This is what’s frustrating about UA-cam sponsorships. It erodes any trust subscribers have in even their favorite UA-camrs.
UA-camrs tell us how much their followers mean to them for supporting their channel, then flat out lie to us about the quality of a product to collect a paycheck. Then as soon as the paycheck stops we hear “Well it wasn’t that great of a product anyway”.
So how are we ever supposed to believe anything you say anymore about any sponsor? Is Raycom actually as awesome as you claim? Or are we going to hear their earbuds aren’t that great once they stop sponsoring you also?
No matter how much you love a UA-camr’s channel, you cannot believe anything they say about a sponsored product. Only unsponsored videos have any validity whatsoever.
Yeah the fact that he turned on a dime to immediately praise this company does not inspire confidence. He’s gotta keep the lights on but there was probably a better way to do this.

At my work, I recently had a big change and a health scare, and then I had trouble sleeping on top of having a really depressing nightmare - for some reason, this video put me at ease. The bubbly personality of these videos is really uplifting, and I'm glad Kim talks as much as she does now too, compared to the older vids.

I mean, the shakers don't need to be thrown out, their still probably really useful shakers. If yoy don't like the Gfuel branding, you can always use some rubbing alcohol with a high ABV to remove the g fuel branding from them.

It’s because actions like this I became skeptical years ago and now when a UA-camr does a sponsor spot I just take it as “they have to pay the bills to keep rolling out the content”. Basically I became desensitized and don’t take it personally anymore.
Change even if its change that you started is never easy to adjust too. The last few years have been tough on everyone. Just make the content you want to make and we'll be here.

100% correct. But he's a content creator, not a business man. He's likely making well over 500k per year, so he should have someone in his life who can advise him on these matters; he can easily just pay someone with significant experience to consult. If he actually dug into his contract with Gfuel, I bet he might see some verbiage about defaming the sponsor. Since he's so against their brand, he might want to go ahead and give them every dollar back that they gave him. They might just sue him for that and more anyway now.

Right now I’m feeling a little down I have an aweful bacteria that caused me to temporarily lose sight on my left eye so it’s been hard. I had just finally gotten my switch oled (I had a switch light but gave it to my daughter cause I discovered she’s a gamer) and so it’s been hard playing my oled with one eye. I’ve been somewhat depressed but seeing your videos it cheers me up. If it's acceptable to show off a PhD, it's acceptable to show off other important achievements. Glad you have them and, who knows, 10 mil could happen. I think your content could make it happen eventually. As they say, never say never. However, I wouldn't make that the entire focus because that's additional stress. I, at least, appreciate purple being their authentic selves and having fun.

For the gaps on the wall, idk if you take scenic photos when you travel, but if so, maybe put a few into some nice frames with borders in them and put them up? Like if you have a good shot of one of the beaches you love from Australia, or a cherry blossom lined street from Japan, etc.

I think I understand what you mean. I haven’t worked sense 2017. I took a lot of time to focus on school and after experiencing a number of family energies it took a tole on me. I had to take a break from school which was great but I’ve been ready to get out the house. I ended up getting a new job and I’ve been so happy but it also been causing my some anxiety. As if I was gonna loose this opportunity I just gained. I’ve just been trying to encourage myself every time I feel freaked out. Deep breaths and positivity.

Yeah I don’t think he realized how painfully tone deaf and shallow his scorched earth sponsor switch was. Especially admitting he immediately looked for a replacement. For such a great job on many videos this was really poorly executed.

Then he had to say it wasn’t that good. Well at one point it was great and the best. That’s what turned me. If he would have just stuck to the first part and then introduced a new sponsor that would have been fine. When the sponsor leaves will he say it was also bad? He should have edited this.

Why not create a seamless wall of Switch game cases that have your favorite cover art? A bit of sticky tack on each of the back 4 corners should be enough to hang them while also allowing you to remove them as needed without damaging the walls or the case itself. That way you kill 2 birds with one stone: you have a place to put more games and you can display the artwork you like instead of just the standard red spine.
Maybe even arrange the rows by the cover art's main color and create a rainbow effect.
