This was my wedding song for my wife and I. I played it for her and made her listen to the lyrics while we were dating. Its how I still feel towards her 20 years later.
Read about James Hetfield of Metallica, the lead singer, the demons he fought, the suicidal tendencies he had. CLIFF Burton a band member, died on the tour bus, and they sank into a deep deep place.the bassist seen in video is Jason Newsted he Replaced cliff but felt he never held a place in Metallica because of Cliffs tragic death, it plagued then for decades.
Dave Mustain was almost their lead guitarist. He played for about a year 1982 and 1983. "Nothing Else Matters" was released in 1992, before the internet became a thing.
6:27 Well done on checking out the paper. Not many do. Metallica's in the Library of Congress, with "Master of Puppets." 6:58 "𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘴." People who are not (meticulous) might be considered today, but may not be remembered tomorrow. Metallica's unlikely to be forgotten! Elton John called this one of the best songs ever written. It is, certainly in its genre! 🎶🤘
Metallica will always be the #1 metal band out of them all! They're so iconic, kinda like Michael Jackson, Muhammad Ali, Donald trump, Martin Luther king, John f.Kennedy, They're just something you can't forget.
It’s awesome to see younger gens finding out about the music that preceded them Love it. Flawd is awesome though! Not only can he spit (w/SKILL too, genuinely impressed by him, Knox, Knight, others) but he truly appreciates skilled music, even if it’s not his “type” (-wait wait, my bad; I love Knight’s breakdowns, but does he flow himself? Ofc I can find out, but jst asking)
This video is from a full length 2 part movie/documentary called "A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica". It's a real treat to watch. It follows the band (in Part One) with the making of the Black Album. And (in Part 2) i follows them on tour around the world. I highly recomend it. ❤🤍💙
Hard for people nowadays to imagine what an impact this song had when it came out back in the day... A metal-slow and a bomb at the same time? That was unheard of...
unpopular opinion: I feel this song is a bit overrated. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good song, but I feel it’s a little uncharacteristic for Metallica, maybe it’s just me liking thrash metal era more than the heavy metal era, but nonetheless, it’s my opinion and if you don’t like it, oh well then
