done which will take its place very shortly. Looks like you’ve got a solid build going here! I wish the 5sgte / 1mzfe community had as many devout followers as the 4age does, we could benefit from more folks like you doing good work.
Wow that sounds cool Yeah us 4age guys have it pretty good also having good aftermarket support is nice too, do you need to make everything custom for your cars?
@@NEVER-LIFT we can get some aftermarket parts, more are available for the 1mz than the 5s. OBX still makes a lot of bolt ons. Forged pistons and rods are available for both but I’ve honestly never seen anything in the way of aftermarket valvetrain parts for either :/ one good benefit is spare engines are common and fairly cheap.
DEX CASINO well I guess a cheap base engine is a nice perk, sounds like you’re making the most of what’s available to you Maybe I’ll see your setup in a UA-cam video one day 👍
Amazing love the build I'm from South Africa and 4age 16v is so scarce. I have a series 3 16v which is the small port head on an ae92 it is the gli twincam , we don't have the car u built in SA. Motor really sounds great love it
i wish i knew as much about these engines as you do, my dad left me with his 85 corolla and i dream to let it have an engine like this one day, sick video 👍
Just stubled across your channel today, almost 10 years ago I bourght a ke70 and did a bigport swap. Ended up selling it because it was getting rusty. Kinda wish I still had it. My first car was an AE94 hatch, looking at getting another one and building a nice 7age for it, thinking about using the 20v head.
New to corollas. Had just read the Wikipedia page for toyota A engine and wanted to know if Blacktop 20v heads on 7a engines were a thing. Found this video which clears up alot of questions
Hey mate good video. Im a first time watcher of your channel. Will be getting stuck into the 8 part series to give me a hand building a 7agte with blacktop head and intake plenum through itbs. Will be installing in 1983 carina coupe sa60 with a w57 box and megasquirt ecu. Sounds like your 7age build series will provide some good insight. Thanks, Nick
😂 im from FL and here you see the usual suspects (3tc 2zz 3rz) and i never seen that combination To not bother do you have other vids about the 7a pros and cons?
This is my first video my friend. I currently have a fwd ae92 with a silvertop and I am in search of more. So looking at options. Wanting to stay na. But not necessarily hard core on staying age.
Just found your channel im just clicking video to video trying to get some ideas on what to do with my MR2 been thinking about getting a 20v and running the 16v while i build the 20 then swapping it in when its built then using the 16 for another future project might do what you did and get a 7a-ge and put the 16v on it
This was a great series to watch, so well documented and tons of good information. I'm considering doing a similar build for my AE112R, and I'll definitely be using these videos as a reference if that happens. How much do you reckon the engine cost you overall?
Thanks man, the engine owes me about $15k but you could probably do it cheaper if you don’t want all the extra bits like the sump, girdle, damper ect But I think if you’re going that far you might as well spend a little extra for piece of mind. Hope your build goes well man👍
upgrades for now so far stock head port and polish 4af , 4af 1.6 block flat head pistons oil cooler, 4-2-1 5ahfe headers stage 1 clutch kit borla pro 2.5 exhaust ,NGK bkr5 iridium spark plugs
Hey mate, just finished watching all your build vids and the big 4age build. Actually inspired me to pull the trigger and buy an engine. Picked up a 7age using a 20v silvertop head, with plans for boost going into a KE35. Was wondering if Matt would suggest going oversized valves on the 20v? Plans for a 2876 or 3071 wanting streetable boost ranges. It has been assembled but not ran so i'll be pulling it apart and making sure it's done right. Thanks for the content, very informative and greatly appreciated. From a fellow Niko
Hey thanks Niko I’m glad you like the videos. If you can afford to do your valves I’d say go for it 100% I think I remember mat saying that the valves won’t make a huge difference to peak power but you’ll pick up power throughout the whole rev range I’d say that’s where you’ll be driving it most of the time on the street so pretty beneficial
New sub. I've a stock ae112r that I want to learn about. Searched for 7AFE 4AGE difference and found your series and watched from the start. Really handy with method and recipe description, and like the finished feel of your production especially the musical interludes. Any updates on this likely after a year of play?
thanks for the great feedback mate I really appreciate it. the engine is still running strong and I plan to hopefully do some track day videos soon as an update, its just a matter of finding the time.
Hey bro I’m from Guyana South America and I have a AE100 levin that I want to start working on and I was hoping to get some guidance with the exact built you have
First video I've watched. Editing looks nice and good commentary. If you had to choose between a close ratio transmission or a 4.77 final drive to make the best improvement to the car, which would you choose and why?
Hey man thanks for the support, umm well I’m pretty happy with the gearing I’m running so don’t see myself changing it but if I was to I’d probably change the diff gearing just for cost effectiveness 🤷♂️
First time seeing your video. LOVE IT! I have a 7AGE engine but with an air flow meter. I also have an oil pan like yours that I have not installed yet. I have a 272 degree cams with HKS valve springs and standard size Supertech valves, TRD header. Factory ECU. I have a Megasquirt but I couldn't get it to work like I wanted..What ECU did use? Also Question- did you have any issues with oil pan clearance when you installed the engine?
is it possible you could make a video or reply to what youve bought to do this. i really want to do this with my 7afe but i dont know where to find all the things you mentioned
What country do you live in? This is wild but I'm intimidated to build a 7AGE for my AE92 Corolla in Australia. Going from a 4AF, I now have a 7AFE donor car but would like to give it all a tune up before it goes in the '92!
First vid I’ve found - love my 3,4,5K series engines. I’ve just purchased a 4AGZE, set up for twin 40’s. Wondering if I should keep that direction or change? Any insight!
Thanks man, if I was to do it again I’d stick to the 16v as I prefer it and the only thing I’d do differently is maybe a 9age stroker kit, dry sump and higher quality rod and piston combo but that’s only if I have the budget. But as for the engine we built I wouldn’t change a thing I’m stoked with the extra power and torque and I couldn’t afford all the extras I just mentioned above but super happy nonetheless
Quick question about the 4age girdles- What bearing caps do you run these with? Are you typically using stock caps braced by the girdle, or are there aftermarket caps youre running with them?
Stock caps are used but there was a lot of work done by Mat to be sure the clearances were correct. The girdle needs to be installed before the block goes to the machine shop.
Try to convert a ae92 sedan body to a RWD platform + sedan to coupe front end conversion for pop up headlights. Im planning to do this but im still broke to do it
I have a 7afe engine I would love to modify like that one but I would like you to just send me the link to where you buy all the parts... cause am going to have a problem getting them from where I am
I have a 7afe bottom end and a 4age small port head. Trying to build it on a budget.what other parts would I need for the top and bottom to work together
Mean vid bro I was wondering if u could put this engine in a 84 corolla sedan xl? Am keen on doing an old fav of mine up How much would a build like this cost? Thanx
i would really love to work on an ae86 in the future but by then there either to expensive for an 80shitbox corolla which i keep in mind so i mght actually go with what my people her would do and use a jeep
You got literally a dream spec engine. But i will swap a 3sgte in it. will probably be cheaper😅 I think your engine is with parts an labor around 10k? Its damn impressiv but i'm poor. Would be really damn cool if you show how to build a 7afe quick and cheap. Like i know that it needs rods and a flywheel. Which ecu would be reasonabel priced. And is there more to look out for?
yeah your about on the money for my build plus another 5k for bolt ons, beams are cool for sure especially with ITB's Ummmm I'm not really into any quick cheap engine builds, I've been there before and it always ends up costing more in the long run, as the old saying goes "the poor man pays twice"

I always thought that the 4ac was a single cam 8 valve why are you running 16v pistons then, or am i wrong?
Do u mean 4af? What country are you on?
Beautiful project what do you think about bolting a turbo on it?

Got two sets of 4age block and 2 sets of 7a block, so all will have different compression ratios, with having two 16v heads for the turbo setup and two 20v heads for N/A build. Just gonna do some fun tests b4 proving its reliable enough.
@@sargentnaiduakablade1697 sounds awesome man keep me posted 👍
@@NEVER-LIFT yep sure thing 🙂
Just started watching your vids and catching up but like this one to give a brief intro to what a 7AGE is as I was asking that question. I always love corollas/AE86's and the 4AGE motor but remember back in the day didn't know or have options to do this block swap. I like torque so being able to get displacement simply is cool! I am driving a datsun 510 wagon with a 2.3 liter motor but like seeing and learning about other cars and motors as it's all intertwined.
Thanks for the feedback, you never stop learning when it comes to cars.
Maybe you can make a 5 min video on the 2.3 litre Datsun motor, I’d watch it 👍
Hi Niko, I also listened to Matt on the HPA podcast. I had an 86 that I turboed in 1993, I have KE26 with turboed 4AG 275kw at the wheels.
Very cool
Found your channel while looking at other Toyota engine build videos. I’ve got a 5s Camry with some mods/weight reduction that I’ll be retiring soon. My current project is a 1mzfe collectors edition Camry that’s about 85% done which will take its place very shortly. Looks like you’ve got a solid build going here! I wish the 5sgte / 1mzfe community had as many devout followers as the 4age does, we could benefit from more folks like you doing good work.
Wow that sounds cool
Yeah us 4age guys have it pretty good also having good aftermarket support is nice too, do you need to make everything custom for your cars?
@@NEVER-LIFT we can get some aftermarket parts, more are available for the 1mz than the 5s. OBX still makes a lot of bolt ons. Forged pistons and rods are available for both but I’ve honestly never seen anything in the way of aftermarket valvetrain parts for either :/ one good benefit is spare engines are common and fairly cheap.
DEX CASINO well I guess a cheap base engine is a nice perk, sounds like you’re making the most of what’s available to you
Maybe I’ll see your setup in a UA-cam video one day 👍
@@NEVER-LIFT you probably will soon! I plan on making a second channel just for car stuff :)
DEX CASINO sweet let me know when you do
I am on your friend list as David Hachi. Been working on my car. You got nice vids.
Thanks man, I’m gonna keep trying to make them better
Amazing love the build I'm from South Africa and 4age 16v is so scarce. I have a series 3 16v which is the small port head on an ae92 it is the gli twincam , we don't have the car u built in SA. Motor really sounds great love it
Thanks mate, I've had a few people tell me these thing are very rare in South Africa. Maybe I should send a container full of engines over one day
Great work
Thanks man
thanks for the video, was fun to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it!
i wish i knew as much about these engines as you do, my dad left me with his 85 corolla and i dream to let it have an engine like this one day, sick video 👍
Thanks man, just stick to it and you’ll be teaching us one day
Just stubled across your channel today, almost 10 years ago I bourght a ke70 and did a bigport swap. Ended up selling it because it was getting rusty. Kinda wish I still had it.
My first car was an AE94 hatch, looking at getting another one and building a nice 7age for it, thinking about using the 20v head.
Very cool and I think we've all sold something we wish we didn't
New to corollas. Had just read the Wikipedia page for toyota A engine and wanted to know if Blacktop 20v heads on 7a engines were a thing. Found this video which clears up alot of questions
yes you can put a blacktop 20v head onto a 7afe block, thanks for the positive feedback mate
I love the part list .going to build a 7 age to put in my Alfa Romeo 156
Wow sounds unique 👍
Love it mate 👌
Cheers 😄
Yo wtf why did I now just find your channel. I been looking info on this build for the longest time
haha all that matters is that you're here now
I just uploaded a new video that you might be interested in too
Nice build! I have a 4age in the shed waiting to go into a 2door Toyota ke30. I just have to finish up my rx7 first :)
That sounds cool what series rx7 you building?
@@NEVER-LIFT It’s an -83 fb with 13b turbo and pretty much everything upgraded. You can check it out on insta, oldrusty7.
Jon Lundström oh cool I’ll definitely check it out
Hey mate good video. Thanks, Nick
sorry for the late reply, how did you go with your build mate sounds awesome?
what did you think of the series?
I just found this video and man i thought i seen it all
Beautiful build i have tons of questions 😂
Hahaha what questions do you have?
😂 im from FL and here you see the usual suspects (3tc 2zz 3rz) and i never seen that combination
To not bother do you have other vids about the 7a pros and cons?
Geez this car is pure awesomeness
Thanks man 👍
This is my first video my friend. I currently have a fwd ae92 with a silvertop and I am in search of more. So looking at options. Wanting to stay na. But not necessarily hard core on staying age.
very cool, I really like the k series too
just came across your channel im in the procces of building a 7agte ln65 hilux and few other builds too,
That’s sounds epic mate, thanks for the support 👍
Awesome build! I’m working on a 4age ke10 2 door sedan resto / mod
very cool, thanks man
UA-cam recommend one of your videos to me, I don't remember which video it was but I watched all of them that night! I'm in the Midwest of America.
Lol I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that.
“just one more video, it’s only 2am” 😂
I’m glad I’m the one keeping people up for a change lol.
Yeah apparently quite a lot of my audience is in the states, very cool
199niko199 at this point I'm really just trying to figure out how to get an engine from Matt and how to get him to the US for tuning? lol.
Left for Dread well it might be easier than you think, he does ship engines out to customers and he also tunes cars remotely online using any desk
199niko199 really!?! Is he on Instagram?
Watching from Jamaica I have 1992 Toyota levin gtz supercharge with a 4agze engine
Very cool👍
Just found your channel im just clicking video to video trying to get some ideas on what to do with my MR2 been thinking about getting a 20v and running the 16v while i build the 20 then swapping it in when its built then using the 16 for another future project might do what you did and get a 7a-ge and put the 16v on it
It’s a good option and you wanna be looking for a 7afe bottom end 7age is just a made up term us 4a nerds use
Great video, im gonna be doing this on my celica
Thanks, let me know how it goes
This was a great series to watch, so well documented and tons of good information. I'm considering doing a similar build for my AE112R, and I'll definitely be using these videos as a reference if that happens. How much do you reckon the engine cost you overall?
Thanks man, the engine owes me about $15k but you could probably do it cheaper if you don’t want all the extra bits like the sump, girdle, damper ect
But I think if you’re going that far you might as well spend a little extra for piece of mind.
Hope your build goes well man👍
upgrades for now so far stock head port and polish 4af , 4af 1.6 block flat head pistons oil cooler, 4-2-1 5ahfe headers stage 1 clutch kit
borla pro 2.5 exhaust ,NGK bkr5 iridium spark plugs
very cool mate
If you can afford to do your valves I’d say go for it 100%
I think I remember mat saying that the valves won’t make a huge difference to peak power but you’ll pick up power throughout the whole rev range
I’d say that’s where you’ll be driving it most of the time on the street so pretty beneficial
que excelente proyecto, donde puedo comprar la faja de tiempo para mi 7age
I Love My ToYota Corolla /Ceres really wanna build it into a rear wheel drive 🔥😎
yeah man do it
New sub.
I've a stock ae112r that I want to learn about.
Searched for 7AFE 4AGE difference and found your series and watched from the start.
Really handy with method and recipe description, and like the finished feel of your production especially the musical interludes.
Any updates on this likely after a year of play?
thanks for the great feedback mate I really appreciate it.
the engine is still running strong and I plan to hopefully do some track day videos soon as an update, its just a matter of finding the time.
have you ever considered taking the na 1jz-FSE it makes 250 with an intake and exhaust
Hey, I'm seeking some advice. I have a lexus is 200 shell right. Can I place a 7age built motor in there ?
Does it make sense ?
Just sub, found your video from Instagram, cool video dude, congrats on 1k subs btw
Lol you’re number 1000 I was actually watching it impatiently thanks man
@@NEVER-LIFT no problem
I’m actually gonna screen shot this and post it onto my Instagram story, it’s actually a huge milestone for me
@@NEVER-LIFT go for it bro, you deserve that. Its inspire me to this kind of stuff. Good luck bro, i'll see you at 10k

Hola saludos una consulta la correa de distribucion de cuantos dientes es 113?
Hey bro I’m from Guyana South America and I have a AE100 levin that I want to start working on and I was hoping to get some guidance with the exact built you have
Hey Niko nice build, what sorta dollars to get a silvertop or frankenstein build to around the 200rwhp mark ??
at least 10-15k but no guarantees because there's so many variables
Also Question- did you have any issues with oil pan clearance when you installed the engine?
wow sounds like an awesome set up man, I'm running a Haltech elite 1500 and my oil pan fit fine
is it possible you could make a video or reply to what youve bought to do this. i really want to do this with my 7afe but i dont know where to find all the things you mentioned
Ask a question What do you use for dispensers?
Is it possible to put one of those on a TOYOTA corolla ee90?
What country do you live in? This is wild but I'm intimidated to build a 7AGE for my AE92 Corolla in Australia. Going from a 4AF, I now have a 7AFE donor car but would like to give it all a tune up before it goes in the '92!
First vid I’ve found - love my 3,4,5K series engines. I’ve just purchased a 4AGZE, set up for twin 40’s. Wondering if I should keep that direction or change? Any insight!
Man I’ve never been a big fan of carbs but the beauty of building a car is you can do whatever you want
Are you running higher comp pistons?
I have a 2004 Golf 2.0. I would love to install a cam good enough to make 160 hp.
that sounds awesome
IAwesome build. if you doing this build again, would you do a 7age or BT/ST build?
Thanks man, if I was to do it again I’d stick to the 16v as I prefer it and the only thing I’d do differently is maybe a 9age stroker kit, dry sump and higher quality rod and piston combo but that’s only if I have the budget.
But as for the engine we built I wouldn’t change a thing I’m stoked with the extra power and torque and I couldn’t afford all the extras I just mentioned above but super happy nonetheless
What kind of timing belt you use? How many teeth its has.
Niice👍👍👍
Quick question about the 4age girdles- What bearing caps do you run these with? Are you typically using stock caps braced by the girdle, or are there aftermarket caps youre running with them?
Stock caps are used but there was a lot of work done by Mat to be sure the clearances were correct. The girdle needs to be installed before the block goes to the machine shop.
Would love to use 1 of those super damper on my build
Try to convert a ae92 sedan body to a RWD platform + sedan to coupe front end conversion for pop up headlights. Im planning to do this but im still broke to do it
Sounds pretty cool. More money would solve so many car guy problems 😅
@@NEVER-LIFT indeed, could be a good and unique experience too
Where can I get that adapter for the dampner
Hey i nées help i want to build/up engine fore my futur job. What advise/career fore me ??
I have a 7afe engine I would love to modify like that one but I would like you to just send me the link to where you buy all the parts... cause am going to have a problem getting them from where I am
There's something I don't understand.
Is the 7A-GE combination of the 4A-GE and the 7A-FE?
I have a 7afe bottom end and a 4age small port head. Trying to build it on a budget.what other parts would I need for the top and bottom to work together
My biggest hurdle was the water system but it also depends on what configuration 4a you have
Mean vid bro
I was wondering if u could put this engine in a 84 corolla sedan xl?
Am keen on doing an old fav of mine up
How much would a build like this cost? Thanx
thanks mate, depending on a lot of factors probably somewhere between 10k-15k
am doing a 4af build carbureted gold 15s NA
best time so far stock 16.7
i would really love to work on an ae86 in the future but by then there either to expensive for an 80shitbox corolla which i keep in mind so i mght actually go with what my people her would do and use a jeep
Do an 86 bro or a ke70 if you’re on a tight budget
@@NEVER-LIFT Yeah depends on the Philippine economy too on how I can afford it in the future by the time I can make actual money
You REEE it’s never easy good luck mate 👍
You got literally a dream spec engine. But i will swap a 3sgte in it. will probably be cheaper😅
I think your engine is with parts an labor around 10k? Its damn impressiv but i'm poor.
Would be really damn cool if you show how to build a 7afe quick and cheap. Like i know that it needs rods and a flywheel. Which ecu would be reasonabel priced. And is there more to look out for?
yeah your about on the money for my build plus another 5k for bolt ons, beams are cool for sure especially with ITB's
Ummmm I'm not really into any quick cheap engine builds, I've been there before and it always ends up costing more in the long run, as the old saying goes "the poor man pays twice"
Im working on a h23a 1995 Honda Accord
would love a 7age block let me know
All love yo
I'm thinking putting one of these bad boys into a jet boat... What you think?
I think you know the answer to that question 😂
