Delicate removal of the trim like a surgeon, using a club hammer to remove an important organ 😁 Pure class mate. As always Tim an excellent tutorial with the obligatory foot tapping. You fail to disappoint 👍
Just done mine - some learnings from me (pre-facelift): 1. Take the headlight out to do the installation. Just bite the bullet and do it. 2. Do them one at a time - if your headlights are lined up properly, do the first one and line it up against the other, then do the second and line it up against the first; you've always got one that's correct. 3. The supplied bezels make the projectors too big to fit properly, so don't use them; get the E46 surrounds with some adapter rings. Another 15 quid, but they look LOADS better (stock, in fact). 4. If your kit comes with an H7 plate, don't use it - it doesn't leave enough thread sticking out to screw the backplate on (which is a shame). 5. Push the locking spring partway through before you screw the backplate on; you can't bend it enough to get it through once the plate is screwed down. 6. Have some "normal" H1 bulbs standing by for MOT day - you never know!
@@ukdroneking After a few days of nice weather, I decided to light a bbq today. Surprisingly it started pissing down half way into cooking… can you believe that? 😮
@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I find that very hard to believe 😆 The forecast here today says 24 degrees no rain so off I trot soon as I got to my location for flying the drone pissed it down and thunderstorms 😑 🌧😫
From the MOT guidelines, you only need headlamp washers if the lights are MARKED as 2,000 lm or higher; if there are no markings, the headlamps are just treated as "normal", and the headlamp washers are not considered to be required. (I'm wondering how you ended up with headlamp washers on a halogen car, tbh!)
Dunno, my dad’s old E28 528i he had when I was a kid had halogens, and that had little washer and wipers on the headlights! I’d love a decent e28. I had one a few years ago but it was past its best.

You've got to be very careful when ordering bulbs for these - they've got to be VERY thin because the projector back-ends have small openings, and they are too thick to be modded by grinding material away.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos If your LCM software version is new enough you can just tell it to ignore all the bulb checks and error messages; I got a v4.0 off ebay and it let me do a full LED conversion on every external bulb.
