First video to watch this morning! Newly retired. Slept in til 830...what a joy! Said morning prayers, got coffee, turned this on, cat settled into my lap to be petted, I sat and lingered and savored your trip....lovely to see.
@Shinichi's World
Four weeks ago my mother couldn't get out of bed without help. It was tough on her.
Videos like yours has rebuilt her emotionally a lot.
She can now take a few steps again.
I wish you all the best for your mum!
@@KitsuneHB Thank you very much! 🤗 My mother will be very happy to hear this! 😁
May your mother's health, mobility, and emotional wellbeing continue to improve. May your mother and you both be blessed abundantly. Take care and thank you for your heartwarming comment. 💜
Dear @@adamjohnson7047 thank you very much for your kind words! 😍 My mother will be very happy to hear this! 🙌
Wishing all the best for your mum❤️
Aloha from Hawaii 🌴
Loved lunch in the mountains. I’m retired, so when my husband comes home from work he’ll ask what I did for the day, I love telling him where I went… Lunch in the mountains in Tokyo AND the Venice of Japan Ine Kyoto!
I can't believe how blessed we are that you have chosen to share this experience with us. I'm sitting here alone in the basement at work, but I am visiting Mt Mitake with you. Thank you so much, Shinichi and Satoshi.
I can almost smell the fresh air. I love hearing the crunch of the fallen leaves 🍁 I feel like lm with you.
These are parts of Japan that I like to visit.
The thing I miss the most about Japan is experiences like eating in an interesting place or finding something while exploring the city or countryside. Tourist stuff is great and all but its the more intimate moments that really make Japan stand out to me.
Thank you for this spiritual and amazingly beautiful experience, Shinichi and Satoshi!
Sitoshi’s hair is growing again . He looks handsome.
I love hiking and Japan has such beautiful nature!
Nice 4km walk with fresh air!!! And a great meal!!!!! 🏃🏼♂️ 🥘 🍁 👍🏻
I have followed you two for approximately two years and this is by far my FAVORITE video! Wow, it is so beautiful. I could never have done that hike…too old. Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us. ❤️
Thank you for watching!
what a beautiful place thank you for taking us there
This brings back memories of my hike up Mt Mitake solo. The return trip really took a lot out of me. Thanks for this video!!
That' s a perfect day for a momiji-gari/紅葉狩り
this is really something special
I really like your videos, not only on this channel but also in i will always and tabieats. I can see how beautiful japan is, the view, people and also the food. Please keep making good videos guys. I dont understand why your subscribers are not increase rapidly, but i still keep supporting your channels 👍
This hike is so beautiful. Love seeing the momiji. I climbed that many steps in my twenties or thirties. Today, I would stop and rest like those people sitting on the bench. I'd use that as an excuse to stay at a ryokan there. That way I could go at own pace.
Your meal looked amazing. Do you think the two you would spend a couple of days there the future?
Thank you sharing this and the walking for me. 😁
That first place you stopped looked like a great place for a light meal/warming healthy soup.
What a fantastic place to hike. The colors are gorgeous.
Watching you guys climb and climb and climb is making my chest hurt and short of breath. Thinking about you having to walk back down makes me want to take a nap. It's very beautiful but very much work.
Thank you so much for this!! I keep saying Oh Wow! at every new view! I've always admired how much walking you do, but all that uphill was an awful lot even for someone as active as you! I'm glad Satoshi had you going up that ski lift because it was well worth it for us and, I think for you too!
Living in Japan is my dream come true. Unfortunately I can only dream about it!
Nick and I loved this video. We have fond memories of Mt. Mitake.
This was an absolutely gorgeous walk Shinichi. I love the mountains and trees especially in autumn when the leaves are changing and this video didn't disappoint on the beauty of nature. Then you found that cute little tea house. What a treat for you guys, that food looked delicious. And I was feeling for you on those stairs (that was alot of stairs) but worth it in the end.🏯😊
this is so beautyfull , because of your videos i m eager to see Japans beauties in real some time in the future. I dont know why but my heart settles so peacefully when i see the beautyfull villages and shrines ,, I love the traditional clothes and music. This all calmed me very well in that time of grief and isolation . Thank you so much ☺️
Hey guy awesome walk the beautiful trees the colors of leaves on it a lots of stairs a good workout enjoy this video love it take care stay safe 👍❤️🏵️😘🤩
I have an awful fear of heights, so thank you for sharing this adventure it’s stunning the colors are astounding!
Once again ,Thank you for such a lovely walk!!! Again I share this on my Oculus with patients at the hospital and it feels and looks like we are there, only difference is today it snowed here in NY.
It was such a beautiful place you shared with us and we bless you for it 🤟🏻
I'm so happy that I caught you live..I love all of your video's and you and Satoshi give me much-needed pleasure as I'm going thru chemotherapy and it's so nice to have you for my friends. ❤
I enjoyed everything about this video, the way you captured the beauty of the place, the discovery of that fantastic old house and the lunch. I felt I was there with both of you. Love, love you both.
What a magical, gorgeous place! And of course you found the hidden gem in which to have your meal. I was fascinated by the village perched on the mountainside. All I could think of was how fit those people must be walking up and down hills all day. 😊 I love to hike. In fact, the first trip I had planned to Japan was an "adventure tour" in which you hiked from one monastery to another in the mountains of Japan. Sadly, I didn't get to do that. But your video gave me a taste of what it might have been like. Thanks, guys! ❤️❤️
That was the coolest place and the food presentation was incredible.
I loved it! Beautiful place. I think you had the best choice for lunch. The food was beautiful. I would have been happy with just the soup! I had sympathetic legs with you when the stairs were just never ending! Lol. I do wish you would have a small simple breakfast. At least an egg and toast. Will preserve good blood sugar levels thru life, as well as the day.
Stunning scenery, what fabulous colours against the azure sky. Loved it.
Thank you so much for this video! Like you mentioned, I can’t be there. I had planned a trip for 2020 and still can’t go. I absolutely loved seeing the mountains and experiencing it like I was there myself.
I love your videos. You both make my heart happy! 💗
Thank you for taking us with you to the mountains. I know there is beautiful nature in Tokyo. I love this video, so relax and beautiful vieuws. The lunch looked very tasty and delicious. Thank you for sharing
That trail reminds me a little bit of Big Sur here in California. Lovely walk Shinichi, I'm sure this will be one of those videos I watch over and over again.
If I could I would give it two thumbs up! The scenery is gorgeous and that lunch looks delicious. I was planning to go to Mt Takao but I may reconsider.
Wow! What a beautiful hike to Mitake Shrine! 🍁🍂⛩🌞🗾 Thank you for taking us along! 🙏
You make the best Mount Mitake video
This video reminds me of some of your earlier Tabieats adventures. Wonderful to see you both exploring again.
Beautiful!!!
Missed the premier as I was at work but watched tonight. Thanks for taking us on this Mountain adventure, the scenery from the cable car and the walks were stunning on such a lovely day. A peaceful and relaxing journey . The food looked delicious 😋 and liked seeing the village and finally the Shrine. Fantastic video . Arigato for conquering all these steps well done 👍
That "oh goodness" when Shinichi realised they had to hike up the mountain 😂 It was a beautiful hike! Hopefully I can see it in person sometime!
Just beyond beautiful, tysm for taking us with you
Its very beautiful, I would not be able for the hike. Please love this
Wow, beautiful place! The hike reminds me of Muir Woods. But wow, soooooo many stairs! Yoku yatta! The food, omg, I imagining how it must taste. Beautiful thatched buildings. I'm also glad you pointed the camera up...so beautiful! My Momiji trees are confused this year...part red, part green, due to our temps. XOXO
Wonderful
What beautiful video. I truly admire you. I would have drop that camera half way up. ... Thank you for showing us such a beautiful shrine
I just LOVE the trails. So beautiful and it’s something I would love to do everyday if I were to live in Tokyo. Thank you for showing us the place.
Love the video Aloha from Las Vegas
What an awesome place hope to explore that next time in Japan.
A scooter coming down that trail? WOW. 🤣
Thank u for the nice ideo..Its very beautiful and i wish i could smell the fresh air up there..The stairs to the shrine though, I'm so into the video, I also catch my breath as u ascend🤭
I loved this vlog! I enjoyed hiking with you guys!
Enjoyed your video of Mt Mitake tour very much. Please do more of this type of video.
I'm not a hiker so I'll be out of breath climbing those steps. I guess I have to go back to long walks to build up my endurance like when I was in my early teenage years. I use to walk all over town and bicycle.
Love you from Oregon❤️❄️🎏🎊🥶🥰
This seems like a perfect way to spend a fall day.
What a wonderful day and place you shared with us!! Thank you so much Shinichi!! ♥️♥️♥️🙏
Shinichi, you made us feel every step of those stairs! Beautifully done.
Such a lovely lunch
It's a beautiful place
Thank you for the beautiful outing. It was so nice. I love it when you guys are spending the day together. Thank you again.
Finally coming back to Tokyo for the 4th time next February, and thank you Shinichi for showing me Mt. Mitake!! Already planning a day trip here!! :)
Excellent. Sublime lunch. Gorgeous day. -Took those breaths with you. You probably slept deeply that night. Much thanks, Shinichi.
Well done Shinichi and Satoshi that was worth the climb . So beautiful on the mountain , and they have hotels wow that's would be an experience staying there. So enjoyed the scenery. Thanks.
Beautiful place
Beautiful area. I would like to paint up at the shrine, but I'm not sure id be able to walk up those stairs.
WOW! Marveling that such a place exists in a metropolis. Appreciate the video-graph excursion.
Not being alone is worth missing some side streets.
Wow that was an incredible trek up all those stairs! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow how amazing color's on the tree's this was really amazing to see, and yes we did get snow this night in Kongsberg NORWAY. lovely weather too at your trip amazing sight too!!!
That cable car station and the ride up reminded me so much of my trip to Hakone a few years ago. Can't wait to visit there again.
Watching you both climbing the hills and steps gave mean asthma attack….but what beauty nature can be…thank you for sharing this excursion.. enjoyed the journey with so much interesting beautiful scenery.. take care..lhope your leg muscles will be okay…no pain…yaks that was a hike
Gotta check this out when I come to tokyo next week.
Enjoy!!!
Fantastic. thanks a lot, very nice.
Nice. Sorry I missed the live❤
Breathtakingly beautiful
Sooo pretty up there ♡♡♡...you had to be hurting SO bad the next day lol oh my goodness
Carmen and I went there early 2020 (before lock down) and it was gorgeous! We didn't get the colored leaves, but we got patches of snow.
The scenery s so pretty. Not what I think of busy Tokyo via my experience. I miss Japan.
So glad you guys are getting a "beauty break" - lifts the soul. I'm not a fan of heights so I can relate to that. Walking or run ing downhill can be hard on the shins, ankles, and knees. As far as being steady on a rocky path, the more you do it the better you get. I have light weight hiking poles that fold up and when I'm uncertain of the terrain I use one or two. I didn't see anybody in your video using them, must not be the thing to do in Japan.
What a great Fall day trip. That meal looks amazing. Creamy konnyaku you say, Satoshi? That I gotta try!
Will make sure to wear really comfy shoes if I visit Mt. Mitake. Such a beautiful place!
So beautiful love hiking mahalo for beautiful walk with you guys can't wait to visit Japan
Thanks for the intro of this other mountain near Tokyo. I visited Mt Taka after watching your video on it. Really love your old cooking videos too, any chance making a few of those again?
This place is beautiful and I loved the tea house! I hope you can return one day and maybe spend a night or two there and really explore! Maybe try the kaiseki 🙂
Beautiful autumn colors
I felt like I was with you guys, love the soup promo with the little pig it looked so cute.
You two are so funny! 😂 I never had that before! You did! When? A year ago! 😂😂😂
The tea house is beautiful! Would love to have a meal there. Reminds me of a restaurant named Junsei in Kyoto where I had a yudofu set meal many years ago. Wonderful experience.
You can always count on there being a vending machine everywhere in Japan 😂 top of a mountain? ✅
As Jim Gaffigan a very funny stand up comedian said “I wouldn’t hike to escape the nazis”
So good for you both. You’re amazing.
Very steep walk down! 😮
Gorgeous!
You have burnt so many calories.... No wonder that you can eat so much.
Thank you very much for sharing your great documentary video with us.
I talked about the steep and uneven climb I did the temple it is 2,446 steps up Mt. Haguro even though it was hard work were it was light out it was worth the climb but my
advice walk down the road
OMG... I wonder how you move around if there is a big snow/ice storm? BEautiful beautiful town!
My First Kokoro box arrives today!
