    ABS wheel sensor line should be removed and placed in a cushioned place, it s located near the front, which is the other side of the brake lines. If you bang on stuff while it’s attached they are known to break and cause a limp mode on your engine until replaced. I broke 2 replacing wheel hubs.

    Or put the wheel back on with out the centre cap, lower vehicle back to the ground, then try and remove centre axle nut

    @royquesada5295 5 місяців тому

    Shaft nut is easily loosened while tire is on and sitting on ground if it still has the original rims

    Are those bolts that hold the strut to the axle designed to adjust camber? Did they have an oval cross section such that rotating the bolt changes wheel alignment?

    • @KBrosAuto
      @KBrosAuto  9 місяців тому +1

      Yes, one of then does I believe it's the top bolt.

    3:23 is there a clip on the transmission side of the axle ? My 03 forester, the drive axle fell out when I took the hub off to change the wheel bearing. I'm thinking that might be some type of retainer mine is missing. I wonder if that little part broke ? IDK.

    • @KBrosAuto
      @KBrosAuto  Місяць тому +1

      Yes, there should be a ring-shaped clip near the end on the transmission side.

      @@KBrosAuto thank you ! it is part number 28333SA000 (03 Forester, driver side). - But what helped me the most was seeing the hammer to gently reseat the axle...it's IN ! Now to accomplish lunch and finish the job !

      I'd recommend the extended travel version of the axles; they offer a little more flex for the lift. Every little bit helps it run better and last longer.

  • @pnw8836
    @pnw8836 Рік тому

    Is this the only axle issue you’ve had since the lift? Wanna do a 2 inch lift on my 05 but I’m worried about constantly dealing with CV boots ripping lol

    • @KBrosAuto
      @KBrosAuto  Рік тому +1

      The boot was actually ripped before the lift, so far no issues with the lift, I wouldn't go over 2in.

      @@KBrosAuto okay that’s good to hear! I forget in your lift video, did you get a slightly taller spacer in the back to deal with rear sag?

      @@KBrosAuto Hey if you see this, were you able to remount the stock sway bar links? I've heard of people getting adjustable end links when lifting their foresters because the lift increases the distance of the connection points, and some people either can't reconnect the old ones, or end up snapping a link because the new connection is too tight

    • @KBrosAuto
      @KBrosAuto  Рік тому +1

      @@pnw8836 I did not and it worked out fine, some people do especially on the older models, and I've heard that works well too
