Welcome back, we've missed you both. My autistic son is 26 and I still serve his plates out of habit, thanks for the reminder that he could be learning to do that for himself too. I hope this summer goes much better for you two.
Kaidale has grown up and matured so much!!! As a fellow autism mom, im so proud to see him walk up on stage for his graduation ceremony!! He's an absolute inspiration and gives me so much hope for my kiddo seeing how he has really found so many interest!! I know we dont see the hard times but i know those moments are their and u are doing a great job Kaitlin!! ❤

Such a great update! Can't believe how big K is now! Hope the hammering has been a great outlet for him & look forward to more videos from you, but don't pressure yourself to add more to your plate! Taking care of yourselves always comes first! ❤
I started watching a few years back I am a high functioning special needs adult with no children but I have a love for advocating for special needs. A year ago my cousins came to me and said if anything happens to us will you take care of our daughter. The year prior I spent watching my goddaughter grow but not hit her milestones as a baby typically would. She was diagnosed with Autism by her 2nd birthday that little girl has taught me patience, kindness, and LOVE!! She’s thriving and doing things on her own terms! I celebrate every milestone with her
He's so tall!! Wow what a difference one year makes! I can see he's maturing and growing I guess that's what happens to our little baby boys! LOL His Curls are still poppin' and Momma is still as beautiful as ever! Glad to see the update and to know you've taken the time you felt you and Kaidale needed away from the cameras. 💙🩵
Way to go kaidale what amazing progress, kaitlin idea for you to try out buy flat pack furniture and colour code the screws and holes in advance then let kaidale put it together with the drill screwdriver or get random bits wood mark out where holes need to be drilled in order to connect bits together to build your own quirky things and then let kaidale drill and screw or hammer nails in to build things, also look into woodwork classes or courses that kaidale could do either as part of school/college or as work experience maybe he be good at DIY with little more guidence and teaching, also you could use the claw of the hammer or crow bar to remove the nails from the wood to reuse them

Hey, I've missed you guys, welcome back! Good to see and hear that you're both doing ok. Just a thought - as Kaidale loves hammering nails and he's artistically inclined, how about combining both activities to make nail art (it is a thing) and selling them at craft fairs or online. He might have to start with pencil drawing on wood at first and following those lines with nails but it could help him with focus and earn him some money. Looking forward to more vlogs. 😊😊

I hope you get to do everything that you want to do and now that you're debt-free and things are going good you can take a little bit of a break. But just even do 1 15 minute video a week where you just let us know how you're doing and what happened even if you don't think it's very exciting that would be so amazing and cool because we feel like we want to stay in touch with you and see how you're doing and just follow like we're neighbors or something. No pressure.

@@Kaitlin_and_Kaidale I Love watching you & Kaidale on your videos. I used work in a Special Education/residential school with Autistic kids on the spectrum. K is very sweet & thanks to your patience & teaching him to be as independent as he can with the right amount of limiting him on tablet watching & praising him when he does things on his own. You're a single Mom & that's difficult as it is. But, you're doing an amazing job with him on a daily basis. I'm not a Mom, but I think if you're under a lot of stress, see a Mental health therapist just to vent out your frustrations & feelings. It may help. If you already have someone to talk with, then that's fantastic!
From what I understand and have learned about autistic people is that regression is normal. He will pick up those skills again as he’s done and will be just fine!

Is his communication progressed or regressed? Does he ever use more complex sentences or just a couple words here n there. What will the homeschool program be like? Does it include social activities? How is his reading/writing skills? Do you want him to learn typing in the future?

So so happy to see you two. Your like me, always keeping up with our kids. Except I'm 50... lol Our Autistic 8 year old got her training wheels off (last year we were just too busy to work in biking, that's on us) and now she's unlocked this new independence and skill and now I'm racing to keep up to her and try to teach road safety lol. We took our first trip to Disney world and fell in love with Florida. We can't wait to go back. I agree with you that kids learn by doing. You're amazing mama!! Hope to see more updates.
Need to call a construction company asking if you can go to a job site at the end of day for their thrown away lumber. You would be surprised how much they get rid of.
