I hate that in the netherlands 5080's are selling for 5090 prices and it's literally MUCH cheaper to buy a prebuilt than a standalone 5080 because they cost 2000eu. And they still sold out! .. I also hate that the one time I decided to splurge on a high end PC it's the one time Nvidia decides to make it barely an upgrade over last gen. I spent 2900 on a prebuilt.. and that's insane to me. But what's more insane is that that's much cheaper than building it myself and it's also the cheapest I could get a prebuilt with 5080 which start around 3500. But the strange part is that the 4080 super prebuilts cost around the same. When I've seen 4080 supers for 1200 (but they go as high as 2K+). So if you're building a PC you can save a decent amount by building a 4080 super instead of a 5080 but if you're buying a prebuilt it's the same price and you might as well go with the 5080. I don't get these prices, I don't get this industry. I just wanted a high end PC, spend a fortune and feel like I got a higher end mid range lol. The difference in performance between the 90 and 80 is so large it almost sucks the excitement out for the 5080. I really, really want to experience cyberpunk at 4k path traced, hopefully the latency with dlss + framegen won't be too bad. In any other game I don't really care. I don't think path tracing or even ray tracing makes that much of a difference for most games. Certainly not path traced. But in cyberpunk path tracing looks INSANE

Be happy you didn't get one and wait for the beta testers to see how the 5000s work
Imagine the disappointment of so many of those campers 😭
You know something’s wrong when UA-camr beef is more exciting than a new hardware generation. It’s disrespectful to customers who waited so long, and it’s disrespectful to reviewers who had to put in tons of effort to run tests
The bar right against the ground, but I can’t wait to see AMD somehow limbo right underneath it when the rx9070 launches. At least the PC looks neat
11:55 my family lives in the bay but I live in Seattle, I didn’t get to see the Microcenter over the Christmas holiday but hopefully the next time I drive home I’ll be back to Seattle with a car-full of pc parts
I saw the news that people immediately scalped what they got hours ago before this video came up... Talk about spoilers.
we live in such a weird time... the highest end GPUs are worth more than my car
was able to snag a renewed 3080 ti off amazon with the 90 day warranty for under 700 after tax, im happy with that.
Good looking build.
Feel like I won the lottery getting my hands on a 5090. Even ended up being one of the ones I had on my list. Aorus Master. Even so, I am so annoyed that this launch has gone this way. Nvidia should have just delayed the launch a few more months to get some more stock. They knew it would be this high demand and its stressful for a lot of people. Even those I know want a 5080.
Paper launch? The 4000 series is already launched!
Oh the partner 5090 cool card I hear
I somehow scored a 5090 founders from BBY at 9am.
where?
Same, Best Buy did a second drop at 12:30 PM PST on launch day, I'm not sure if it was just whatever 5090 FEs got cancelled or the payment didn't post for, but I got lucky and grabbed one. Just waiting until Tuesday for it to arrive.
Bed bath and beyond?
@@scarx4181 stock is related to your location
@@Orinslayer during launch day it's bloodbath and beyond
I enabled dlss 4 on my RTX 4090 and I dont need a RTX 5090. NVIDIA scammed everyone with the 5000 series 😅
True. The RTX 5080 should have been an RTX 4070 Ti Super...
Yea upgrading from my 1660 super was really a scam lmao not everybody already had a 4090
3200mz out the box is insane
May not be the traditional parts Jay uses, but still looks pretty slick. That's a pretty expensive AIO though.
