My wife is a therapist, and I've just shown her this vid. She's said that Mono is off the charts on the autistic / introvert scale - hates being interviewed / avoids eye contact. But the guy is just an absolute genius - and does his talking on the bass. Which is the way it should be. Love hearing him play...
So he's just like me, and by the way I also play the bass guitar

I get the feeling MonoNeon literally just received this instrument, and was tryna to familiarize himself when you asked for the interview. You know how it is when you're out on a first date and tryna get acquainted: You don't wanna to be bothered by outsiders irregardless of how nice they may be. I'd like to hear MonoNeon play this bass once he's broken it in, think its gonna be fun...

IMHO he's not 'cool' at all. He's just MonoNeon, and that's the point of it all.
What is it shy or autistic or maybe ADHD or being colourblind, you'd need to be to play a bass that bright, I can only assume your either his manager , agent or a relative to be so sure.
Gotta agree with modifiedcontent here. I've seen another interview with him and he's clearly extremely socially awkward and perhaps autistic to some degree, which would explain his highly unique playing style too. Considering all that, he actually comes across as very polite.
He's shy. I'm really shy myself and people get the impression that i'm aloof and arrogant, but really I just avoid people because people terrify me and my "aloof" behavior is to protect myself.
