Success is never around the corner. It’s years and years of a marathon where you don’t look at the corners for success, but how just focus on the goal gets you there.
This is after 25 years of working on many creative endeavours.
It’s a marathon, with Sprints in between.
But I agree, it’s really hard to decide on what to do next when there is so much you could be doing.

I also thought about this, spending an hour with your kids making a sandcastle together is worth more than buying them a gift and watching them open it for 5 minutes before going back to "work"...
