Good job! I've never seen anyone use tin foil before. I might try that. Typically ceilings are rolled in the direction of the lights coming in, but isn't that critical as it's flat paint. I would use a bigger brush to cut the ceiling and walls. I would also do it wall by wall so that I can roll into wet cuts.
Yes. They are some great tips
I find the best way for a ceiling is a thick line along 2 edges then back and forth to join in the middle
BNspew use valspar bases regardless of what brand you use.
If you use dulux in general get shades mixed in their bases.
I daily use crown so get any other made in crown bases.
Valspar not for me ,or many trade decorators in my area.
I've never had paint tinted. Is that just to adjust the colour when the option you want isn't available as standard?
You get way more colour options to choose from if you get it tinted. It starts out as a white base and the paint machine just adds colours to the base and shakes it to give you the tint you want.
Should you use specific paint for radiators so it's not affected by the heat?
You can get radiator paint but I have never seemed to have a problem with the crown, so I just use that. Gives a good finish
Why didn't you take the curtain pole down?
