I have been praising his work since I was 9yrs old in 1983. The 1st Prince song I ever heard was Little Red Corvette on my record player I got for Xmas. I was thankful to my mom and dad for getting me one but there was a small issues...they didn't get me any records to play. I so badly wanted to use it so on Xmas night I snuck into my older sister's room and "borrowed" one of hers. I didn't see what I grabbed because it was dark, and I didn't care, I just wanted to play something. That something was the released single little red corvette. And the rest is history. I am lucky enough to have lived 10min away from Prince's Paisley Park studio my entire life. I used to drop everything and literally start running to my car whenever he announced a concert there. He always like to drop concert announcements with only a few hours notice and he made you work to get in. If you got word early enough you could be in line at Paisley Park and get this close to him for the show. I got close enough to retrieve one of his guitar picks once. This video right here is the magic you would see everytime he played. I never left Paisley without feeling like i just witnessed a miracle. Damn, I miss it so much.
