Making A Live Edge Clock

  • In this video I take a piece of Walnut slab and turn it into this unique looking clock! I wrapped the edge with steel and used the inventables X-Carve to do the engraving and cutting of the circle.     This is so cool. It would also look cool with a colored clear epoxy in those voids with a hidden light on the back. GREAT JOB!

    Nice work. When you make something yourself and it has a story to it, it has so much more meaning (as I'm sure you know). Anybody can go out and buy something, but to build it yourself is an indescribable feeling. Very nice...

    I see woodworking is an expensive hobby cause it's all about having the right tools! Thanks for this great video. Was curious if me making my own live edge clock can be less pricey than buying on Etsy. Though supporting artists is nice too. Luckily there's a woodworker near me who specializes in local live edge wood.
