An excellent tutorial as usual...and just in time in the U.S.) for all those WIP Christmas pages that were stalled because of snow coverings 😂. Thank you too, for the great worksheet to practice on, It is really helpful!
Princeton Aqua Elite, Neptune, and Velvetouch are my favorite watercolor pencils. Neptune are softer and hold the most water, Velvetouch are pretty snappy and firm, and the Aqua Elite are in between the two and my personal favorites. Although I have several of each since I love to paint with watercolor. ❤
Beautiful job Kyra! For brushes I like to use a water brush because the bristles are really firm and it's helpful for getting those sharp edges--I have Pentel and Kuretake brands. I'd recommend any regular brushes by Princeton or Royal & Langnickel (look for mixed media brushes that aren't as soft as some watercolor brushes).
Beautiful colouring in hun with the paint brush I’ve seen artists use Princeton I’ve brought them they are beautiful brushes to use I hope this helps ❤❤❤😊😊😊xxxx
Yay!!!! I am so excited for this video. My friend just sent it!!:And you use watercolor color pencils!? I have some that I have never used. Consider me subscribed with all notifications turned on.
I liked the first style before you did the white outlines. I thought it looked really realistic but once you got rid of the outlines it kinda looked eh, not as real and then the snow mound blended into the tree and it just wasn't as good imo.
I've seen that several watercolorists like the Princeton brand of paintbrushes? There are a few who have come out with their own like Paintcrush by at Kristy Rice. I don't know how pricey they might be in Australia... I hope you find some that you really love!! 🤗
Those are really cute techniques, especially number 3!! 🥰 I was wondering if putting a touch of a dark green on the evergreens at the shadow would work to bring the snow on them to pop and emphasize the tree would work? I love how the evergreen color shows through on the snowy trees! 🎄 Merry Christmas!! ❣️
I’m so glad you liked the techniques! You could definitely add a bit of green to the shadows of the trees if that’s what you’re feeling. There are no rules 😉❤️
hello, thank you for your video but I am a little confused. I was told that you have to put the shadows behind the lines of the snow. and you placed them before the snowheeps. can you help what to do??
I honestly don’t follow any strict “rules” when it comes to shading. I just try to keep the shadows consistent across the page however I decide to approach them. I showed the process you’re talking about in method 1 and 3 ☺️
A new video! I’m in the US and your uploads appear just as I sit down with my morning coffee. It’s so nice! ☕️
I'm so glad the videos are arriving just in time for your coffee! 💖
I absolutely love these, especially when you added the white posca , that just made the snow stand out! Thanks for sharing❤
You’re welcome! I’m so glad it was helpful for you 🥰

I understand! I think it comes down to personal preference - what looks more realistic to you 😉✨

She did it in example 2 and 3 I think
