At 39 years old watching this movie a million times, I'm just now realizing that Caption Cole was different 😂 hell Claria her girls, half of the cast, I was 8, 9 watching this, they tricked me 😢😮😂😂

@@jimh6813 Great story of course, great actors, James Garner plays a good Capt. Call. To me , not as much heart/soul as orig LD(hard to beat the chemistry between Gus and Call-even comedic at times!), BUT, definitely worth the watch if you like westerns and LD in general.

Tommy Lee Jones was a better Captain Call he had a stronger look to him . He was bigger . John Voit smaller and weaker doesn't stand out as much. His presence is not as commanding. Lou Gossit Jr. R.I. P.

I just can't get into this. There's too much wrong with it. Captain Call is a little bit too young and Claire in Nebraska is definitely too young. Now we have the fiddle music drowning out the dialogue. Can't understand what they're saying because of that and heavy accents.
Not as good as the first movie but watchable. As far as Oliver Reed goes, I liked him better in (Treasure Island). Still probably the better actor in this script than John Voight.
Not really, many were cowboys many buried on Boot Hill. Dodge City has a museum and shows women gunfighters, many things we would not expect of women those days. It is a tourist place that was built like Gun Smoke Dodge. Interesting place.
I have seen this movie with my dad ... What I would give. to be watching Lonesome Dove together.....best memories. I can't watch right now. Thank you

You should also check out Comanche Moon and A Long Walk..they are prequels to these 2 series
