Hi I'm new to your videos and I really appreciate your help do you have any plans for making this back extension all the very best and take care yours konrad
Hehe bit over the top there I think. We all start somewhere mate. Knowledge and experience comes with time. And woodworking is a vast topic to learn. I consider myself as a beginner.
Thank you Tomasz! Rage 5-s is by far the best saw for a DIY-er and jobsite projects. Bought one after in depth comparison between Rage-5s and Makita MLT-100N. Rage 5 is VERSATILE at first (cuts metals, plastics and wood with one blade - nobody else offers that!) then compact, sturdy, POWERFUL (lot bigger torque than in competition, have cut pine 14x14x400 cm beams on two 7x14x400 cm halves as a butter), very good fence with front and back support (Makita desn't offer that), sliding table with mitre gauge that offers more than enough accuracy for construction purposes (If you need to make a photo frame obvoiusly you make a sled) and what you forgot is that you receive very solid saw stand IN STANDARD (Makita needs extra stand) wich without problem handles two people on board (I was amazed that it does). Not to mention that riving knife is easily lowered to make mortises and tenons (on others you just can't cut mortises with the riving knife installed!), easy blade access, 120x60 cm work space, foldable and whealed for easy transport and storage, cuts even stone with a proper blade (which I did 😀) and it's unbeatable in advantages/price. Simply the best saw. Does have some issues, but they stand very low by what you get for that value. In mine also installed a soft start and in deed missed outfeed support. As you said proper adjustments are crucial and are first thing to do according to the manual! Precision cutting needs additional actions and accessories (good blade, sled, zero clearance insert and properly aligned fence) I truly love this saw and I recommend it to anybody looking for a good machine. As a polish DIY-er I'm amazed and stunned out that your shop reminds me mine in terms of equipment, used tools etc. I use Rage 5-s saw, R255SMS DB mitre saw, that are both simply great, have very similar jointer to yours and what makes me laugh the most is that last year I bought exactly the same folding supports in a local market without any special idea on them. Now I definately have one. 😄 My very first plan to an outfeed support was to install it from the bottom of the main table in the same way that the left side sliding support is mounted. Recently I even made an extra metal table to built in a table saw, router, jointer and a workbench for assembly. Don't have time for it now but maybe I'll get back to it this summer. Tomasz pozdrawiam Cię z Polski! 🙂 Trzymaj tak dalej.

Hehe thank you, got a selection of those scattered around the workshop. I used to make them from plywood 😁👍 now it's like they are from gold when you consider the price of ply 🤣
@@CasualDIY Brilliant thanks. The brackets I ordered came today and are 300mm. I’m thinking of doing a hybrid of this now though to have a longer, removable extension. I’ll make the mount as you show but instead of mounting the brackets on it make a channel on it to slot the table into and use a bracket for a fold up leg that extends.
Since I seen your review of this product and the extension for Router, I just bought this Rage-5 S for my DIY projects. Great addition to any table saw Tomasz, saves your work dropping off the back on to the floor or having a fixed take off table taking up floor space. Tony
Hey Thomas, great video again mate 👍 I had the screwfix version of the 5s and felt it was time to upgrade, im only mentioning it because the saw I've got was a great deal and thought u may be interested yourself if u fancied upgrading to, so I've got the Axminster ac216ts which has the cast iron top 😁 and best part is they have it on sale for €565 an absolute bargain if ur interested, oh and I sold my saw for €300 mate so not a big outlay at all 👍🍺
Thanks, at the moment I can't afford materials for my projects not to mention upgrading any tools. So at the moment I'll be making mods to the tools I already got.
Sure you can, just spread the brackets more apart. You could use the router box to mount one bracelet on it. Usually for what o do that size will be fine for me and that was the largest board I had in my workshop that I could use for this project 🤣
Nice, i've been looking at outfeed table options, as i'm fed up with messing about trying to use my folding workmate. Until the prices went silly, I was tempted to remove the entire metal framework and build the saw into a multi purpose cabinet along with my router, but like many things atm, that's currently on the backburner, so this is a nice, and more importantly affordable option until the world starts making sense again...lol
Im in the same boat mate. Had so many projects for the workshop and the house but I just can't afford the materials. Not sure when or if they will go down in price 🤔

At the moment it's Freud but usually Saxton or Trend.

Hi Tomasz, what are the length of your brackets? They look quite a bit bigger than the 250mm ones you linked.
They are 400mm but they don't have to be that long. Shorter brackets will be as strong 👍 I would go for what's cheaper
