They NEED to officially release this full concert as an album and film
Apparently there isn’t that much great footage of the concert. Best I’ve seen was about 12 minutes long. Nowhere near enough to make an album or a film.

@@barrygomersall9882 That's not true. The reason the copies on UA-cam are so shit are because they're leaked bootlegs from the video feed mix. When professionally mixed and remastered, it looks and sounds like 3:51 but only Queen Productions has the multitracks and multicams to do so.
@@barrygomersall9882 Queen most likely have a multi-track in the Archives somewhere cause they released “You Take My Breath Away” from the concert.

@@TheKoopaKings well Freddie - the showman in a tight white catsuit, just OWNING the stage - Brian with his favourite item, THAT RED GUITAR 😉Roger on a plinth bashing Merry hell out of his drums and John calmly playing the bass….thousands and thousands of people singing and dancing along to the music and not one ounce of trouble or problems (apart from needing the loo!! 😳) what was NOT to like?! It was as Wallace would have said “a grand day out….” 😃

The are brilliant people well connected to each other n grace dignity n respect for them all. Farrukh, Freddie M, was a vocal improvisation in USA. Remember Ao, Aaaaaoooo........ what God gifted n hard worker he was. No other than him could do 80000. People clap together. RIP F

Free concert indeed, but Queen didn’t managed to properly end the show.
Gotta catch the bands early. I never got to see Queen. Parents wouldn't let me travel to see them. When they came to the States, they were one of the few huge bands that never stopped where I live.

@@metallica-fan And I managed to see them 3 times in that period. And when they quit coming in 1982 I thought of all the live concerts in the future that I was never going to be able to see. And they never played live anywhere after 1986.

What a great accomplishment for Queen. Nothing like this will ever be duplicated by any band. Only Queen could make magic at an outdoor event such as Hyde Park. Would love to have a Blue Ray of this show.

I've listened to the bootleg of this show many times, I would love for it to be released officially. They did such an electric performance of Sweet Lady, love that it got some attention here.

I didn't have a stereo growing up
Lived where Queen didn't usually go - couldn't go to concerts anyway really.
Radio only plays certain songs
And 1982 SNL performance wasn't spectacular due to blown vocal cords (which were never told to the public at the time - so I didn't know the greatness that was Queen) - - my obsession for them now is making up that lost time. ❤

@@bethford6007 I remember the SNL performance! I didn’t know he had blown vocal cords. He sounded great in spite of that but his stage presence appeared a little shy or uncomfortable to me. Probably too small an audience!
@@honestannie9492 during SNL I think the unusualness of Freddie's behavior compared to concerts was more likely inner frustration knowing his damaged cords would change the quality of his voice (not match his reputation) and there was nothing he could do about it. Basically an angry Freddie. No doubt regrets the yelling match the night before. I think that experience turned Freddie off to performing in the USA and I don't think there were anymore Queen concerts after that (I'd have to check - I could be wrong on that).
Personally I think a performance on SNL back in those days was rather important to be spot on. A unique opportunity to showcase and reach an audience who may have never heard you or seen you perform. (2 songs - I'd have done a well known one "no doubt required by network" but the other I'd have chosen one not played on the radio) Just imagine if Freddie sang Dragon Attack like he did in Montreal 1981 during SNL ... what a turn out that would have caused!!!! ❤😍😍
How much better is your life now for letting Queen and Freddie Mercury in? They bring me enormous happiness and I swear I grieve for a man I've never even met because sometimes I just feel so full of sadness that he's not with us anymore. He was a beautiful wonderful force of nature who changed people's lives and the world!

2005 was the year I visited London on a solo trip. (remains my favorite vacation hands down).... I remember Hyde Park as a touchpoint to visit (although no event happening that day) and being home just a week before the bombs went off in the tube station I had just been using. I never knew I was this close to having the potential to see Queen. (my heart's a flutter)
And I've seen videos of this performance but never tied it to Hyde Park or 2005 before - LOVE IT !!!!!!!

Reactors who don't know a lot about them but watched the film have taken it as a true representation of their story and Freddie
From their comments they clearly have the wrong impression and mostly negative which I think is unfair

I was there in Hyde Park in 2005! The concert was postponed, which caused some troubles, but eventually I was still very happy to be there and see them!
