First of all thank you very much for sharing this. It got worked for my PS4 PRO BUT with a big twist... that it works when i switched Input EDID to "Internal" and not "Display" so it can work interchangeably. One should check both options and find what may work for him. Thanks Kay Kay

well done I have been having this issue off and on, strangely enough. and the old settings worked for hdr on everything EXCEPT the ps5 which made it difficult to find the problem. this has been bugging me for quit some time, thanks for sharing your findings

Omg bless you bless you bro! The problem I had my capture card refused to capture in 4k period, it was stuck in 1080p. That “display” option finally recognized my tv as being capable of 4k ❤

I also figured it out for the 4k60 S+ playing around with it, but the problem is that the EDID goes back to normal when I disconnect it from the PC, so I can’t do 4k HDR in standalone mode.

You need to do this setup via the elgato 4k Capture utility ,once all setup you can record using the same software or obs, however setup is via elgato 4k capture. Here is the linkwww.elgato.com/en/downloads

Well instead of no hdr at all now its only 1080 hdr...

I had to change mine to internal instead of display. My ps5 now says hdr with 4k is supported.
