    Top class workmanship as always, as a fellow decorator how long does a job like that take you?, Im not looking to make derogatory comments, I work for a well established firm and my gaffer doesnt appreciate the work we do and thinks its all done at the click of a finger....standards matter mate, keep up the good work 👌

      And thats about right to do a proper job mate, our gaffer would expect it done in about 4 and a half days, i have the mindset that standards matter and it takes as long as it takes as long as the customer is happy

    Lining paper rather than re-skimming the walls? On camera it looks great! Can you see the seams or tell it's been paper'd once it's been painted?

    • @PaintingandDecorating

      It's perfect once done, only thing will let it down is rough plaster. Thanks

      @@PaintingandDecorating thank you. Where you butt the corners would you caulk those before painting? And seal all the edges etc

    I had large cracks between ceiling and exposed brick feature wall so I have raked them out, put soudal all the way along, cut it back and put toupret filler straight on the dry foam. I've sanded it all and quite happy with how it looks but do you think it will last? Thanks

    What colour did your customer choose for the walls? I really like it.

  • @acropolisnow9466

    You could cut out stages simply by using Toupret TX110 which has no depth limitation. Said it a fair few times on this channel. Polyfilla is an inferior product as well compared to Toupret. Still, you guys do good work, all looking good.

      @AspireDecorating Рік тому +1

      Good call, I always use tx110. Stands up really well to mechanical sanding, I find polyfilla, gyproc Easifill and knauf easifill just disintegrate like a digestive biscuit when I run the mirka over it. 👍

    Great job as normal, awful music though😂. How long and how much did you charge for this ?

  • @beecee6850
    @beecee6850 Рік тому +1

    Just put the lining paper on vertical, stop trying to be clever, it's easier the normal way, done thousands of rooms like this so I know

      @@PaintingandDecorating yes but making the job more fiddly, why do that, longer lengths will run out on bumpy walls then more faffing about, try vertical next time, trust me
