I feel like they could still have an extravagant wedding but with limited people, so Shane doesn’t get overwhelmed and Ryland still gets all the beautiful wedding stuff, and could even vlog organising/decorating/cake tasting/outfits etc. At the end of the day you only need the most important people in your life there, even if it’s just family.

i mean, i'll take what i can get but it's truly so *nice* to get the most real version of shane (w/out all the forced, pre-laughter snorkels, endless distractions, constant goofiness any time anything remotely intimate, emotional or real comes up) even if it only happens for about 4 or 5 mins out of 46.
Shane and Ryland should just do their vow exchange in private, then walk into an intimate reception with their closest people. Then the vulnerable moments are reserved just for them to help with Shane's anxiety, but they can experience all the fun that comes with the wedding pregame, ceremony and after party.

This is going to sound super weird, I am still on the fence with the whole Shane controversy (redeemable or not) but I impulsively decided to watch these recent videos, and just seeing their family interact and crack jokes, just being a family really gave me a sense of warmth. My long-term committed boyfriend and I broke up not too long ago, I come from a broken family, and when we started getting close over 6 years ago his family was a sense of security and they accepted me as one of their own instantly. Since the breakup, I have been missing him, his family, and the dynamic we had for all those years and it has really made me feel alone during this holiday season. Regardless of everything, fucked up and all, these videos gave me a wonderful distraction for a while thank you for that.
