    I lost my older brother last month, an accident,on his 27th birthday before Christmas.. worst thing I’ve ever experienced ever. I’ve been f**k since. Your videos.. are really helping. I want to be as strong as my brother was, I can’t keep moping around. I need to be something that he knew I could be. His standards of me were higher than I had for myself. Your videos are just helping me realize that, he had said some similar things to me that you’ve have said so it hits home hard af. 6 months from now I’m going to be something,I owe it to myself and to make my brother proud because I know he’s watching me. Keep making videos, you will help millions like me. From bottom of this strangers heart I thank you. Really.

    Chi, you are the only self improvement person I watch now. I cant stand all the "5 tips to be better fast" for the people who want insta gratification. Your videos help me learn a lot about how to be more masculine and how to actually self improve the right way with no BS. I appreciate you, thank you.

    Practice makes perfect, but to be able to put that to work, you need willpower, you need discipline and have a true purpose, something you genuinely want to achieve into your life.
    It might be too much, it might feel like it will take forever, you will feel little...
    But by practicing a bit every day, is way better than nothing, then you gradually improve and do more, more and more.
    Consistency is the key for everything.
    Edit: I feel very identified with 9:35 about "How I'd feel about X if I didn't quit it and kept it going" , that one was really good and it reminded me of those days I used to workout with my father when I was 11... I did for about a month, but then I quit it, I'm 22 now and I started working out at home in 2021.
    It would be crazy if I kept working out since then because it would have been more than 10 years of workout and I am hella sure I'd be looking far better right now.

    I was in a rut for the better part of 2-3 years. I only recently started to truly find myself and begin to make the changes necessary in my life. I've been down the rabbit holes and seen everything that the "self improvement" space has to offer but your content is different. My dream is to make content and help young people like my past self. I aspire to create messages like this one. You are going to do amazing things.

    Chi, great content. Solid delivery.
    At the end of your videos, could you consider adding 30 seconds or so 'reflection' time, perhaps fade out the video and smoothly increase the volume on the music.
    Even if you are on your purpose, you have ups and downs. Seasons, as it were. Fresh perspectives are valuable. Im glad to have found your channel.
    Keep it up.

    Never skipped 2 days in a row without exercising for a year and 2 months. Lost around 11 KG of fat and became way better. Also, I recently started MMA. I only hang out 4 times a month. Got many good habits like reading and journaling and learning a new language (now I speak 3 different languages) but what really bothers me is that some days I work for only 3 or 4 hours (deep focused work) on my business and feel like an absolute failure. It really makes me feel like I'm in the worst rut ever bro I don't know what to do. It really makes me feel so down I start to hate working. I used to play for 6 hours straight I swear yet I haven't touched a single video game for more than I year. But I really want to know why it feels so down when I can't work for more than 6 hours a day. I know I can do way more. If I really speak to you as brother to brother, I never felt like giving up yet it really feels so down sometimes I try to take a day off just from how bad it feels. In the last month, it has been happening really a lot. I really need to know what's wrong.
    Great video btw!

    • @chiyinde
      @chiyinde  8 місяців тому

      This is a common problem. You have high standards for yourself. I feel the same. You need to take a step back and reflect on how far you’ve come, bro.
      1 year ago, you’d be suprised that you could even do 4 hours of deep work per day. If you’ve read the book, you’d know that that’s the upper limit for most people anyway.
      Don’t think that more hours = better. Focus on making the 4 hours as effective and efficient as possible. I think it’s good that you want more, but you’re trying to increase the wrong metrics.
      Surely there are other areas of your life that can be improved: sleep, diet etc. Once you dial these in and take a more holistic approach, you’ll notice you’ll be able to work for longer, if that’s what you really want.
      Focus on cleaning up your lifestyle and staying consistent and your work ethic will inevitably improve with time. But you can’t force growth, it will happen, gradually - as long as you don’t give up.

    Brother your videos are amazing incuraging uplifting I'm 40 some married and lonely I work long hours my wife works long hours we don't get much time together I gave up she stays stuck on tictok and social media I could be having an affair and she wouldn't know but I like your video how you say you have to make the best of it I always want to get up and reinvent myself but I end up quitting over and over your words and like strength to me thank you and I'm humble to listen.

    • @chiyinde
      @chiyinde  8 місяців тому

      So amazing to know there are people like you watching my content.
      I have no idea how difficult your situation is, but I genuinely believe, if you use the little free time you have left to ‘reinvent’ yourself, you can reignite the chemistry between you and your wife.
      I think it’s exciting if you make it your mission to make her head over heels in love with you again.
      Again, i’m not in your situation so I may be giving this advice from an ignorant perspective. But the truth is, if you don’t make some changes, you will essentially live the rest of your life in a mediocre marriage.
      I believe in you brother. You know what you need to do. 40, even in my eyes, is very young. Start working on yourself and treating your wife as though she is a new woman who’s heart you’re trying to win for the first time. Make her feel loved and wanted, make an effort to organise dates etc… I guarantee she won’t choose tiktok over spending time with you.
      Again apologies if none of this advice is practical.
