More raw sound videos of you riding this beauty please! You are literally the only one out there who managed to capture the glory of that 865cc T100 soundtrack. Thanks mate!
I liked my 865 and wish I never sold it. I loved the 360 firing order with the Predator exhaust from British Customs. Perfect sound. I had Hagens shocks on it with heavier springs then recommended. I put Michelin Road 5 on it. 150 rear tire made it drop into curves so much easier because of the higher crown of it. I actually put a pair of Street Triple handle bars on mine with a 1" taller and 1' pull back risers. I also put a home made tail tidy on it. It was amazing as a cafe looking bike. I got a lot of compliments on it.
I can relate to finding a dream bike that just 'doesn't fit'. I bought a new Honda Africa Twin in 2018 and I figured that it was going to be my all rounder do it all machine. While it had heaps of power....which I really liked....I just didn't click with it so i sold it. This past spring I bought a left over 2022 T120 Bonneville and...well...yep...this is it. I love it more every day. Truly the machine for me.
When you pick up a bike and on your ride home you stop at a scenic spot and take photos…..that’s when you know you bought the right bike! My favourite bike of the ones that I have is my 2021 T100
I love riding my 865 ,I have changed out the front springs for progressive ones and replaced the rears with gas shocks, has vastly improved the ride quality and handling . Great video enjoy .
Hi was the front easy to do ?????? Where did u get them from and what type r the backs mine is a 15 plate 865 what size did u get ?? best wishes from Durham
Always loved the classic style, bought a W800 it was a POS, handled like a supermaket trolley, then got a mag wheel Bonnie, nice bike, not fast but did everything well. On the strength of that bought a Speed Twin 1200, absolutely love that even more.
Thanks for a great watch, I have that SHOE helmet what a ripper, mine matches the color of my T100 865 red/blk with whit pin stripe. I live in a small town in Southland New Zealand and the Bonnie is my release when I suit up and travel some of the most breathtaking scenery on earth. Only draw bag had to install a naked bug screen as the Dairy here breeds fly missile, bees and bumble grenades. And as you said the backfire pops are my favorite, changing down.
I had this Bonneville 865 2014 model. My favourite thing was THE SOUND! I love that angelic purr-purrr coming from back. Worst was the seat. It was like sitting in ruzzian village on wooden bench covered with babushka's headkerchief. It was unbearable, so I replaced it with Triumph "gel seat". It was tiny, tiny bit better now - like sitting on the same bench covered with two handkerchiefs. Well, biggest pain in the ass was that it scratched bottom on every third speed breaker (lying policemen). This is why this model come without central stand. I tried Indian Scout which looks much lover, bot to my surprise i got over all speed breakers without hearing metal scraping sound.
These earlier ones are the ones to get with the 360 degree crank proper old-school triumph sound. Triumph moved to a 270 degree crank from 2017 onwards which gives a similar sound to a 90 degee V twin which is nice but cant match the originality of the earlier set up.
Found your video after thinking about getting myself a Bonneville 865 next year. I've been riding an S plate, Suzuki Bandit for a while now and always fancied one of these.
I recently did the same 🙌 😁Returned to a Bonneville 865, only this time I chose the 17inch cast alloys model. It hits the sweet spot in so many ways. Enjoy the bliss.
What’s not to like, new south Devon biker here and picked up a new Bonneville, amazing all round bike for the lanes, just the right power, agility and sound
After years of Italian classics (yes they were 100% reliable I've never broken down on an italian bike, true story) i just had too many so I sold everything in 2021 and bought a 2013 T100 as my last ever bike. I've enjoyed making improvements, suspension front and rear, handlebars, seat, louder pipes and rack and pannier frames, I do all my own servicing and find it does all i need it to do.
your excitement really came over well in this video, I tried my brothers interceptor, but it didn`t suit me. This looks like a good fit, black, torquey, no frilly bits.
Those Triumphs are good looking motorcycles and I am sure they are a joy to own and ride. However, after owning my W800 for years and enjoying the sound of it's authentic 360 crank and firing order has spoiled me and I just feel there is something missing when I hear a 270 degree engine. The W is less powerful but it has enough power as you commented on your Triumph. I hope you enjoy your new bike. It is gorgeous. When you mentioned the Enfield 350 I knew you wouldn't be happy with it. The 350 is a great bike for certain riding but not all riding situations. Bob in Canada
Nice vid. I have a 2014 T100 and I absolutely love it. Came from a Gixxer 1000 L6 and I have no regrets whatsoever. I am 58 now and have no plans to swap it as it does everything I want it to. 🙂
Oh my god that is in mint condition! I'm gonna take my license next year, and my dream bike is a Bonneville. It might not be the fastest or best handling, but oh does it have character!
Nice video! Found your channel researching with hopes of getting my first t100. I don’t recall you covering it in the video, what year is this one?? Thx
I just sold my Harley, that's the best day of a Harley owners life, to get rid of his Harley. I've had four and they ride like a dump truck. I've been dreaming of a red 2023 Triumph Speed Twin 900 Chrome Edition, but I found an older 865cc Bonneville about the same year as yours for less than half the money of a new one, It is red and black, with allow wheels but the exhaust has been changed to trumpet style silencers. The new Speed Twins are suppose to have a very soft ride and this is very impoetant to me because my wife, who is crippled always rides with me. The passenger seat is where one feels all the manhole covers, road seams and pot holes. So I was wondering how the older 865cc Bonnevilles ride? Thanks for the video, I think the 865cc or the 900cc is the perfect size for riding, I don't need or want anything larger, like a 1200cc. Rife safe and enjoy every journey.
Nice bikes I have one of the last T100 865cc bikes on a 16 plate. Lovely bike to ride. It’s had some suspension mods and a 19 tooth front sprocket fitted to tame revs down a bit.
@@BorisTheDefender I will pick up a new to me 2022 T100 Friday. Bought it sight unseen except photos and short video. Dead of winter here. Lots of snow and freezing rain tonight. So, I'll have to use a trailer for the 600+ round trip and then clean it well when I get it in my garage. I'm feeling very lucky to have this bike.
Lovely looking example, can see why you bought it unseen. I at least would enjoy watching some videos of your new Bonnie on your channel, but no surprises there 😁
Hi I collected my Triumph 865se last Friday but within a hundred yards I high sided , the bike felt very snatch ie , don’t understand what went wrong , the bike was anything but smooth.
I love my 865 FI. More vintage sounding, than the current 270° Harleyish sounding Bonnies. The only shortcoming is the gearing on the faster motorway. My commute is on surface streets, which it's perfect for. I do wish the previous owner did not put a 2 into 1 on it. Yes, I could put a 2 into 2 back on, but the cost per bike value makes that hard to swallow. Enjoy!
Well what nice little vid.. bike looks mint, fancy I triumph myself possibly a Thruxton. That exhaust sounds awesome 👌.. Next step hitch on Boris to carry the Trunph 😊

I'm looking to change my bike this year and this is on my shortlist. Question how would it be for a larger guy ? I'm 6ft and 19st. I've seen a couple of reviews saying it's not the biggest of bikes and not a ton of leg room ?
I ride a ‘15 Triumph America Efi same motor- I love it - the perfect small displacement bike for a man sized man...the 350’s might be ok if your in India but here in Canada you can’t hit the road with something that small.
They say the 2 best days of motorcycle ownership is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Or is that boats? Anyway, it looks sharp and I hope you enjoy it!
I'm sure it's exactly the same as Freddies, he rides it all over the place, with almost no maintenance and it almost never let's him down. These 865's are great, no unnecessary gimmicks, just good honest bikes.
I had a 2015 SE but always felt it needed another gear and the wheels corroded under the laquer.I was dissapointed so chopped it in.Corrosion wise perhaps i was just unlucky.
I picked up an 07 Bonneville a few weeks ago for cheap. It runs great, but It runs kind of hot...compared to my vintage bikes anyway. Is that normal? If I put a laser thermometer on the fins near the spark plug it'll be 30 degrees hotter than my vintage Triumph. I would assume it to run cooler, since it has the oil cooler on it.
Nice wheels. Been on a similiar journey, stopping off with a CB500X along the way, superb bike, but not enough soul to keep you enthused. Back with an 07 Scrambler. Mods in place all as you outlined, with addition of black flyscreen. Only quibble I would have with your own are the cast wheels, but sound and feel unmatched as you say
Mate I've been looking to get a nice triumph for a few years now. If you could give me a hand in finding a nice one I would gravely appreciate it. I've got four and a half grand but it would be good to hear the honest decent price I'd be expected to pay for a good one. Hope you txt back mate .Your bikes beautiful I've grew up watching my dad's brother who never stopped going on about bonny's sadly he died on a bottom but he always said if he ever goes he wanted to go on a bike .I've been without a bike for over 9 yrs now and I'm definitely going for one for this next year. Freddie Dobbs, a great channel here and Bonneville advocate tours EVERYWHERE on it haha! I would say yes it's good for that. Ive had 130miles on a tank when the light came on.
Just come across yr channel and being a biker really enjoyed this video..ive got 2 Royal Enfields (classic 350 & super meteor 650) and have a small you tube channel where I show them off! ...did you do any other videos on yr previous bikes?...sub'd and although not really into Land rovers look forward to more bike related vids 👍
Hey! Thanks so much, really kind of you. Im so happy with the feedback from this video. SO nice to hear there is a good audience for it. I will have to check out your channel. No previous bike content but will be from now on.
I am in the midst of upgrading my ride, looking around to replace my old Aprilia Caponord 1200 ETV ‘04. Amongst others there’s one Triumph Street Twin 900 2020 model with almost 12k km. its the same engine and set up with your Bonnivelle no? Would be grateful if anyone can give a feedback on the same. At 57 this maybe my last purchase, need to be sure. Thanks in advance
Lovely motorcycle the Triumph Bonneville. I drove Land Rovers for 12 years as part of my job and I'd recommend them to No one . Toyota is a far superior vehicle and extremely reliable IMHO
It’s fascinating to hear your journey back to a Bonneville. Pure good vibes in this video- perfect way to start the weekend!

That sound like a great bike. The street twin is nice
